I’m glad to hear that this sounds good being that mine should be delivered in two more days! Definitely update after you’ve tried it with a lid! I love how the carbon lid looks with the APR carbon engine cover and will go that route eventually. I didn’t order those yet just to save money. I just installed a BFI shifter and boot that look and feel great and am thinking I’ll add a sigma6 shirt shift kit the same day that I do the intake. Plus I might remove my clutch delay valve but wanna research that a little more.
Sounds very nice. I snagged an MST CAI just awaiting for it to be shipped. Picked that one because it had the most improvement for airflow. I forgot who it was, but a guy bought and tested all of the CAI for air volume movement and that one came on top. I have had the GTI for about a month and a half and still love getting in it and looking back when i get out if it. I also already put the cobb titanium exhaust on and saved about 20lbs, but i made that back up with a 10inch sub in the car lmao. I bought the Cobb exhaust from cobb themselves because they had a $500 off sale going on at the time.

For the coolant hose, instead of on top like the OE box, does that go under the APR intake box? Awesome videos! Just subscribed since I am going to be doing similar upgrades to my 40th AE GTI
Yup it just goes under the intake. It’s kind of bent under but that’s how APR advises to install ha. Awesome! Thank you for watching! Good luck with your build!
I had no cover on mine in the summer. Temps stayed pretty good. Depending on how you drive it but you’ll be fine with no cover 365. Also yes APR not including the breather was disappointing

Thanks man! Im new to this 4 cyl turbo world. Do you need to tune the car w/ this mod? Does VW frown on this as far as warranty goes? Any other cool, beginner mods like this?
No tune required for the intake 👍. I wouldn’t think an intake would affect the warranty. As VW has to prove your mod caused whatever issue you bring the car In for. That would be hard to do over an intake ha. I would say an intake and exhaust are probably the most beginner friendly mods 🙂 Thanks for watching!
I went this route as it was used for sale in my area but will definitely add the closed lip APR offers if I keep the intake on the car. Congrats on your GTI! Awesome!

It does. I should have been more clear in the video regarding this but it plugs back into where the original OE breather hose disconnects when removing the factory box. 🙂👍
@@daily_driven I still have my 2023 Mustang GT Grabber blue I’ve always been a Mustang lover for over 30 years I’ve owned like 10 my favorite one was my 1966 Mustang fastback GT 289 but I sold it to buy a house I miss it like crazy I will never find one like mine ever specially in the condition mine was I had all matching numbers and original floors that is very hard to find I sold mine for 60k like 6 years ago I’m sure you will own another Mustang in the future 👍💪

Sounds incredible. Is all that noise just the intake ? Or do you have an aftermarket diverter Valve too?

No, I have a Apr intake and turbo inlet on my 23' Arteon. No problems with warranty work!
Any difference for throttle response?
Maybe a little bit but mainly just sound. I’m sure it will pair well with a tune when we do that 👍

I bought a 2024 Mustang GT because of you and now you switched to MK8 GTI. But I understand, do whatever makes you happy.
Wasnt there a engine cover recall because it was catching fire? I think they just remove it now
Yeah there was a recall on the earlier Mk8s but now most of the new ones ship with the revised engine cover. 👍

Actually I came from turbocharged 4 cylinders before having the GT so it’s not anything I’m not use too lol. But the GT did sound amazing!
