It must have taken several months to put your wonderful display together. I started collecting small pieces to put together a small town myself. How ever you must have thousands of pieces . What a wonderful art putting all of this together. Thank you for sharing.
John Fields Thank you for your kind words. I just try to keep learning and do better next year, one year at a time. It takes 3 weeks to setup, 2 weeks to tear it down. The planning goes on all year.
Jim, your Christmas village is AMAZING!!! I have never seen a village like this and no word is sufficient to describe its beauty! In my opinion it is the best in the world! Also the music you chose is perfect. I watched the video several times and it inspired me to arrange the little houses in my village. Of course it does not compare to yours: I started collecting Lemax lighted buildings in November 2015 and now have 11 houses, 2 table accents, 42 trees and several figurines. I am just a beginner, but I hope it becomes large over the years... Thank you for sharing your masterpiece! I wish you and your family all the best for the new year 2017! Greetings from Italy, Elena
ev030605mp Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I don't know about "best in the world" because I have video villagers who I admire greatly for their creativity & skill. Just make each small vignette as interesting as you can & soon there are several all together. I hope your Christmas was joyful!
Hi, just saying hello from Canada! Lots of forest fires this year and we've been surrounded by smoke all summer. ( hoping August is better!) I'm looking at christmas villages to cool off lol I love your scenes!! I think yours are my favorites!!
Waoooooo.....I Don't Know What to say......I want to take the exactly words to say about this Job....It's spectacular.....Awesome!!!! This is a phenomenal Creation!!!! What Imagination!!!! Thanks For Sharing....Merry Christmas!!!!
I appreciate your kind words and am glad that you liked it. You're a true Christmas lady. I think our houses are much alike. My wife decorates 20 trees! I got into villages because it's either resist or join, and "resistance is futile." Merry Christmas to you & your family!
MASTERPIECE! Claire's village is AMAZING. I especially like the ball park, driving range, parking garage and aquarium. The black motorized road way, Lemax painted? Also the van and car that run on the track are superb. Many details. And the baby is beautiful, not sure if that's your child or grandchild, but a real beauty. God Bless you and your family, wishing you a Merry Christmas and healthy New Year.
Pammyj, you are too kind. The ball park is four Hawthorne Village Yankee Stadiums combined with a Coca Cola Sports Stadium and the new Lemax Field Lights. When I saw that the stadiumpieces were pie-shaped, a full stadium was the natural progression. It only took two years to accumulate at decent prices. I had to paint the seats red (mutilation learned courtesy of a certain village master). The driving range is a facsimile of where I work, and was in last year's village. The parking garage is an HO-scale piece, which HAD to go with the casino since casinos are mostly parking garage from the outside view. The cars and track are Bachmann/Lionel EZ Street/Superstreet, almost model railroad stuff. I've graduated from the Classic Car Set -- time to sell the rest of my roadway and cars, or maybe keep a little for another section. Those are grandbabies in the early photo, our joy. Blessings to you & your family, and thank you for watching!
Thanks and I will be posting. Village is complete and I know exactly how I want to film/edit (I think). Now I just need to muster the time ...and energy!
Thank you for watching! It takes about 3 weeks to set up & about 2 weeks to put it away. The fun is watching all the folks that come through the house tour. Merry Christmas to you & your family!
Jim, Clairs Village is again Spectacular! Your village has a contemporary and old school look. A good blend with so many details. Your music is filled with Christmas Love and keeps with the style you present each year. Needless to say I have "Liked" it. I know you are going to have to slow your roll because you have so much to store. But the fun is the putting it all out there in the creation and the thrill of finding new items. Thanks for sharing the 2016 verson of Clairs Village.
Thanks, Pete, for watching and your nice comments. I'm hoping to serious cull the herd this year and sell off lots of buildings and accessories. Have a Merry Christmas!
Wow puts mine to shame lol you have so much. Looks amazing. Never seen that aquarium before, looks great. Great details and loving all the bridges and sports stuff. Well done
Thanks for watching. I wanted to do a water aquarium this year, but pushed it back to next year when I will bring out the zoo again. I don't have have any live fish -- I have a different idea -- but I loved how yours looked. Hope you don't mine if I borrow from you.
Jim all I can say is it's better than ever!! Your pieces are unique...there are no words any better than all that have been used in your comments...it's very impressive!! Thank you for sharing ..I can't even imagine doing all those little accents you have...once again no words!!
Thomas Ferguson Sr Lemax has made several Afro-American figures over the years. I slowly stockpiled them as they became available on eBay. My 'hood characters are Homies, children's figurines. They are 2-inch figures you can find on eBay. They come as Afro & Latino characters. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the feedback. I have some of the "Homies" with their classic cars (another passion). I will keep an eye out for them on ebay. We are currently combining my wife's village with my trains so it's not an "A-list item as of yet.
Taking a second look this morning while drinking my wake up coffee. Such a great job. I hope to do a video this year. My computer crashed in the middle of Dec last year and didn't get to release mine. I do have some pics on UA-cam if interested.
It's 18 tables 2' x 4' plus a 2.5' x 8' table. That's 164 square feet. It's 24-1/2 feet long by 10 feet at its widest point. We have a large open 3rd floor. Thanks for watching!

