The people who did all of this to their home to make it fit their personalities I just absolutely love it!! They would have had to spend money and time on these projects and its so cool and different. I hope they are still expressing their fun artistic sides wherever they are today!!! I know a lot of us probably would not want this in our homes but I'm seriously just appreciating everything they did to their home. I bet they just loved it!! @@lauraaustin3250 agree the previous owners spent time on the artistic tiling of the shower walls. They may have went a little overboard with tile/slate. I can’t believe they didn’t remove the tile so it could have been repurposed. I could see making a water feature in the yard with all the slate and stone. Houses today are being all made to be similar open, neutral colors and as they said boring, as they said. Homes used to represent the owners by design and decor. They were comfortable and looked lived in. Now they are clean spaces more for show than living. Not my style. Everyone has their own idea of a beautiful home to ridicule them is wrong, it is a representation of who they are. Mocking the home is making fun of the owner.

Inside the house redo looks great, however, the front yard lost its identity when the big tree was cut down and the tree on the front left corner of the house. The corner one could have been left even if the beautiful big one was compromised.

The problem is when people plant trees down in the south west they choose trees that don’t do well in the elements down here. To keep an old tree in our front yard we have to baby it. Personally, I love tile floors throughout. But then, I have pets, so I need something waterproof and easy to clean. NO carpet. When I had a custom house built, I put ceramic tile floors throughout. Even in the closets. Also makes it super easy to change color schemes if you want. I see very little difference between stepping out on wood floors and tile floors in bedrooms. That's what rugs are for. Tile floors that look like wood are the best of both worlds. Look like wood but wear like tile.

😍I loved the stone on the shower walls! I've never thought of or seen anything like it & will definitely try to incorporate that into my bathroom remodel. The vibe I'm going for would pair perfectly with that stone choice!!!

Ugh! I can’t imagine attempting to clean that bath tub. The only thing appealing is the floor plan of the original house. The vaulted ceiling’s I love. I could see that this is a diamond in the rough.Every home has a personality and it just needs the right touch. I have to say that y’all knocked it out of the park!

I know brick fireplaces aren't trendy, but I love them and am always sorry to see them get covered. I'm waiting for the video in a few years of a couple coming in to reno this place and uncover/replace the brick. LOL

@@Kt-cn2rq - They "flipped" the house to look like every other house. Bit of a shame.
Also, aren't we over the "open floor plan" yet??? Please?? And can these so-called 'designers' use something OTHER than subway tiles?????

The natural colour rock walls in the bathroom and living room were good features, and fireplace and the bamboo tiles at entry were nice too, but the rest a bit eghhh…
nice ash cupboards and floorboards but losing the bath - the ensuite nope.
You could’ve just toned down the bath to a normal tub and tidied up the lines on the natural earthy toned stone, changed fixtures, cabinetry an d mirrors.. and neutral paint.
    And left the front garden.

Big job, looked good at the end but like most flips once you get close up you can see its done in a hurry. The paint job in the master bedroom highlighted a rather ordinary cutting in job, and I noticed something that looked like a chipped tile in the shower curb.. even though the original was over the top and not to my taste, when you renovate a home for yourself you can tell the difference in the finish.
