Bro…that old feature presentation thing just brought back so many memories. Thank you, John, for putting that in your video, You are a gentleman and a scholar.
Kinda random but I grew up watching these flick trips on a crappy laptop when I was a kid still stealing my neighbors internet just to be able to watch them (2011/2012 maybe?) and now I’m 19 coming back to catch up on these 😂
Well he’s a teenager or young adult In the states that is , your a legal adult at 18 But obviously in reality it’s not the case I’d say mid 20s your an adult Shit im 30 and I don’t feel like one 😂
Whenever John teases the idea of selling his entire movie collection (including his blu rays) I have a mini heart attack. It's a miracle I'm still alive honestly.
I prefer the comfort of the room or wherever rather than green screen too. Disingenuous is not a bad adjective for it. Physical media or posters or what have you is a much more interesting stage, so to speak.
Man .. ive been watching your vids since 2015, and this one feels like growing up, and letting things go, particularly the iron sheets u used as background back in 2016 that you no longer need nowadays. Old times...
Just in case everyone is not aware, there are a few organizations that will accept donations of DVD's for the military. They send them to troops that are deployed, or to Navy ships & Subs for example.
I'm currently in the middle of moving house, so I completely get that "bogged down by your possessions" feeling. I have a 1000+ DVD/Bluray collection which I spent two entire days building shelves for, moving it to, and organizing it in the new house. And while I haven't gotten rid of any of them yet, the experience did make me realize how many of those I never watch and how many I've never even opened. I think there is going to be a culling in my future.
I bought Howard the Duck on 4K two weeks ago to upgrade my dvd of it and absolutely love it. I'm an 80's baby so I grew up on cheesy movies and have a soft spot for Howard the Duck in particular. Might have something to do with a crush I had on Leah Thompson.lol
Don’t ever stop making Flick Trips John. Your travels inspire me a lot and that may sound weird, but your videos do motivate me to accomplish my goals. I’m trying to move out myself. This my first time moving out, so it’s definitely going to be a learning experience.
Mega Replay is pretty awesome, I get my movies there. Great selection and honestly fairer than a lot if places for selling used. Also Fort Wayne Represent!! Welcome to Summit City John!
I remember watching your videos in 2012. I was just 15. dude youre still my favorite UA-cam content creator. and youre getting old and so am i. 24 now going to be 25 in January. thanks John for the shit you do. edit gd John you have grey hairs now. hey man but aging like fine wine
Please bro PLEASE JOHN Keep doing flick trips or videos because damn dude these were the best these take me back to the good ole days don’t get me wrong I like the lives but this is you bro this is perfect like it feels personal and it feels like damn dude much love John ur audience misses these truly
I like a good room, variety is great. I compulsively downsize or rearrange, get feeling like my stuff becomes an extension of me, so I like getting rid of stuff.
I never knew you lived in Fort Wayne and once I saw the Walmart and hobby lobby it blew my mind cause of how close I was. I went to PFW and I shopped at that Mega Replay all the time!
The best thing is to have a curated collection of your favorite movies. A lot of people regret their collection when they realized it's bloated with a bunch of stuff just for the sake of owning stuff. I've been collecting for 20 years and I think I just cross over the 700 mark. Having said that, out of the 700, only about 150 are out in display. The rest I actually kept the discs and artwork and ditched the plastic cases. This allowed me to consolidate all those movies to 1 small bin
I'm at the point in my movie collection life where the only DVDs I buy are either a) not available on Blu-Ray or b) cheap ones at re-sale shops that I haven't seen and want to see. If I like it, I'll keep it until I can replace it on Blu-Ray and if I don't like it, I'll just sell it somewhere else. That said, I did just buy 7 DVDs from Goodwill.
