The people who did all of this to their home to make it fit their personalities I just absolutely love it!! They would have had to spend money and time on these projects and its so cool and different. I hope they are still expressing their fun artistic sides wherever they are today!!! I know a lot of us probably would not want this in our homes but I'm seriously just appreciating everything they did to their home. I bet they just loved it!! Inside the house redo looks great, however, the front yard lost its identity when the big tree was cut down and the tree on the front left corner of the house. The corner one could have been left even if the beautiful big one was compromised.

The problem is when people plant trees down in the south west they choose trees that don’t do well in the elements down here. To keep an old tree in our front yard we have to baby it. We planted 3 more trees and only native to the area. Our neighborhood has lost many trees due to the drought ☹️.

Agree. The front yard doesn’t look good. It was lush and green before and now it looks dingy. They should have at least made some flower beds and planted some proper plants since they removed everything. That large tree should have been replaced by another tree. They just put some rocks in the spot the tree used to be? Odd.

@@lauraaustin3250 agree the previous owners spent time on the artistic tiling of the shower walls. They may have went a little overboard with tile/slate. I can’t believe they didn’t remove the tile so it could have been repurposed. I could see making a water feature in the yard with all the slate and stone. Houses today are being all made to be similar open, neutral colors and as they said boring, as they said. Homes used to represent the owners by design and decor. They were comfortable and looked lived in. Now they are clean spaces more for show than living. Not my style. When I had a custom house built, I put ceramic tile floors throughout. Even in the closets. Also makes it super easy to change color schemes if you want. I see very little difference between stepping out on wood floors and tile floors in bedrooms. That's what rugs are for. Tile floors that look like wood are the best of both worlds. I can`t imagine that you ruined these pieces of art! I would definitely keep the mosaics and tiles.
You currently had changed the art to the customer goods

Been binge watching your videos and for me after watching about 5 or 6 this is my favourite so far. Colours are great, fireplace no longer over powering and the Island makes the kitchen such a hub or centre for the home.

I really liked the old bathroom with all the fancy deco that was created. The remodeled version was just another cookie cutter style that everyone has, not into it. Should of kept the bathroom loved the tub and sink. Disappointing with the new version!

Ugh! I can’t imagine attempting to clean that bath tub. The only thing appealing is the floor plan of the original house. The vaulted ceiling’s I love. I could see that this is a diamond in the rough.Every home has a personality and it just needs the right touch. I have to say that y’all knocked it out of the park!

I personally would keep the first bathroom as is, just need some polishing and replacing some with newer parts. Also, embrace the "beach" & "shell" theme going on around the house.

honestly, i’m glad y’all gutted it! it turned out looking great! and you’re right, i was a bit worried y’all were keeping the tile corner 🥲 i also love that you kept the tree in a backyard and freshened up the front without painting over the brick. it was sad to see the big tree in the front go but it was definitely the right choice. nice job!

Sad about the beautiful big leafless ashen tree out front as well but it could have been a safety hazard for the new owners.

and i hope they had a cleaning service. i'd hate to have to have scrub all that grout!
first time watching - i love that you put the map in the corner so we know where you are in the house. very helpful to keep track of where you're going.

It looks amazingggg!! I would’ve loved to seen the subway tile in the kitchen go all the way around the windows and up to the ceiling so it brings your eyes up and opens up the space even more, especially since the ceiling in the kitchen is lower than the living room

We get it, the house is outdated and out of style. But to berate and comment on how ugly the old design of the house with all the sarcasm and laughing for ALMOST HALF of the video is just out of line. The previous owners clearly loved the theme of their house, there’s no need to belittle their design choices. You 2 are clearly intelligent designers, kudos for the both of you for that, but please…
