Take Me Down
Shadow
Take Me Down With You
For The Last Time
You’re In The Water
I’m Standing On The Shore
Still Thinking That I Hear Your Voice
Can You Hear Me ?
For The Last Time
At Night I’m Driving In Your Car
Pretending That We’ll Leave This Town
We’re Watching All The Street Lights Fade
& Now You’re Just A Stranger’s Dream
I Took Your Picture From The Frame
& Though You’re Nothing Like You Seem
Your Shadow Fell Like Last Night’s Rain
For The Last Time
Its 2024 and this is still a banger
Every song was great in Twin Peaks season 3 but imo this one is the only one that capture the same magic and ambient as "Falling"
*JUST YOU*
@@adorno_gang37 hahaha true
i amazed with lot more tracks situations in twin peaks return especially when nine inch nails played track so hard. i had goosebumps.
No, I think that Julee Cruise - The World Spins more looks like "Fulling"..
Yes it fits the atmosphere and she is also incredibly pretty, but nice song
Lynch: You know what goes down great in biker bars?
Person: Heavy metal?
Lynch: No
Person: Punk?
Lynch: No, Dream-Pop. Bikers love Dream-Pop.

good old books and covers
I lost my shit when they just played ZZ Top through the PA for one episode.
James loves dream-pop, and he is coolest biker, always was.

