3. Jonathan Blow has a great explanation for the technical aspects of this question. Most programmers are not very good at optimizing their code, programming languages are usually not maximized for efficiency either and engines are often brute forcing the software through the hardware. It's gonna be great seeing the graphics craze crash and burn once Moore's Law ends and millennial programmers are the only workers available. May as well make flipbook games at that point XD 14:40 Ah, the fuhrer model. That one works well until America gets upset.
Great video. The title is a question that was on my mind for a long time! As the guy said, Soulcalibur 6 was big let down for me. I love the series and the gameplay is better but being the 6th game and has so less content, characters, maps, is insane to me.
The background music is an interesting choice, not the usual "elevator music", a thing which I approve of, yet maybe not 100% fitting to the topic discussed? (or just too loud compared to the mic) Also - That is a nice shirt! reminds me of a guy on "german YT", who does present a politics channel, definitely the same spirit! (Visualpolitik DE) Keep on with it, it's quite good content!
Can truly recommend TV Tropes myself. Just watch out for unmarked spoilers to fiction that you haven't finished yet. Yes, some sly badmouthing against MMOs and the Chinese gaming industry! None of my past questions are here, let alone answered, but this is still gold.
Oh, Dave, I have a new yet casual question for you: name a really good yet ultimately underrated RTS game? Mine would be Empires: Dawn of the Modern World, which is basically a far better successor to the first Empire Earth compared to its sequels and even its own expansion pack The Art of Conquest as far as I've heard (helps that it was made by the same devs as its spiritual predecessor); haven't played it for a very long time though, so I'm planning to get it on GOG eventually.
I think I haven't played enough RTS games to have a hidden gem. The closest I have is an RTT, Myth The Fallen Lords. Criminally underrated, Bungie at its best.
Hey Dave! Great content as always. Could you maybe increase the volume by 10% or so in the next video?
Yeah, will try.

Awesome video bud… love these!
Great video as always!
🔥🔥❤️❤️
I couldn’t take my eyes off the Logitech G sticker behind your head in the video. I think I have the same one that came with my G 305 mouse. #SolCraft
G502 Hero, mouse of champions. ;)
I would say the same to that Joker poster of his. You a fan of the film, Dave?
@@michaelandreipalon359 It's a great film, in the vein of taxi driver.
Oh, agreed. I just hope that announced sequel doesn't hurt its quality when it comes out.

Always open to music suggestions. Thus far the least problematic has been the lofi hip hop.
Still pretty good in a chill way.
You're right, it is a nice looking shirt.
I think yes

There's plenty more coming. ;)
Song name?
I don't actually know... I had an editor for this one and I'm not sure what songs were picked. I think they're from lofi...
Woowoo!

@@DesignerDave Haven't played that and its sequel for a long time. Hope it rereleases these days.