The cars and track are Bachmann EZ Street and Lionel Superstreet, almost model railroad stuff running off a transformer. Bachmann took over the Lionel moving automobile line, and they are interchangeable. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it!
WOW! I am so super impressed with your village. I have started about roughly 20 years ago. I didn't really start adding this this past year. I have some questions, if you don't mind. 1) What made you decide on the Newport/Cincinnati idea for this? 2) I am looking for unique pieces like your WalMart, AMC, Newport Aquarium, etc. Where did you find these? 3) Your streets are very realistic. Where did you get these? 4) Where did you get your bridges? My pieces are mostly Lemax, but I decided that I want to expand and really add more name of companies into my collection.
Thanks, Amy. My 2013 village was also a representation of Newport/Cincinnati, so I kept finding buildings that resembled real ones and places (like our picnic park & dog park) to create models. My 5-yr old granddaughter was able to recognize the all landmarks, so I guess I can claim success. That's the answer to #1. 2) The Walmart is two fiber optic Walmart Superstores side-by-side to make one big store. Walmart makes a brand called Holiday Time (they used to be Dept 18), and that store is listed on eBay probably 8 months out of 12. Many times I've created a large building by finding two identical buildings that can go closely side-by-side. The AMC is a St. Nicholas Square (Kohl's) Main Street Movie Theatre that I glued an AMC posterboard sign onto. I googled AMC logo images, and color-printed one & pasted it onto posterboard to make a sign. The Newport Aquarium is a Lionel Aquarium model railroad piece, with another posterboard sign on top. It needs a small model railroad transformer (easy to hook up) to run the moving fish. 3) The streets are Bachmann EZ-Streets or Lionel K-Line Superstreets, which thankfully are fully compatible. The street & cars are model railroad items, and come with a small transformer. I used to use Lemax Classic Cars, but it seemed like a car always stopped where I couldn't reach it. 4) The bridges are an old Lionel metal bridge I painted white, a set of Lionel plastic short extension bridges painted purple, and a Dept 56 Golden Gate Bridge I bought online in a very broken state and glued together enough to paint it to look like our Roebling Suspension bridge. I put Lemax light strings on it, too. If you buy stuff cheap enough, you can modify it (paint, mutilate, glue things on it) to make what lives in your imagination.
Thank you for watching! Yes to your question, I have 3 of them, and they are some of the most beautiful buildings made. They just didn't look like they belonged in this year's village scheme.
Those are 2 Lemax Millenium Fireworks & Trees #94424, issued 1999. They are 10" wide & 15" high, and make a fireworks noise with a volume control. You will see them occasionally on eBay.
This is so cool, Jim! You did a great job. What is your car/road system? I love the way it adds motion to the village without looking too new. Thanks for posting video. -John
The cars and track are Bachmann EZ Street and Lionel Superstreet, almost model railroad stuff running off a transformer. Bachmann took over the Lionel moving automobile line, and they are interchangeable. Thanks for watching and your kind comments. Merry Christmas!
Can you tell me if the street layout you have is very difficult to put together? Does it just clip together and do you have to hook up a lot of wires to make it go? Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I love your village I have been collecting since 1990 but I have very little movement and I really don't want a big train track system so this looks ideal. Unless you would be willing to sell me your lemax road system because that looks just right for me but I can't find it anywhere, Thanks for all your help.
I'm not a train person either. Look on eBay for Bachmann EZ Streets, Lionel Superstreets and K-Line Superstreets. They are all compatible track pieces. A starter set includes a loop and one car, and costs less than the rare Lemax Classic Car set and without the problems of dead batteries and cars sticking on the tight turns. The starter set includes a transformer and two wires hook to the track -- that's it. Each piece of track clips together. Plus, you can control the speed of the car(s). Extra track doesn't cost much. An extra car or van seems to run $50 to 80$ each, closer to $50 if you're patient on eBay. I sold my Lemax Classic Car set last year, although I kept some extra track and a car or two. Much of the track I sawed to split the roadway for more flexibility and crossing bridges.
OMG, I LOVE IT!!!! I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. 1. Your stadium bleachers, did you make them, or who sells those? 2. Where'd you find the soda machine? 3. Your Macy's bldg, who makes that please? I love the feather tree. Your village is soooo awesome! You were being kind when you said mine was nice. Thank you, but I have a lot of shopping to do. The (7) Beekman/Pickford's are what's up and the brownstones are wonderful. I can't say enough times how I love your Village!!! Jim, do you belong to the Dept56 Village group on facebook? I'd love to share your video there.
1. The ball park is four Hawthorne Village Yankee Stadiums combined side-to-side with a Coca Cola Sports Stadium facade and the new Lemax Field Lights. When I saw that the stadium pieces were pie-shaped, a full stadium was the natural progression. It only took two years to accumulate at decent prices. I painted the seats red. 2. The soda machine is part of Lemax #32141 "Can I Buy You a Soda." 3. The Macy's is a Hawthorne Village piece, New York City series. Thank you for noticing the 7 Beekman/Pickfords. I also strung three 64 City Parkway Wests side to side, and they make a nice townhouse row, too. I have 3 Mulberries (didn't make the cut this year) I've used in different formations, but your 5 Mulberries (one of them pink chic) is a cake topper! I do belong to that Facebook group. One of our local club's officers signed me up. Please feel free to share the video. Thanks for watching!

