Thank you Wolfgang and Netherlands Bach for this very agreeable interpretation. I appreciated the tempo, articulation and ornamentation. Thank you especially Wolfgang, for being such an engaging and joyful presenter.
It is impossible to not love these interview/overview videos. Every performer/director is virtually exploding with their obvious enthusiasm for Bach and the incredible gifts that he bequeathed to all of us. Even as well known as this chorale prelude is, there's always something a performer can experiment with. I enjoyed the slightly shortened articulationn of the notes of the chorale melody, as Wolfgang Zerer plays it...somehow, it becomes even more emphatic. // NBS, never cease...ever.
The organ in in this church which Bach played (and praised) was a miracle, and this new instrument is also miraculous. Unbelievably beautiful.
