Thanks man! By turning off the "VSP ERROR" I can now use my phone while driving. The only downside is that you have to turn off VSP error every time you start the car.
For people with iPhones buy the 50$ lighting to hdmi adapter, plug it in follow his steps exactly but on the page where he turns on / off the vdds error if you then turn snapshot on (same page) it will save it so you don’t have to re-do after every start up (2015 civic)

Also I have a iphone that isn't activated in addition to my android would it be better to just use a mobile hotspot on my android and use my iphone with the Hdmi cables? I heard that you can't listen to music at the same time though unless it's on the iPod itself so no spotify etc?
How can you get the screen mirroring to work with the touchscreen on the dash? Will it pick up touches? Swipe left, tap, swipe right? On the in dash screen? If so, cool. But Chromecast over wifi doesn't work this way. Maybe I need a Roku, or figure out how to use screen mirroring with my Chromecast, so i don't need wifi.

There is an app called tasker that allows you to setup profiles for whatever you want to do on your phone. You could set a profile when it is connected to the cars bluetooth to force the screen into landscape and lock the orientation. So i have found you can , but the audio can actually also come through the hdmi . What i do is set bluetooth for call only and have media come through hdmi. When i get a call it still rings through the bluetooth system

Need to use LG mirror drive ver 1.2.1.2 the new version will not work on samsung. You can use apk to install older version. Don't forget to turn off updates.

Is awesome, you can use the screen as android phone, play movie, use netflix, youtube, maps, etc. Obviously you should share you internet for see apps how need network. But you can download to the stick all the things you want to see. Apps, videos, movies, music etc and can see it offline. I have a Honda civic 2015 EXL and I'm enjoying a lot this stick
+KyleMCSG you might have to turn off bluetooth. I had to mess with the settings a bit to get sound. Also i found that if i do this after the car is moving sound comes out wierd so typically I do this before i start moving.

Any luck with Si w/ Nav? I turned off the Map DD also, but once the car is in motion it turns back to the HDMI screen.

It should work with a hotspot, but easiest way is to just buy something that doesn't require wifi to mirror like the fire tv stick.

Forget about the stupid touch screen and PUT ON YOUR SEATBELT and pay attention to driving!
This is for using navigation instead of on my phone screen, also no need to worry about my drive just take care of yourself and it will be fine.