Amy Chapman Look for the eBay seller name jpetersgolfpro10, and you should see my "store." Right now I have most of my Victorian figurines for sale & a few buildings. Later this month I will add many more listings, after the seasonal craziness slows down. In the spring after the village deconstruction I'm selling the whole lot of log cabins, Retroville buildings, & anything else I can find from the basement.
Absolutely stunning village!! Great job this year. Please consider entering a video in our Lemax Holiday Video Contest at www.lemaxcollection.com/contest Thank you for being a Lemax Fan!
Thank you for the nice compliments. I can barely get an intro done in less that one minute (your contest's max length), so I'll respectfully pass on the contest offer. Merry Christmas!

My son moved in with his sister and hubby declared his old room as The Christmas Room so I can leave it up all year - but I keep rearranging it lol

Wow, very nice Christmas city. Merry Christmas greetings from Germany!
Thank you for watching, and Merry Christmas!
Very impressive. A lot of time and expense there. I wish I had the room. As it is I can only use about 30% of what I have.
Thank you for watching! It takes about 3 weeks to set up & about 2 weeks to put it away. The fun is watching all the folks that come through the house tour. Merry Christmas to you & your family!

Great job on this! Amazing game variety. What is the aquarium building featured around 13:40?
Thanks! The aquarium is a Lionel aquarium that runs off transformer power.
awesome setup! Where did you get the car track and whats the bran? Thanks!!!

thanks! ur village is awesome! we started 3 yrs ago n I love it just slit if money but we just live it so we buy stuff ever year!!@
Hi Jim, another awesome display. Where do you get the people figurines besides lemax and dept 56
St. Nicholas Square (Kohl's), LarryGScale (slightly larger), Lil Homies (smaller).
Thank you, having a heck of a time finding your store
@@ceeceecurrie4875 On eBay, look for seller name jpetersgolfpro10.
I put Lemax light strings on it, too.
If you buy stuff cheap enough, you can modify it (paint, mutilate, glue things on it) to make what lives in your imagination.
That is amazing. Thank you
Love it, just WOW!,...One question do you have The "MULBERRIE COURT" BROWNSTONES?
Thank you for watching! Yes to your question, I have 3 of them, and they are some of the most beautiful buildings made. They just didn't look like they belonged in this year's village scheme.
where can i get the fireworks in the back not the digital square one but the round one, i do have the D56 ones...who makes them? thank you.
-John

Who makes the Macy's Store
Hawthorne Village is the brand. Kind of hard to find even on eBay.
Can I have your eBay direct link please? I can't seem search sellers individually.
