Just a quick tip for people who also dislike having to press so hard for the tablet to recognize full pressure: you can calibrate that in the driver by shortening the line with the three red dots: move the last (third) dot to the left until it's at the half-way point and then move the second dot so that you'll have a more or less straight line again. This will reduce your overall pressure sensitivity gradation to "only" over 4000 grades instead of over 8000, but for me as a girl who doesn't like to press so hard it's perfect this way. Experiment to see what you like best.
Sorry, could you explain it again, i didnt get what i need to do. Im only new with the tablet and i realize i press to hard. Its a nasty habit cuz my hand starts hurting 😭
@@ioshkatabrat5891 Sure, no problem. Go to your XP-Pen driver software and take a look under "Click Sensitivity" where you have a graph that says Output on the left and Pressure underneath. You want full output, but only half the pressure. So, drag the little red dots so that it looks more like this: digitalarttabletguides.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/19-drivers.png
As an FYI for those who care: from my research, this tablet also seems to work well in Linux with all the normal set-up procedures (I don't have the tablet in hand to test, unfortunately). XP-Pen also seems to have a native Linux driver (unusual for tablets in my experience), so I should expect that this tablet will work great on Linux.

Yep! Support for Linux-based desktop OSes is one thing I like about Ugee, XP-Pen, and Xencelabs pen tablets and displays. I mean, as far as I know, Wacom One/Intuos/Cintiq seem to have partial support on desktop Linux. I had tried using a basic Wacom Intuos (2015 model) on Debian 9 (before I bought my XP-Pen Artist 13.3 Pro) and found the shortcut keys to not work correctly, but it probably had been fixed by now.

@Gym Knopf Hey there! Yes you need it to be hooked to a computer as it acts like a second monitor. It comes with a little card with the website to download the drivers it needs to work! It's a very nice beginner and professional tablet.
This is the best review of this tablet that I've seen yet. A weird issue I have is that the buttons don't really map well in Photoshop. For example sometimes the undo or PS Step Backwards button will go back multiple steps...other times it will only go one step back. I don't understand why...
Thats a great review that mentioned many things that are overlooked by other reviewers. thank you, I am recieving mine tommorow, and might need to rewatch this again when I do :)

I purchased this. My experience is this: • I did not initially realize that the HDMI cable was in the wrong slot. If you have a graphics card, it needs to go into that one. Mine has a small plastic piece I had to remove with pliers to allow me to insert it. It was removed very easily. • One of my USB slots doesn't work. I tried a different one. It worked. • Setting the display settings to "Duplicate" is key. From this point on, everything else was simple. It works. It's bright. It's pretty. I am putting what I feel like is too much pressure for a screen (which I naturally am delicate with) yet the pen pressure is only registering about 1/4 of what it's capable of. That means you apparently can press REALLY hard down for the full effect. I do not have to press down that hard to get a line though. It's only for I guess if you want to transition from a larger stroke to a smaller one. From my perspective, this product works right out of the box. I am happy with it. I also think it's nice that the "K8" button is what you use to cycle between the scroller circle functions to zoom or do brush size. It tells you on the display what you are selecting. Everything seems very straight-foreword and easy to use.
Just got my Pro and this was helpful for the understanding what was going on with the pen set up. Also, FYI, GIMP (ver. 2.10.6) did not work well. There was about a 2 -inch offset/parallax. It wasn't there at first, but showed up later while I was 'playing around'. Uninstalled everything, then re-installed= same. Googled & found it is a problem with some people that is not always reproducible. Using Krita now until I'm out of the beginner phase...if ever.

It’s been 5 years but worth a shot. I just got this tablet and for some reason after plugging in everything, it says no signal, I downloaded what was off the website but when I downloaded it, it downloaded the xppen setup and not the driver.
Could be that the hdmi/usb cable connected to the pc is broken. Or, in my case, the usb extender. Contact the company for help or eventually a replacement. Good luck
You can adjust the pen pressure on the settings. It sounds weird that you have to press that hard to see the lines. I have the non-pro version of it and in contrast to a Wacom, I need to put more pressure but not than much more.
The tapering issue and high activation force is the biggest con of this tablet, maybe on the next revision they will fix those issue or maybe a firmware update can fix.
Do I need to have the HDMI and the USB connection plugged directly into the monitor? I have both plugged into the tower and I am getting no signal. still working as a normal non-display tablet but no display connection. My PC monitor only has 1 HDMI imput, 1 VGA and no USB outlets.
@@wow-cy4lr I figured it out for me at least. 1 of my HDMI ports isnt connected to my video card. I used the other port on the back of my tower and it worked. So I guess make sure you try all HDMI ports on your tower.
Amazing review, I’ve never tested one of these monitors before, and this provided answers to most of my questions, however I would like to ask a few things, can I use this tablet as a single monitor without having another screen connected to my computer? Also will my movements when using the mouse show up on the monitor itself? Thank you to whoever provides some enlightenment to my questions!

My calibration option doesnt quite work. I have 2 other monitors that are extended through windows settings. Any time I open the pen calibration window, whether tablet or main monitor, all screens go white and only one arrow appears. After barely clicking the first arrow, all screens show white and no second arrow appears. Think I won't calibrate it. Any fixes?
I'm guessing so far, that it utilizes monitor 1 to extend. My main monitor is registered as monitor 2. It thinks that my monitor that is registered as 1 is my main monitor
Not a problem anymore, but now I have problems: 1. Can't uninstall old wacom driver 2. It just doesen't recognise it in the monitor settings thingy. edit: 3. no signal, but it has blue light edit2: 4. it thinks that my main monitor is the tablet, and does the calibrate thing on my monitor. edit3: 5. it recognises it as a keyboard/mouse ftw I'm so done.
Quick question, I have the XP Deco 2 tablet and I was wondering how to increase the speed of the cursor. It feels too slow. I tried adjusting the mouse sensitivity but that didn't help. Thanks!

