    Ever have the issue with the edging wanting to drift or wonder up or down as you are feeding the stock?
    When I’m feeding my stock about half way through a piece the edging likes to either wonder up or down. Very frustrating

    Thanks for sharing, a festool edge trimer,the small one works really good,one pass and be done with the trimming then of course a bit of sanding,it's really expensive but it's a time saver,that's why it's so expensive I had to think about it a lot and tell my wife it was a good investment lol.... she had to see it. I did a whole frame less kitchen with it.have a nice day.

      Oh yes I love my Festools! I have had my eye on that setup for awhile too.

    Which edge band trimmer is that? Much better and faster than mine!

    How has this held up over the years

      Pretty good! It isn't faster than an iron for just a couple things but it you have a bunch to do it's nice. Good enough for a small shop. A dedicated table it could sit in would be ideal.

      Do you still have it?

      @@muzxmylife yes I do. I used it on a project not too long ago.

    will this work with fastedge?

    • @overanalyze4108
      @overanalyze4108  4 роки тому

      I don't think so. Fastedge is FastCaps edging with pressure sensitive glue...like peel and stick. This is for pre-glued edging.

    Awesome Andrew! Hat is pretty slick. Do you have hunk it'll hold up long term in the shop?

      Chris K I think it will be fine for the amount of edgebanding we do. it is really nice for making up melamine shelves. It heats the PVC banding a little quicker so you can move a little faster.

      Eggie Supriadi That was maple edgebanding. I have used pre-glued PVC with the machine. You just want to turn the temp down a bit.

    so you still have to use a chisel even after using the cutter

    • @overanalyze4108
      @overanalyze4108  7 років тому

      +MySchizo Buddy yes at least for the cutter I was using. I found it left just the slightest lip. A quick pass with a sharp chisel was quicker than sanding it off. A better quality cutter or a router setup with a flush bit might work better. All in all it was still a pretty quick process.