I used to go by the (do i love it?) method… now since we live in crazy times and things get canceled and hidden away i use the (do i like it?) method. It helps to have a hard copy
That was an amazing return. I tried selling a bin of blu rays to half price books atleast 80 and they offered me $8 lol. As much as I wanted to get rid of them I was like yeah I’m not that dumb
Speaking of Batman , i always consider it to be more like Catman. It resembels more like a cat ears , maybe similar to Black Panther. The suit is a combination of Black panther , Suit from Crysis and Iron Man . The Mask Vigilante is a thing that every superhero has basically . If I was the original creator of Batman , i wold have make an army of Bat drones that Batman has to help him. Same thing with Spiderman , a fleet of spider drones. Something cool. P.S.: i would loved to see a TV series with War Machine , maybe with a War Machine Mech. Something to blow out mind. When we are kids we imagine far more cool scenarios.
Went thru my shelf of dvds recently to see if anything stood out to watch… found my double feature of Problem Child 1 & 2!! Fun watch & brought back great memories of the 90’s 😊
I was waiting for “Over The Top” impression like the one you did yours ago..still that that was funny af! Yup I need to do the same with my dvds too.. great to see you back keep up the great work… #staygold 👊🏽🎥🍿👍🏽
I've gone digital for the most part, I'm a traitor, I know. Haha, I've kept my collectors editions though. :D in the UK we've got something called Cash Exchange or CeX nowadays. I was given a penny for some of my DVD's XD but my old games, man they keep rocking up in price. Good to have you back my man!
I just did the math. During the last twenty years, I have averaged one move every 1.5 years. So don't feel bad. However, I must state that whereas moving feels cool when you're young, when you get into your late thirties every move begins to feel like a prolonged root canal.
I’m gonna guess it’ll cost $50! And that’s forgiving lol. Great video so far John, really miss these type of videos, grew up with them, I just turned 20 and these videos really make me feel nostalgic ❤️
Damn!! $332 is really good, I thought they were going to be unforgiving hahaha Keen to see the Flick Cave evolve, thanks John! Long time viewer from Australia
A lot of Blus they only pay a penny for now. I used to go about every 6 months and would take 30ish Blus each time. It'd be a bit of a pain but I'd walk away with just north or south of £100 each time. Last time I went it was only just over £50. I commented that it was a lot less than usual and they said that they stopped paying much for films because of streaming. £50 wasn't bad but more than half the films only sold for a penny and I only really got a notable amount for the few 4Ks I sold. It's put me off going back because if I take the wrong films I might not even make enough to pay for parking! It's also messed with my whole buying approach because I used to buy knowing I could sell films I didn't like or grew tired of and reinvest but that option doesn't feel like it's there now, unless I want to take on a second job of selling discs on Ebay.
I packed up all my DVDs and put them in my folks basement for storage. Maybe 500 DVDs. Had already moved on to Blu-ray, and it was very unlikely that I would ever watch any of them again. Anyways, long story short, they had a flood and they all got wet. The insurance company gave me money to replace them all, all at original or current-equivalent value!! I had kung-fu movies I bought for $1, and I found other versions of the same movie on amazon for like $90! Even regular old movies, were often still selling for $15-$30 brand new. Got a check for like $10,000 for that garbage! Miss my Robocop Criterian collection tho. . .
Whenever I watch Howard the Duck (which is all the time), I use precisely 7 ice cubes, which makes my glass wet with condensation, so I run my palm along the outside of the glass until it’s glistening and then I touch myself with my wet hand when the duck is in the bathtub. Mind you this all happens within the first ten minutes of the movie.
I sold a lot of DVDs to my local dvd exchange several months ago. They weren't able to take 4 of them. One reason was they were on a "do not sell" list. Took those to my local half price books several days later with no problems
I've been selling alot of my old DVD's lately, the place usually gives me $1 a DVD, but they wont take them if they already got the film in stock. Its crazy this place is still buying copies of Vantage Point? They never gonna get rid of those
I used to go out and buy blurays on black friday. But I started to downsize so now I only buy a movie if I really really like it and it's one of my favorites. So maybe one or two blurays a year. With disney plus having every marvel movie and star wars and HBO max having everything WB I just figured theres no point for physical copies anymore.
