Every now and then these flick trips pop on my feed and it’s like seeing an old friend. Still remember the first flickpick video I ever watched about how world war Z was originally supposed to end.
That was over nine years ago. I’m entering my final term of college this fall. Appreciate all the content over the years man!

I went on a purge of my own collection recently. Felt good to get rid of all that clutter and I’ve sold about half of it so far. Didn’t get nearly as much as you but it was mostly 20+ year old DVDs that I was literally given for free so I consider it a win.
must be nice to get sent free copies from the studio's only to just trade them in later lol
If you put out quality content, you could do the same someday.

I was actually surprised at how much they offered for your movies. Based on my experiences with selling movies, my guess was in the low 50s or 60 range.
I’d watch this series of cleansing of movies. That was a decent haul. I guessed $120. Personally, I never thought I’d get much from selling old movies, so I just got large cd cases and threw away the covers and just stored the movies in there. A lot easier to move too, which is something to consider since you enjoy moving.
Oh yeah, please make a series out of this. Will be an interesting time capsule when stationary stores like Mega Replay are (sadly) long gone.

Hey John! Because of this video I decided to search for the closest Mega Replay store to me. Found one in Lima, Ohio. I live in Ohio 1h 20m away from the shop. Ended up getting 12 movies. Not all great movies 😅. I was overwhelmed by the selection. I'll be going back soon.

Excellent Video John! As someone that has a physical media collection, by the way I used the shelf from your Amazon profile, and while I do love collecting. I’d much keep movies I can rewatch a lot. I wish I had a Mega Replay here in Northern California. The closest thing I have is called The Cave. Thankfully they accept anything including garbage like Morbius. Can’t wait for more of these classics!

You should get a post it note and write Flick Pick on it and then stick it to one of the copies of XXX in the middle. You can go visit it every time you are there and see how long it lasts before it is gone. My guess is it would be there for eternity!
If you're serious about taking suggestions for the name of this series John, I suggest maybe either 'Cleaning House' or even better 'Collection Purge'

I took a bag of movies to this buy sell trade place and they wanted half the stack for $6. They told me dvds are selling better than blu rays. I couldn’t believe it
I wonder if a lot of people still only have a DVD player and never upgraded to a Blu Ray player.
@Steven Lee Most people just want to own a copy of the movie. Not overalls concerned about the pixel rate. And most physical media owners tend to be older so they don't like to waste money to buy a better version when the DVD is good enough.
@Steven Lee We're talking about mostly people in their 50s and 60s they just to see the movie. Physical media unless it's your favorite movies is a waste of money. People buy discs just to buy discs and then they sit on a shelf collecting dust.

Thats not bad, my local Disc Exchange only gives $1 for DVD's and $2/3 for Blu-Ray, but they super picky of what titles they buy. If they have one in stock, they usually don't make you an offer

My local 2nd & Charles had put on their social media pages that they will not accept any DVDs because they are just overwhelmed with DVDs and no one buying them. I think that since your movies look new to newish, I think you may get anywhere between $125-175 for them.!

HAHA love the movie purge flick trips to mega replay! mega replay/disc replays are adult candy stores for adults who love movies. those places are like Nirvana for me...i still look in DVD sections because you can find RARE/OOP movies you can't find on blu ray for dirt cheap!
Idea: call these videos: My Movie Purge: Volume " "...and you can do a skit or opener of you acting out, purging (like the Purge films) the one blu ray in that group by slitting it's metaphorical throat, the one that you want to get rid of the most. in this video, for example, it would be MORPHEUS lol

Not sure why you would purchase new 4K disc of a movie you weren't a fan of. Scream, Morbius on 4K probably cost $60.00 out of pocket the last few months and to come out with $150.00 in cash is a joke. The Star Wars Complete Saga Bluray box set you sped through can sell for $150.00 on its own.
Review copies are free. The Star Wars set sells for 8 dollars on eBay.

iv tried to sell my blu rays at a pawn shop and they only want 50 cents per movie and $1 for 4k, in total $40.00 i was upset but wanted to get rid of them
