Next time, I'm wanting to try a system where Hunters gain mask shards incrementally for each pickup limit satisfied and movement item collected, rather than getting a full mask all at once. This should make the system a little harder to metagame by, for example, delaying the second movement pickup as long as possible. It should also mean that hunter power levels will more closely scale with the speedrunner's power level throughout the game. Hunters will eventually reach 6 masks, meaning we can lift the nerfs on some charms, as well as un-nerf Nail Arts so they're viable again for something other than lever skips. This game specifically had some issues with the social deduction mechanics: voting to kill is somewhat beneficial if you get the right target, but getting the wrong target is extremely bad for the hunters. This means the best strategy is to not vote unless you're completely, 100% certain. Next time, voting needs to be somehow less punishing. Furthermore, the Traitor should be able to help the Speedrunner by fighting other Hunters, allowing for "accidental" attacking. I had planned for friendly fire to allow for this, but we needed to use HKMP Teams for voice chat. Teams, however, prevent friendly fire. Oops. That should've been obvious, but I didn't think of it. If we do this again, I'll make some changes here. TransitionAlerts are set to 4s I think, currently. Hunters definitely seemed to have a little trouble seeing them, but I think once people get used to looking for the glow, they'll notice it more often. For clarification, we added this to prevent "transition moments" where there was a near-miss in a transition through pure luck. Transition moments are fun for viewers, but not great for the game, since it means hunters optimally should avoid using transitions as much as possible. We want hunters to roam, not camp, hence why the mod was made. TheHuntIsOn's new Event Notifications turned out pretty good. I'm very happy with it. It's an evolution of the audio hint system. It being automated is nice because then other players can play speedrunner, and it means we don't get the random mistakes where I forget to play a sound effect. The ambiguity of the chat alerts encourages a lot of hunter discussion. We will probably expand on this in the future and slowly improve it. This system reduces the emphasis on lifelines, which is healthy for the game. Lifelines are a bit problematic because they add a lot of chaos. Mindgames and planning can all be thrown out the window if the hunters lifeline at the right time. Or, more often than not, the lifeline means nothing at all. It's too luck based and unpredictable. Also, the speedrunner usually has no idea that a lifeline happened and they're about to get ganked. It's still fun to have limited lifelines because hunters have to deliberated when it should optimally be used. Constant lifelines on a cooldown aren't as good for the game, so I'm happy we've found a system that can partially replace them. We've started recording hunter microphones individually. This allows for more finely-tuned audio balancing, allows for selectively muting people or moving their audio around slightly to avoid multiple people talking over each other, and allows for some post-processing of people's voices. Overall, it adds a significant amount of time to the editing process, but the end result is definitely worth it. Making these edits is becoming a lot of work, but I want to put out the best quality content I can. Very happy with the result here. Anyhow, that jelly RNG was pretty bad. The jelly was so far down I couldn't dash under it without waiting, but also so far right that if I upslashed it, its projectile would get stuck on the platform and then would follow me into the tunnel to the left. Speedrunner brain took over and refused to let me wait, so obviously I slapped it away. Oops. Funniest ending to an SVH video though, I suppose. Felt like I played the rest of the game quite well though. I had a few kind of scary moments, but otherwise felt untouchable for a lot of it. Nice for a change after getting owned in a lot of the other games I've played recently, lol. Henry feeding me information on which spots were open definitely helped. Next game we might be experimenting with a pretty huge change, which I'm excited to try out! This game still has soooo much untapped potential.
The Ooma was the real traitor in this run. Jokes aside, this video was great! You've done very well fine-tuning the rules to make these videos feel really balanced. Sometimes it seems like the speedrunner has too many advantages; but as a certain jellyfish proved, it can all end at any moment. It's good to see that you still have careful consideration of the rules!
Idea for different punishment for getting voted out: can't deal damage to neither the speedrunner nor the hunter team anymore (only works with friendly fire enabled) and/or limited kommunikation, something like can not talk anymore neither to the team nor the speedrunner (in case they are the traitor) but still can listen or can still talk but only through proximity chat (idea inspired by the game feed the kraken). Or now has only vision as if with lantern in darkness. Maybe assymetrical punishments like dead if traitor but only unable to talk if innocent. (Realy good series btw i am impressed by the amount of ideas how to change things up and the work that has to go into setting these up and editing them)
@@small_artist8218 Third option for even more chaos: hunters individually decide at the start of the game whether they want to stick to their role, or be a traitor. Basically randomizing the entire premise AND forcing Fire himself to be suspicious of anyone he crosses, needing to figure out if they're friend or foe.
I think its funny henry got sussed so hard for missing mic checks even though he talked for all of them, signalled by the discord indicator. He just wasnt loud enough
@@floor_tile There was one at 36:21 that was called *seconds* after he gave fire info too, if it happened in real-time like was shown in the video, it was so smooth
@@henryst-1 You'd have had basically 0 sus if they just LISTENED. Cron would most likely have gotten voted out after Herra Incident too. Really unfortunate, but you played a fantastic impostor. You can take solace in that, at least. You also got sussed for so many things that other people did too, like not being able to keep up with fire (how is anyone supposed to keep up with fire).