I should’ve taken to trip to sell my collection there. I sold off over 600 Blu-ray’s and only pulled in $500. For only DVD’s that impressive. I guess that Over The Top VHS really is good luck, I need to get one of my own.
John are you going to do a new top ten Horror movie list of what your watching this Halloween? one large pizza bbq wings 3 ice cubes no more no less...
John's slowly looking to look old in his recent vids.. and in this one we can see his gray hair. Yeah people grows older, but being a subscriber since 2014 and seeing him selling his DVDs really makes me feel tad bit nostalgic. Keep on pumping and posting John, we love you.
"I like feeling things"- John Flickinger 2021. And I'm guessing $20 for 3 tubs of DVDS. Also I bought Howard the Duck on 4K... What's the name of the store, I'd really love to visit it.
Bro…that old feature presentation thing just brought back so many memories. Thank you, John, for putting that in your video, You are a gentleman and a scholar.

You're still a kid tbh
@@lex_rodriguez kinda is but more mature
Well he’s a teenager or young adult
In the states that is , your a legal adult at 18
But obviously in reality it’s not the case
I’d say mid 20s your an adult
Shit im 30 and I don’t feel like one 😂
Whenever John teases the idea of selling his entire movie collection (including his blu rays) I have a mini heart attack. It's a miracle I'm still alive honestly.
A flicktrip, in the RAIN, STARTING OUT FROM THE ORIGINAL GARAGE. Tears in my eyes, man
I prefer the comfort of the room or wherever rather than green screen too. Disingenuous is not a bad adjective for it. Physical media or posters or what have you is a much more interesting stage, so to speak.
I was guessing $30-$50 for everything.
Don't apologize to anyone about living in so many places. Who cares.
That was my exact guess. 30 to 50
Man .. ive been watching your vids since 2015, and this one feels like growing up, and letting things go, particularly the iron sheets u used as background back in 2016 that you no longer need nowadays. Old times...
i cant believe ive been watching this channel for like 10 years
These types of videos never disappoint. They are just comforting.
Just in case everyone is not aware, there are a few organizations that will accept donations of DVD's for the military. They send them to troops that are deployed, or to Navy ships & Subs for example.
You know time has gone by when you can see johns grey hairs. Plus it was nice seeing a classic flick trip video
A new flick trip video gives me hope and cleanses my soul from the horrors of real life nonsense
Lol facts
Man I miss the flick trips. Still remember you going to pawn shops lol.
Over 300 for all of those DVDs? Holy shit that’s surprising. Awesome to see a flick trip again
Leyba in the house. Yeah I honestly figured like $50
Holy shnikeys he actually made money?
The best content on YT has returned
Truth
It's 2021 and we are getting a FlickTrip video 🙌🏻 my year is complete
I'm currently in the middle of moving house, so I completely get that "bogged down by your possessions" feeling. all mine fits in a box, easy.
Been rewatching your old vlogs recently! Hilarious content and you seem like a genuinely good dude.
Damn, seeing grey side hair on Flickter made me contemplate on the passing of time. Is it all coming to an end? Should I finally get scared now?
I bought Howard the Duck on 4K two weeks ago to upgrade my dvd of it and absolutely love it.
I'm an 80's baby so I grew up on cheesy movies and have a soft spot for Howard the Duck in particular.
Might have something to do with a crush I had on Leah Thompson.lol
I love how Boogie Nights was sitting right on top of The Little Mermaid. Two very similar movies
Welcome to Summit City John!
missed you john!! always appreciate the awesome content
Over $300? That's fucking insane. Most places would be under $100.
I dont think i can even sell any over here. They dont take dvds anymore.
