- Epic Christmas Village IV display features Department 56 Original Snow Village, Christmas in the City, Dickens Village, Season's Bay and Lemax Christmas Village buildings and animated accessories. The Lionel Visionline Grand Central Terminal is also featured, as well as diecast figures from William Britains, King and Country and CBG Mignot. The trains are the Scale Lionel Polar Express, the Lionel Blue Comet and the Lionel Special Edition Department 56 train. The Subway trains are the O scale Lionel NYC Transit Authority R30 Subway, the Lionel NYC Transit Authority R27 Subway and the MTH Metropolitan Transportation (World's Fair) R36 Subway. The video was shot with the Sony HDR-AX2000 and the Iphone 4S.
Music: "Believe" by Josh Groban, from To The Polar Express, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Michael Buble and "The Christmas Waltz" by Christopher McDonald/Stephen Trio Kummer. Please support the original artists by purchasing their original content in stores and online.

This guy’s village is what I’d call a city. This Christmas city is huge and has so many details to the trains. Amazing work setting this all up
There's a lot of neat stuff in this but my favorite is the fact that in his Christmas Village he has people looking at smaller Christmas villages.
I've watched this for years during the holiday season, and it's always a joy. I have O gauge trains, and my wife and I both enjoy collecting and displaying Dept 56 and Lemax items. Though we have no where near this many houses, it's fun to look through the video to try and spot something we do have. Have a Merry Christmas!

The setup is great, replicas of Grand Central Terminal, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, Ralphy’s House from a Christmas Story, replicas of the various cars, trucks ranging from the late 1930’s to the mid 1950’s. The trains both the Polar Express & the freight train as well as the passenger train in Blue & white cars which is my guess the Blue Comet that ran between the New York City area & Atlantic City in the 1920’s & early 1930’s.

Please, upload the 18 minute version! I would LOVE to see it, every little detail, nook, cranny, and piece you took so much care to build! This is a joy to watch, but went by much too quickly for me. I wanted to see more of your gondola and skiers, and a little slower pan across your buildings. I couldn't soak it in fast enough! I will be watching this (just like your others) many times. This was worth the wait! Thanks for sharing. I love visiting your world; fills me with the wonder and joy I felt as a little girl at Christmas. Every year, we went to a Christmas store in Austin that opened up only for the holidays. They had winter scenes with moving elves and deer (like you used to see in the mall), a train that ran the perimeter of the store, and a beautiful grand "dollhouse" whose chandeliers lit up and the little figures danced. It was pure magic. Your videos fill me with that magical feeling all over again, and it is a blessing. Thank you!
Oh yeah, on the 18 minute version, sorry to say that it's all on the "Cutting Room Floor". I will make a note for next year however, because I think you are absolutely correct on the full showing and especially slowing down the pan across the buildings. That was an especially difficult edit because I sped up that shot to balance the time/length. I think it was probably better left as originally shot. You've got a good eye! Thanks again.

Not only are your villages amazing and beautifully detailed, but I love that you also produce such a high quality video that shows all the details and gives your eye enough time to take it all in. My pleasure. For whatever reason, Epic Christmas Village 1-3 can only be viewed on a computer. They can't be played on an IPad. I think it has something to do with limitations on the music rights but I'm not really sure.
I never get tired of watching you IV Village - it is AWSOME- I know mine will never come close, but I still love and enjoy it (and the building processing)

AWESOME! This by far is the BEST village I have ever seen and the best video produced on UA-cam of a Christmas Village. Your attention to detail is remarkable. My favorite was Chinatown....it's so realistic looking. Thanks for sharing your creation with us. I set up three smaller villages in my home every year. Wish I had a large basement to put a display like you have. Can't wait to see this year's video.
Thank you James. You should consider making a video of your three villages. I think that would be really interesting to see. I have considered splitting mine into smaller villages so that I could highlight different themes. I'm just not sure of the best way to break it down. Good luck with your display.

So beautiful and sentimental is made me shed tears. It doesn't matter what year this was made, the video and village are so well done it is truly EPIC and timeless! So much detail, thought and work has gone into this I'm amazed. Not only that, but the filming was also professional. It was like watching a movie ( I watched all of the Epic Christmas Village videos ). I thank you for this special gift to the world! Please...never take these videos off of youtube. Not ever! That would be the smart and logical thing to do, but I've been told that those words don't seem to apply to me when it comes to Christmas Village building. Honestly, my favorite part is creating the Village. That's why I like to start from scratch every year. It's completely inefficient, but it works for me.
TheBigCrabCake can u tell me the scale of depart 56 vehicles..I am in Australia and have to buy from ebay and run everything thro stepdown transformer which is a major pain and expensive. Thought i could collect ordinary toy cars here and save myself a fortune
geri G That's a great idea. I have found that there is an enormous number of die-cast cars available that look great in a Christmas Village. A majority of the vehicles in Epic Christmas Village IV are ordinary toy cars. It is a huge savings and gives me a lot of choices. Department 56 doesn't publish an official scale but I have found that 1:32 scale works very well with the Snow Village collection and with most of the Christmas in the City collection. For the Dickens Village collection 1:43 scale is probably a good bet. Unfortunately, scale is not always consistent from one company to the next. Once you find a car that seems to fit well, I recommend sticking with that manufacturer for your other cars that you might use in the same group or area of the village. I've had good luck with the 1:32 scale vehicles from the "Signature Models Unlimited" company.

Elena, You can usually find them on Ebay. Search "Tour de France Figures" and make sure you are searching Worldwide. Most of the cyclist figures are Game Pieces for a french board game.
Thanks Kaiya. You are correct. That is the K&C Bird Shop facade to the left of Jade Palace. The figure on the balcony is not part of the Bird Shop, but it is also from the K&C Imperial China collection.
Hi TBCC, I appreciate your out-of-the box ideas for village videos. Just watched Epic 1 through IV to spark ideas for my video this year. Every Christmas season we pile the neighbors in the car & go look at the local outdoor light displays which get more sophisticated every year. I was wondering when someone was going to marry light show technology with a miniature Christmas village, and here it is -- Christmas Village Fantasy 2013 Christmas Village Fantasy.
