Why do you tried to clash on a def enemy with your dodge, def or counter? Usually I just ignore it and focus on getting getting unopposed instead because you can do free damage there. Is there a hidden mechanic or something?
If you target a defence skill with a defence skill of your own, you "offset" it, effectively cancelling the skill altogether. You need to be faster than the slot or the slot needs to be already targetting the sinner in order for this to work. Also this doesn't work against slots with counter skills

@WhoamI-td2fq ik someone explained it better than me but yeah!!! Offsetting! If I didn't offset the def on heath he would've gotten a buff LOL