I remember watching your videos in 2012. I was just 15. dude youre still my favorite UA-cam content creator. and youre getting old and so am i. 24 now going to be 25 in January. thanks John for the shit you do.
edit
gd John you have grey hairs now. hey man but aging like fine wine
I was on the shitter watching this… John would be proud.
Moving is better than not moving. New is always better. Take care.
Please bro PLEASE JOHN
Keep doing flick trips or videos because damn dude these were the best these take me back to the good ole days don’t get me wrong I like the lives but this is you bro this is perfect like it feels personal and it feels like damn dude much love John ur audience misses these truly
Omg I’m back on this channel after a couple of years .. gotta be one of my fave guys out there
Damn I was so confident in my guess of 43.20
I like a good room, variety is great. I compulsively downsize or rearrange, get feeling like my stuff becomes an extension of me, so I like getting rid of stuff.

Everytime I come back to check on this channel , you’re moving to a new spot 😂😂 love & peace John
After 7 LONG months we finally get a Flick Trip. Keep up the great content John. OR ELSE, jk.
I have another one coming next week!
I'm at the point in my movie collection life where the only DVDs I buy are either a) not available on Blu-Ray or b) cheap ones at re-sale shops that I haven't seen and want to see. That is so awesome that you also drive a Toyota C-HR!! This compact vehicle's advantage is how versatile it is for when moving boxes. 📦😃
the biggest mystery of john is the true reason he moved so many times.
I used to go by the (do i love it?) method… now since we live in crazy times and things get canceled and hidden away i use the (do i like it?) method. It helps to have a hard copy
I love your lively spirit, could watch you all day. Wish you the best in your new place, get settled and relax. see you next time.
It just feels right seeing John driving around Indiana again..
You sir...are a UA-cam gem. Thank you for the content all these years!
My Boy Johnny Flicks, I have to admit, I’m STUNNED you got that much for your DVD’s. I honestly though $50+$75. Well done sir, very well done‼️💪🏼💯✊🏼
My fav kind of videos. Love the flick trips. This felt like the good ol days!
332.00 holy shit blew my guess out of the water
That was an amazing return. I tried selling a bin of blu rays to half price books atleast 80 and they offered me $8 lol. As much as I wanted to get rid of them I was like yeah I’m not that dumb
Yeah, sell them at a flea market. You can get $4 each bluray.
It's always a crapshoot when you sell at Half Price Books. I've gotten less than $1 for when I've sold to them, and other times I've gotten $19.
That sounds about right :/ 😕
You spent more time on the advertisement than the actual flick trip. I never thought I’d unsubscribe from this channel but here we are.
The ad was 1 minute in a 11 minute video….
@@JohnFlickinger I was being hyperbolic, but you did film the majority of the video at your house lmao. Anyways, best of luck to your channel!
I still havent upgraded my kill bills still rockin tha dvds
I'll be honest, every time a see a house for sale in my neighborhood, I get the thought in my head that John is gonna scoop the house up.
Speaking of Batman , i always consider it to be more like Catman. It resembels more like a cat ears , maybe similar to Black Panther.
The suit is a combination of Black panther , Suit from Crysis and Iron Man .

When we are kids we imagine far more cool scenarios.
Glad you held onto Over The Top as your collecters item
Wow, my modest guess on how much you would get was like 60 bucks, nice take dude!
This video is the best thing that happened to me this week. Including my wife telling me she's pregnant
Damn, I guessed $37. That is a twist.
Went thru my shelf of dvds recently to see if anything stood out to watch… found my double feature of Problem Child 1 & 2!! Fun watch & brought back great memories of the 90’s 😊
Lol those movies are trash
I was waiting for “Over The Top” impression like the one you did yours ago..still that that was funny af! Yup I need to do the same with my dvds too.. great to see you back keep up the great work…

This is the beginning of the End you know that's true when John sells his physical media before you know it he will be selling his blu-rays
Wow...memory lane with some of these movie title mentions! Missed them good ol' days of Blockbuster on a Friday night.