It’s been 5 years but worth a shot. I just got this tablet and for some reason after plugging in everything, it says no signal, I downloaded what was off the website but when I downloaded it, it downloaded the xppen setup and not the driver.
Thank you for your video 🤗
Help, my tablet stays in a "no signal, power saving mode" loop
Yes, I checked the cables but there is no change.
bruh same..
Same problem, have you been able to figure it out?
@@luxraythelight2371 nope sadly
Could be that the hdmi/usb cable connected to the pc is broken. Or, in my case, the usb extender. Contact the company for help or eventually a replacement. Good luck
Really helpful! Thank you!!
I'm going to buy a graphic tablet and maybe with screen, so, this review is very useful. Thanks for sharing !
You can adjust the pen pressure on the settings. It sounds weird that you have to press that hard to see the lines. I have the non-pro version of it and in contrast to a Wacom, I need to put more pressure but not than much more.
Thanks for the directions. I m having issue to display a white page on the tablet, where is the CALIBRATE BUTTON, PLEASE?
my 15.6 in pro tablet is great, but the colors are a little warm compared to my monitors. how can i get them to get closer?
The tapering issue and high activation force is the biggest con of this tablet, maybe on the next revision they will fix those issue or maybe a firmware update can fix.
Do I need to have the HDMI and the USB connection plugged directly into the monitor? I have both plugged into the tower and I am getting no signal. still working as a normal non-display tablet but no display connection. My PC monitor only has 1 HDMI imput, 1 VGA and no USB outlets.
Johnny Del Valle i’m having the same problem and idk what to do
@@wow-cy4lr I figured it out for me at least.
Yes. It literally just a monitor where you can draw on it.
7:08 do you have a tutorial anywhere for your Photoshop brushes. They look so nice mine never turn out like that
I feel silly for not figuring it out but thanks for demonstrating how to use the international plug adapters.
U need more SUBS. Not even joking u deserve more, Your also my favourite youtube so thanks for posting.
this helped me so much! i couldnt find how to put the european power adapter on!

Are there any free programs you suggest for the artist 15.6?
Do I have to connect my graphics tab to PC Everytime I draw?I am a complete rooky in this matter..I am considering buying this
Thank you so much this video is a godsend! I have a question, your XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro came with the adapter cable for Mac? The tablet I bought online did not include it, I am so confused if this is an error or if they stopped including the Mac adapter.
Thank you so much!! Just got the gf a tablet and was just trying to help her set it up. Do you have any recommendations on either cheap or free drawing softwares for beginners?
help! I can't use the express keys on artist 15.6. why?? when i push on button it says example ''Zoom in+'', but why isn't it zooming in? I use krita and other program but the express keys don't react when i use. :'( even the rotate button not working ,,. i am using macbook pro
You have to change them with every program u use, it is not automatic like wacom
I want that bad, saving up for it.
Calibration still doesn't work just for tablet. Hopefully a future update fixes it
Sweet thanks
At 8:07, what software or program were you using, and how did you download it??? Or the 8:39 one? Please tell me 😅
Bought it, and I finally got to unbox it. Only problem is, my cables are no where near long enough to actually connect to my PC.
R.I.P
Not a problem anymore, but now I have problems:
1. Can't uninstall old wacom driver
2. It just doesen't recognise it in the monitor settings thingy.
edit: 3. no signal, but it has blue light
edit2: 4. it thinks that my main monitor is the tablet, and does the calibrate thing on my monitor.
edit3: 5. it recognises it as a keyboard/mouse ftw
I'm so done.
@@Zorutan hope u fixed ur problem
@@pogdan7966 Got it fixed like, the day after I wrote that comment. Progressed one heck of a lot since then (in art)

I'm subscribing to your channel just because for your voice 😊
Good review, I like my Huion KAMVAS PRO 13 13.3 inch more by the looks of this though.
Can you use the tablet without a PC subsequently after doing the necessary installation?
No
Quick question, I have the XP Deco 2 tablet and I was wondering how to increase the speed of the cursor. It feels too slow. I tried adjusting the mouse sensitivity but that didn't help. Thanks!
Hi, we recommend you to email to service@xp-pen.com with more info about your question. Thus, we could know it clearly and assist you better. :)

Hello I’m planning to buy a xp pen but I have no Idea with it, I have some questions if you can answer them thanks a lot!
1. From what I’ve seen it connects to the laptop?
2.does it need an laptop
3. Do you buy it from an website or you can buy it from any device shop?
4. Could you give me tip of nots and dos?
5. Which should I get from your experience 15.6 pro or 16 pro?
Thank you if you answered!!!!
I have to return it because of the fact that it needs a computer constantly and my computer is not mobile and can’t be brought places
Did you get a light brown vignette around the display of the artist? I got mine 😔😔
What type of pc do you use? I'm trying to get into doing animation on graphics tablets and have no idea what type of pc I should get, even though I've seen so many videos on it.😅
I have to give credit to Xp-Pen for their driver support to Linux. In fact this tablet is now supported on Linux.
This was a lifesaver than k u
3:56 Why USB AND HDMI have to connect?? My computer has no HDMI connection only USB

It's a shame that they don't have an arazer because the XP-Pen Deco 2 has one and I really love it.
