This show was not afraid to get graphic at all while adding comedic one liners. Fantastic show lol
I mean, there were some spots that I wasn’t impressed with, but I blame that on budget/special effects technology

I loved this show so much as a kid. I always watched it with dad while my brother always ran away and mom always questioned us "How can you let her watch this?! And why do you like it?! What is wrong with the two of you?!!" we always laughed so much when mom was screaming like this, especially when she came in the moment when someone in the show died.

The strongman had a heart attack from the shock of seeing his insides become outsides, if I remember correctly.
Can confirm as someone who watched the show a lot as a kid ^_^ also for the first one what happened was the distracted construction worker lost control of the concrete saw and the blade went flying into her 😬
He did have a heart attack, yes, but it was actually from all the strain being put on his chest cavity as a result of lifting the heavy rock

The ways some people go out are silly and some horrific. But a lot of them require common sense. As always, Jen is is killing it with these reaction videos. You two are a great combo!
The sun tanning bed part reminded me of the hilarious deadly ways in the "final destination" movies, there might be some future reactions? :D
The last death they covered in this video always disturbed me as a kid, it still kinda does today which is why I really wanted to watch this video
I only have seen dramatic re-enactments of severe injuries from heavy machinery, like a forklift or pneumatic jackhammer. But the suntanning bed injury may have been inspired by a case when a bride to be was killed as a result of a acne medication that caused her to be more sensitive to UV light and she died from a severe skin infection and wicked sunburn.
The last one; I am fully convinced that Shelly and her roommate had some kind of heated argument before is Shelly decided to pass out right on her like that.

The sweet, playful dynamic between them just tugs at my heartstrings in all the right ways!😊 (Also, for some crazy over-the-top and Halloween season appropriate reaction fuel, I recommend 2016's "Terrifier", and it's 2022 sequel, "Terrifier 2", featuring the depraved and nightmare inducing killer, 'Art The Clown'!😱)
Terrifier would make for a very informative episode, however I'm guessing the copyright would be intense, not to mention the UA-cam censorship

I didn't know you can be dehydrated from burn injuries. Interesting
Its something to do with regulation of temperature if I'm not mistaken (Any nearby Dermatologist feel free to chime in). I imagine as the largest organ on our bodies, its quite crucial to maintaining our temperatures so naturally when you burn away large quantities of it (Especially like this AND after making it even more susceptible to such injuries), that regulation is effectively gone.
This was my fav show. The deaths are so exaggerated and funny
There are so many times I wonder "what happened next" like who would be charged for some of these.
I remember taking a antibiotic that caused easy sunburns. It was for my pneumonia. I remember getting sunburned through my truck windows!

I got sunburned on my legs worse than that last one. They turned black and purple and were covered in blisters. No cream or tanning beds required, just a day at the beach with my legs in the water. It was so bad my PCP wanted me to take the helicopter to the burn ward in Chapel Hill, but my baby was only a month or two old, and I wanted to be home to help take care of him. I just ended up being an extra baby for his mom to take care of though. Instead of just changing diapers, she also had to change my bandages. Major oversight and a lost opportunity to ride in a helicopter. 😔
I liked the first clip best. Not only was it gory, I think Jolene had it coming. She already done took Dolly Parton's man, now she wants these construction workers too? I don't think so.
I love these Doctor Wagner and Mrs. Doctor Wagner team up videos best, and this one was every bit as great as the rest.
I watched every episode of 1000 Ways To Die and I'm surprised it was shown on TV but I'm not complaining.
Remember the staff read about real deaths and mixt stuff up to conceal the identity of the deceased. So they were inspired by real events hence the disclaimer, if you watch the show.

If I remember correctly, the prolapse thing had the man die of a heart attack. I think he saw himself, and that paired with the strain caused him to have a heart attack.

Never used one and I definitely will never use one
Good ol' pain killers. They definitely have their place to be used in situations when pain can be unbearable, but they also have their place to not be used. We experience pain for a reason, after all. And when all you're doing is covering up the pain without actually healing the problem causing the pain, you obviously run the risk of aggravating the cause of the pain because you're no longer perceiving your body's warnings. I've always felt like they should be chiefly used as a last resort, while most pain is better off endured.

I used to watch this show late at night when visiting my grandma's house. Our parents didn't really check on us in the little room we stayed in, so we could get away with staying up late. This was just one of the shows we would pick.
Actually, While Jolene removes her tank top and asks the workers to put suntan lotion on her, the guy using the concrete saw gets distracted and loses control, launching the blade, right into Jolene's stomach, splitting Jolene in half, and she dies, much to the horror of the construction crew.

How are you going to get heart failure from a tanning mishap that only resulted in 2nd degree burns? If this was a true story, she must of had pre existing heart issues and the heat triggered that
Dehydration from the burst blisters.
As he stated, that amount of tissue damage can cause high potassium leading to heart failure.

My mom once caught me watching this show right when she called me to the table to eat some spaghetti. A dude took a metal ball to the head, and she wasn’t pleased. Not something that she wanted implanted in her brain as she ate spaghetti covered in meat sauce.

That first one was the saw blade breaking off the concrete cutter. Crazy thing is one of those made the news a week or so ago for breaking off and traveling at high speed through a parking lot before embedding into the front of a gas station.

I'm actually fascinated (and slightly horrified) by the last clip. I myself have been using creams specifically made to treat Psoriasis (Before I got the shots to get it under control, I was suffering with both Plaque Psoriasis and another where my mid section was dotted with spots that felt like my skin was being pulled apart every time I moved) and this is the first time I've heard of this ingredient. I don't see it on my current creams so I'm guessing they don't use it anymore? Would really like to know more about it.