I just did the math. During the last twenty years, I have averaged one move every 1.5 years.
So don't feel bad.
However, I must state that whereas moving feels cool when you're young, when you get into your late thirties every move begins to feel like a prolonged root canal.
John, you must’ve had a couple that were actually worth something, like one dvd was 40 bucks or something
When John posts in the morning... You know FOR SURE he was up all night.
I’m gonna guess it’ll cost $50! And that’s forgiving lol. Great video so far John, really miss these type of videos, grew up with them, I just turned 20 and these videos really make me feel nostalgic ❤️
Damn!! $332 is really good, I thought they were going to be unforgiving hahaha
Keen to see the Flick Cave evolve, thanks John! Long time viewer from Australia
I was guessing £5 which is like $10. That's insane. At CEX which is the UK trade-in store it's usually £0.01 per dvd. On average £1 for a blu-ray
A lot of Blus they only pay a penny for now. I used to go about every 6 months and would take 30ish Blus each time. $30 is my guess. Welcome back to Indiana! Great to have another movie UA-camr in Indiana especially since it's the Badass Flickster!
Surprised at how much they gave you and what they didn't take.
I packed up all my DVDs and put them in my folks basement for storage. Maybe 500 DVDs. Had already moved on to Blu-ray, and it was very unlikely that I would ever watch any of them again. Let’s gooo, loving all the uploads man
I'm dying of laughter at the amount of copies of DVDs they have
I have Over the Top on VHS among many others, never get rid of it
You should've asked the guy at the store if they had xXx on DVD
I feel like every time I check in to see what you're up to, you're moving... lol
I LOVE these videos where it's just you, in the moment, raw, fun. Do more of these!!!!
Dude! I miss this type of videos! If you can, please continue with them.
I still collect DVDs and I would LOVE to visit that shop 😩
Did he drop the name of the shop?
I will always remember the og flick cave the basement smelling like buttery goodness and protein with a little bit of Mountain Dew
Should of went to a flea market and sold them for a dollar a piece, works for me
Wow. I don't think I've seen so much physical media at a brick and mortar store in at least 10 years.
I guessed $300, Johnny boy! My man!!! I was close! Keep doing your thing, man! 🔥👊😀
Need a Flick Trip where you go out as a Nightcrawler for one night.
I'm actually surprised you managed to sell these since I know most people don't care about physical media anymore.
Selling Glenngarry Glen Ross when u dont have a backup…? Not a good move
I've been selling alot of my old DVD's lately, the place usually gives me $1 a DVD, but they wont take them if they already got the film in stock. Its crazy this place is still buying copies of Vantage Point? They never gonna get rid of those

I did it... I did it for "Over The Top" 💪
Great to see a flick trip back 🔥🔥🔥
John are you going to do a new top ten Horror movie list of what your watching this Halloween? one large pizza bbq wings 3 ice cubes no more no less...
Yes I own Over the Top. I just bought a bunch of Dvds today.
No John noooooooooo…my guess is probably about 20 bucks or so…holy crap 300 bucks!!!!!
John's slowly looking to look old in his recent vids.. and in this one we can see his gray hair. Yeah people grows older, but being a subscriber since 2014 and seeing him selling his DVDs really makes me feel tad bit nostalgic. Keep on pumping and posting John, we love you.
You got WAY more than I thought you would. I guessed it would've been like $30 at most lol
I found a bunch of old movies, some still in the wrapper, at an estate sale recently. They have been selling well on EBay!
"I like feeling things"- John Flickinger 2021. And I'm guessing $20 for 3 tubs of DVDS. Also I bought Howard the Duck on 4K... What's the name of the store, I'd really love to visit it.
Dropping vantage point and putting it on a different shelf, messed with my OCD 😮😭
Bro I go to that Mega Replay all the time 🤯🤯
I guessed that they were going to give you 50 bucks