This song evokes a feeling that I cannot describe
Its very alluring and irresistible but you know its going to hurt you.
A feeling of wanting to be in a certain place, in a certain time, with a certain someone but it’s long gone
It feels like a really pleasant dream.
Same
This song makes me miss something that I don't know
This is going to be stuck in my head longer than Cooper in the Red Room
Same here. I've been listening to this about a dozen times a day since the episode aired, and I don't think I'm going to stop any time soon.
I've had the theme song stuck in my head for the last 15 years so a change is very welcomed.
Man in the Radiator and just when am about to forget about nightingale....here comes Julie cruise again!!
I've known this song for a long time. It does have a habit of getting stuck in the brain.
OrehBelich92 so does I wish you were red by the same band
David Lynch always has best soundtracks
he's a true music lover xoxo
Yes correct
If you told me this before I watched Twin peaks. I wouldn't have believed you.
in what movie did he put this song in?
@@cat9448 Twin peaks, Season 3 Ep 1
3 years and still listening with same energy. This never gets old
Same here. Chromatics really takes you down a rabbit hole. ❤ 😎
What a time to be alive
It truly is timeless.
right here with you
Incredible piece really, takes me to another world.
Kavinsky - Nightcall and this song. Must-haves for long night drives.
Whoa that was what the algorithm chose for me just before this one. Are you from the future?
that gum you like is going to come back in style
lol, what's gum?
Ian fruit by the foot....bubble tape.. or yikes stripes..
Little did we know it would be an electric tree with that wad of gum on it. Lol
Michael Challinoir is it wrong that I loved the tree 😁
Steve Redfield It's so wrong it's right.
The log sent me.
I am the log.
I found the log @switztube
That’s a 10 4 good buddy.
Did you burn it?
Sent you where?
This song feels soooo much like a loveletter to Julee Cruise. STRAIGHT from the heart.
Julee is the all time queen of the roadhouse
It was kinda weird though. Julee was still alive and they filmed with her when they made The Return. However, she said they ended up mostly cutting her performance and that it was a slap in the face. Ouch.
I thank David Lynch for introducing me to them. They haven't left my ears since Twin Peaks The Return.
amazing!
:)
Yep, David was an unstoppable force from 1977 ['Eraserhead'] to 2002 ['Rabbits'] - peak [pun] years. He is still around as of this writing (77 yo), but not doing anything breakthrough.
I found them in the 2011 movie "Drive" - Chromatics have been showing up in movies for a long time!
David Lynch is a fucking genius, nobody ends an episode like he did with this song
Yes!
That first episode was so sparse in music and so strange in tone and set almost entirely outside of Twin Peaks. But finally, at the end, we're back to a more familiar place, with more familiar faces --> we're finally getting a PROPER taste of "Twin Peaks" after nearly two hours of appetizers and this absolute dream of a song sinks us right down into the depths of that meal that was always so surreal and dreamy.
Fucking brilliant move.
The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.
Twin Peaks! I was 17, and now I'm 43. Awesome closing song! I hope all of you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Joe we are exactly the same age and yes I loved both the song& episode! ✌️
I'm only 29 and recently discovered Twin Peaks in the last 5 years. I can't imagine what the last 26 have been like for you.
Shades of Julee Cruise....great song choice and placement
Oh I loved it ;O... I'm 29 and wonder where all the years have gone lol.
Joe, Angela. Me too! Rather cunning of them to make you think this was Julee from a distance (in the show). I thought "she's aged well"!
That lovely whispering voice, those synthesizer strings and chorus, that heartbeat drumming, those hypnotizing eyes, that owl cave ring, the red velvet curtain background..... I can't take it, my heart is going to explode..... What a masterpiece.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯
yes indeed....music can be a psychoactive substance....glad to be alive and hear this
Truth
👍👍
❤
I can't imagine the world of cinema without Lynch
No news since 2017 season 3 twin peaks and no films since 2007
Incredible song and somehow perfect for Twin Peaks in a modern age.
David Lynch has a good musical taste
Very Julee Cruise sound.
EXACTLY
I can only agree with all of the above. This song couldn't be more perfect.
I really recommend you to listen to the song called Candy Girl by Trailer Trash Tracys. It has that strange Twin Peaks feeling.
This song is about to explode
Chase Wiedenmeyer. Lol. its been out for almost 3 years
He never said it didn't. But exposure on the premiere of a highly anticipated tv show may give this song the exposure it deserves.
It's not like there is an expiry date on it or something. A product can become HUGE even years after the release.
abonny An example would be the Australian band Empire of the Sun song Walking On Dream. It got them alot of exposure and spots on US talk shows performing it like the Ellen Degeneris show, years after its original release, because it started playing in a car commercial.
To those who wants more of that "Twin Peaks feeling": listen to the song called Candy Girl by Trailer Trash Tracys. You won't regret I promise you
This song was such an integral aspect of the triumphant return of Twin Peaks.
What an insightful, genius move by Lynch.
so incredible
Just watched that episode and immediately had to look this song up. What a moment..
One of the best tracks ever conceived, written, played, sung, produced, shot and gifted to humanity.
thankyou for watching xo
I'm watching it on Twin Peaks as I write this!😊
Are you crazy, hugh, hugh? :-)
THAT TWIN PEAKS PREMIERE WAS GREATEST OF ALL TIME
Good choice, Mr. Lynch.
Mmm
I recently finished the entire series and I'm already feeling nostalgic
This song is pure longing that twin peaks is over and won't coming back
Twin Peaks never ends if you truly understand its message. It"s not a mistery to solve, it's about our world, about ourself
How it feels to finally stop caring about what was once a life altering heartbreak. That part of you is barely a whisper and it's melting away utterly. You know what happened, but it hardly matters anymore. You're saying goodbye to that part of you forever.
Just a strangers dream
Well said. For me its about death taking those that you live for pass away. Just wishing you can join them.
Still waiting for that day…. Brilliantly articulated! ❤️
@@ukuma1 thanks!
@@emilysigmund1255I am so happy for that guy. You're absolutely horrible, and he's much better off. Probably regretted the temporary insanity and loss of judgement that led to talking to you
Leave it to a 71-year-old David Lynch to keep me up on current music.
Yup, seems like most people give up on finding new music as they get older. I'm 52 and still get excited when I find new music that moves me.
Yea I love new and all kinds of music. It’s so much fun and different to listen to different kinds of music 🤘🏽
The same happens to me. Every year it gets harder to find good new music but it's still possible...

