Weird, they did a 3D scan of my mouth to make mine. No plasture or any of that stuff. They just stuck this weird thing in my mouth and moved it around and on the computer I could see the scan of my mouth. They They just sent the scan somewhere and they made the retainer.
So much easier than having to have the mold done 5 times because you couldn't open your tiny mouth wide enough for them to get all of the disgusting mold thingy that went down your throat onto your back teeth

I really want a retainer because I could make it into a thing to make it easier to floss (put strings between the teeth spots and then move it in the way I nerd to to floss properly) which would make it do-able to floss for me but I dont think my dental insurance would cover it for that
how long will it take to get my retainer after I get my braces off? my friend had to wait 3 weeks. I don't want my teeth to move before I get my retainer

It’s called “gagging reflex” it’s genetics. But if you practice that is a chance that you would get used to it

Funfact: there are two ways to have retainers made, 1 being the molding, and 2 being a 3D scan.
A 3D scan must be much more expensive
My sister had to do the molding and she said it was really scary and uncomfortable, I’m so glad that I got to do the 3d scan
