- Directions: Mix 1 cup of distilled white vinegar to 3 cups of water. Soak fruit for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove fruit from water and vinegar solution and rinse off with tap water to eliminate any vinegar taste that may be left over from the solution. Place fruit on a towel or paper towel to dry for another 3 to 5 minutes. Once fruit as pretty well dried place in a clean storage container lined with a paper towel and place in the refrigerator. It is not necessary to cover the container with a lid. ENJOY!

You gave me exactly the info I was looking for-how dilute and how long to be effective. Vinegar does not neutralize pesticides. Baking soda does.
