Exactly what I was looking for, super helpful. Thank you.
This is wonderful. Super clear and straight to the point. Awesome!
I just made one of your slings.
Works good on the long pull . It is a little finicky on the short pull . Overall I give it a 9.
It was a easy , inexpensive project . Just the way I like it.
Thank you.
Looks super simple and effective. Nice job
VERY CLEAN AND MINIMALIST!!!
Finally, i came across the video i've been looking for. Thanks Thrifty Operator!
I have an updated sling video. It is a little better. You should check it out too.
My god man, thank you so much. I have been searching for over an hour for a video like this. Thank you.
I have an newer sling video too
Thank you, this is exactly what I looking for
Wow! "Thrifty" is right! I just watched about five DIY videos for AR slings - yours must cost less than 1/2 what the next least expensive one did. Well done!
See the Tactical Monkey one?
I just wanted to say a huge thank you! This is probably the first DIY mod on my hunting carbine that is beyond all expectation. I've now got an adjustable hasty sling, the ability to tension up when carrying on my pack, and even enough slack to carry it safari style if I want. Really really awesome video 😀
I’m glad you enjoyed it. I made an updated one recently. You could check that one out too
Simple and practical. Great work. Greetings from Uruguay!
Super helpful 🙌🏼. Thank you!
I watched some of your other videos and they are excellent too. I enjoyed the diy respirator one a lot. I am happy to subscribe.👍😎
I’m glad you enjoyed them but remember the the diy respirator was just for fun. The link to Mira safety’s website was under the video. Check them out they are fairly affordable
Awesome! Thanks much.
Thanks. I have an updated sling video also. You should check it out too if you enjoyed this one.
It's amazing bro
bro thank u, i suck at stitching though lol. mad props to u. i need an easy sewing machine for dummies. Time to go next door and butter up my neighbor, I know she has a sewing machine lol. I dont wanna take any chances as a nub and have my AR fall off my damn shoulder while trekking or running through the woods and it would be my luck that would happen if i tried. I will leave that part to the pros (next door lol) Thx though, bad ass vid
Will you try out my version of sling it can be used in 1,2,3 point you can upgrade it too
Thanks nice video
awesome video... the rear fixed stock strap assembly for what your advice? for 12 cal. pump action shotgun...
You could drill into the stock and add a sling attachment point or you could wrap the sling around the narrow part of the stock behind where you grip it
@@thriftyoperator637 thanx...
Very good, however is it possible to make the loop handle smaller or would that interfere with its function?
Yeah that should be fine
This maybe late, but making it too small makes it hard to see depending on your machine.
Hmm yeah blue force gear or magpul slings are $40-60. I think I went to my gun store and saw one even more expensive because I think it was a independent company. Kinda wondering what parts are on your AR15 though there are some $400 builds on youtube already.
I found that QD is noisy...even little cling cling gives your position away in hunting and all situation. 1.5" nylon webbing, webbing sliders (plastic) and some paracord do just fine. Its how you attach to your gun so it make a smooth transition up the shoulder. Thanks for sharing your idea.
thanks
I've made a couple of these and found that I can adjust it longer but shortening the sling while on you is virtually impossible. Maybe my triglides are too grippy, or the polypropylene webbing is too textured.
Yeah it’s always easier loosening than tightening. My new sling design is better though. You should check out that video too.
Can I use staples?
Can't believe I didn't do this first. Done wasting 80 bucks on a blue force
I made an updated video a couple months ago. Take a look on my channel
What grip and buttstock is that? I love that color scheme
Just the stock one spray painted
@@thriftyoperator637 how u make the color scheme?
Paint it one color then lay a laundry bag over it a spray on the second color.
@@thriftyoperator637You in the 🅱️ainting FB group?
@@CarlPapa88 no, I don’t really use Facebook
Awesome
Can you do this on a 1 point?
I’m not a fan of single point slings so I probably won’t make a video on it. But a single isn’t much different than this. I’m sure you can figure it out
K thanks man
no sound
Seeing how easy this is makes me feel SO! stupid for paying 70 dollars for a magpul sling.
Same.
Nobody can see what you are doing. Black buckle. Black webbing. No contrast. No detail. Shoot another video showing how you sewed it or re-upload this one
Recommendations on sewing machine?
I’m probably not the best guy to ask because I have only used a few. The singer heavy duty series looks like a good value.