Summer 2017. Unforgettable. The greatest television viewing experience of my life.
Is it weird that I already feel nostalgia for Twin Peaks The Return.
No.
A little.
I want Twin Peaks the re-return
No it;s not. Twin Peaks was a phenom, dark and disturbing, and hopeful and touching at the same time.
And that this ethereal girl and her angelic voice with twin peaks.....yeah I can die now.
Because he just is dude.
I died when Twin Peaks featured Chromatics. It felt like a circle had been completed.
agreed xo
for me it was Lissie but the Veils was surprising as well, didnt know Chromatics but now Im in love with Ruth haha.
Its hard to understand twin peaks....it's impossible to explain it
@Stephen Wright Bingo. I had the same feeling once this track was featured in the episode. It was perfectly timed to that stage of events.
@@Etereys I heard it was an amazing show. I watched the first episodes of season 1 and it was very strange. Should I skip ahead or start Twin Peaks from the beginning again?
Am 64 an i love this song an twin peaks.Julie cruise had a haunting but lovely voice.
I have an incomprehensible level of respect for David’s musical tastes
Just watched Twin Peaks return. This song is magic. Has the palpable subtlety of Julee Cruise and Questions in a World of Blue. Perfect for the scene with James.

The return of Twin Peaks is one of the best things I know. I don't know if there has been anything in TV I've waited so much to happen.

Those twin peaks epi is the greatest premiere of all time David lynch a genius
Just have to eternally mentally block out season 2.
I need a fourth season of Twin Peaks.I need Twin Peaks to never stop
no, it is perfect like it is.
After the craziness of the first two episodes, this song felt like warm, cozy bkanket.
A perfect fit for Twin Peaks. The new show is fucked up creepy, funny, hard to follow and AMAZING
Luke repeat viewings are helping with the head fucks. I think may actually slightly understand what's going on...ish... Oh fuck it who am I kidding 😂
It will all make (some) sense once we've seen all 18 parts. ;)

It s very imoressive
Great song and glad to see Chromatics in Twin Peaks!
Five years later and this is still the song of Summer '17
classic xo
Just discovered this song thanks to Twin Peaks. It could not have come at a better moment, I really needed a song like this right now in my life.
it is happening again
Yeahhhhh
Yeah...
"Starring Kyle MacLachlan" and this theme playing at the end of the first episode is the most thrilling experience for me when there were at least 16 hours of this surreal adventure ahead and I was prepared to go to the bottom of this rabbit hole. One step in a week.
Agreed. When I heard this song play I KNEW I was watching "Twin Peaks" and just went with the rest of the series. Glad I did.
and what a rabbit hole it was
what a moment that was...the mystery was officially back, soaked in melancholy and excitement.
I think the best part of this series was the fact that there was almost no sound track or nostalgia for the first 4 hours. One would think that this was intentional as Lynch wanted us to linger in the silence of what if it was not as we remembered (like Doughy) and we least expected it .... it all comes back.
And it was the most shltty season for a tv show i've ever watched.
This song is still cool. It's always been cool
I just saw this for the first time and my mind went straight to David Lynch and Twin peaks! I had no idea this is what it was! I was in my mid 20's when the very first TP's showed up on the television. I'm 62 now. This is such a a bizarre flashback. So many people in my life are gone now. So strange.
Ok so after watching Twin Peaks, was only going to end up here to hear this mesmerising song again
if Jules Cruise was the soundtrack of the last fable of our adolescence, this song is that of our maturity: Electronic, evolved, yeah, but the emotion is the same. Thank you Lynch for having given us Twin Peaks only after 25 years, because the protagonists are became old as us, giving the illusion that the fable has never ended. Return back in Twin Peaks has been like going back melancholy to a real place of our youth.
Chomatics Shadow takes us into a world that is ours alone!
As my mind dissipates into dreams, my inner galaxy dissipates into eons,
Forget this fear of life, it is the shortest and most skillful way, to transport me to something,..I feel pleasure, nostalgia, nostalgia, love, joy... It moves me.
My space my stillness.☄️
Twin peaks is a masterpiece just like this song
thank you for listening xo
New Twin Peaks was incredible! thank you Mr. Lynch & Co and of course Chromatics for this beautiful song!
I cried. What a show and what a song!!!
this song... the feeling... i cannot explain it
It's something that hits us... this song impacts our own very soul

👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
The song sits somewhere between perfect and sublime.
Her voice is as stunning as her entity...
Imagine being stuck in the red room forever with this playing and little buddy dancing around
This song's vibe just totally fits Twin Peaks!
So does the title..."Shadows" is so Lynchian!
FUCK TO THE YEAH!
That restaurant full of thots? No way.
* Shadow
God bless David Lynch for realizing, once again, how important music can be in setting the mood. I think the fact that this song moves a little faster and has more of a beat than the Julee Cruise songs seems appropriate, too, somehow for these faster paced times. Ruth Radelet is beautiful to look at and added some badly needed pretty scenery to the series. With most of the actors from the series looking like they're ready for a senior retirement center and the absence of a young Lara Flynn Boyle, Sherilyn Fenn, and Sheryl Lee, not mention all the great looking men of the original - there doesn't seem to be nearly as much to look at in this one, but I'm only on the third episode. Just subscribed to Showtime on Amazon, hoping it gets better. I wouldn't have recognized the character of James if they hadn't called him out, and sad to see the handsome Kyle Mclachlan looking so old, too.
A damn fine song to close the show.
The instant this came on in the show was so perfect. The song itself is like the perfect final note to the song that was the episode. The way it fades in and then the credits start rolling. I can't believe this has only 14 m views. It's spectacularly gorgeous. Even the aesthetics of the video, the instruments reflecting the light
best song ever, best context ever, best show ever, best memories ever
so good
Seeing the Chromatics work with David Lynch is perfect
"James is still cool!" - Shelly
haha yeah sure he is. lol
Ah James... the Jar Jar Binks of Twin Peaks. :)
That shit was funny, and a little heartwarming
James was always cool
That was strangely poignant for some reason and James sucks.
Yes …. Love the music … it take my soul to another place
One of the best songs ever 💜... I love Twin Peaks.
I hope all of the roadhouse music is like this from now on
This was the perfect song for the end scene in Twin Peaks. Takes my breath away and brought me to tears watching that scene. Perfection!
Leah Moore The perfect subtle nods to past episodes and live performances every ending of each episode is very mesmerizing.

Rest in Peace Catherine Coulson a.k.a "The Log Lady". This Song is for You! OInsert_CoinO 💟💟💟💟💟
OInsert_CoinO the scene where she tells hawk she's dying destroyed me
That was one of the bravest performances I've ever seen. She couldn't have known she would die four days after filming that scene, but she must've realized it wasn't far off, and to be able to do a scene like that must've taken unbelievable strength. I know she really wanted to be back, though; she'd apparently kept the log all through the years, just in case it was ever needed again.
Well said all. Unbelievably brave, and a fine actress--and Integral to this season. A gift from her, to all of us.
Almost cried when James enters the bar on this music, and looks at Shelly. What a beautiful moment!
Alina Gabriela Zetu wasn't Shelly with bobby?? Did I miss out on something in season 2?
pretty sure she just means old friends since Shelly and Bobby have a fucked up kid
James was looking at Shelley’s friend Renee. But otherwise I agree. I actually did cry. I also cried when Ed and Norma finally got together. What a moment.
I fully agree!!! I've too cryed! )))
Shelley was beaten by Leo with soap in socks. Good for her. My regards from Poland.
Thank you for creating this song... I'm listening to it for the umpteenth time, coming back to it year after year, yet it still manages to touch something inside of me. Thank you for writing and performing it from the bottom of my heart :'(