I always do this in social deception games weather I'm the traitor or not lol. That way I can always respond with zero hesitation. Also I just think it's funny (shout out to Pikmin 4 or I guess Pikmin 5 now)
Just like how many times Trvmp said he wanted to weaponize the legal system, he only wanted people's votes, and he would become a dictator... and people took it as a joke
@@kurisu6312 yeah that was mostly a joke, i was admitting to being the traitor before it was even assigned (which was like 3 minutes before we started btw)
this format was unbelievably stressful and incredibly fun. would totally do again 😈. I feel like I played pretty well for most of it given it was a new format, but the spire callout was EXTREMELY regrettable. also the monomon strat was GENIUS. ggs everybody!
It made me actually mad how you didn't miss a single mic-check (as far as I could tell) or do anything objectively suspicious; yet due to random circumstances, you were still considered suspicious... But I'm glad to see you're getting some attention through participating in these videos! I like the personality you bring to these events (and your lack of regular swearing; that's appreciated by me).
Ain’t gonna lie my man even if you were the imposter you’re more of a victim since you got accused of so many things that you didn’t do.💀 Ether way Good Job you did so amazing that I’m 100% sure you would’ve won the game with fire.🔥❤️✌🏻
I swear henry was nowhere near as sus as people were making him out to be. He was there and doing what he said usually and not making any major noticeable mistakes, but for whatever reason kinder seemed to have a permanent sus on him since the beginning and kept slowly making the others agree. Overall it was still super fun and would love to see more like this!
Thats just a normal thing, one tiny play, regardless of your mistake or their own mistake becomes a permanent sus. I once got insanely mad at someone sussing me on an amongus game for something that was mathematically impossible because they couldn't count and I was crew, he even forgot he fucking scanned me. Side tangent aside, people get sussed for anything, some people are just more predisposed to keeping the sus on the same target instead.
Honestly, I think it entirely came from not being loud enough during mic checks, and they said they didn't have chat bubbles from discord in the program they were using. He was almost never heard despite being one of the first to respond every time. I think he just got overshadowed by others during the mic checks, to the point where I think the mic checks were probably more detrimental than beneficial to the hunters. Had Henry not been the traitor, they would have had the exact same amount of sus on him.
100%. Without that sus on henry, cron would've most likely been voted as well, after herra "incident". Would've changed the game completely, but that's just how luck goes.
@@Tyler.8046 Probably something for future hunters to keep in mind: mic checks should have everyone answer them in a specific order, instead of all at the same time, to make 100% sure each voice can be heard clearly-and to make it even more obvious when someone fails to respond in time :V
To be fair, Henry was casting suspicion on a lot of other people which, in my experience from playing other social deduction games, always makes a player seem sus.
@@lomiification yeah i was under the impression if the imposter wanted to talk to fire they would have to be in fire's call for like a minimum amount of time, like at least 15 seconds, so the mic checks would be more relevant. if the imposter can transfer info by being in the other call for just 3 seconds the mic checks seem irrelevant
"yeah, they're gonna block C-dash - Mike check ? -HELLO !" That's peak traitor play here ! And that's AFTER getting called ou in the first 5 minutes ;7
ok but can we talk about how stupidly good cron is????? not only insane awareness, but is always almost able to pinpoint fire's exact location, so much that people find him sus. like actually crazy
If they guess which lever he pulled incorrectly, the game picks up on it and says "WRONG LEVERRRRR!" But, that's just a concept. A funny one, but still a concept.
Now I really want you to do another one of these where *everyone* is a traitor but they all think they're the only one. I think it would be *so* funny.
That would probably fall apart if any 2 of them popped into VC with fire at the same time. The opposite alternate would be the bigger mind game I think.
@@soulknight5190 I mean, nothing wrong with a video just for fun instead of a challenge. It could be a nice change of pace, and the fact there aren't any would make it a surprise for the hunters! Maybe next year, for April's Fools :P
Henry is my new favorite person from this series whenever they were sussing him I was just thinking all the times “HENRYYYYYY” is screamed in the Henry Stickmin games
@@DerrickParr Honestly I have never felt more tense in a section where on screen, nothing was happening. My brain was like NOOO HENRY FREN DONT GET VOTED OUT
48:50 typing out 'haha' and deleting it is the most relatable thing I've ever seen. GGs on an entertaining run (as usual)! Brought many smiles to my face.
1. I love the 0 nail damage blooper. Just feels so casual that stuff like that presumably happens somewhat often and you guys just pause the game (as seen in other videos). I really like the casual vibe these videos have. 2. I really like the proximity VC indicators. Makes it really easy to understand when others can actually be heard in-game. 3. Henry openly going "Thank you so much" to the others saying the traitor is doing good is so funny. 4. That "they are going to CDash" followed immediately by "Mic check" and Henry being there in time was such perfect timing. 5. That jellyfish was the secret Hunter.
Thanks for inviting me! It was chaotic and intense and a lot of fun! Would love to do this again sometime. Henry played really well. He may have stabbed us in the back but I would still trust with him with my life.
That ending was so tragic, faking the Uumuu fight was such a big brain play. You and Henry did a phenomenal job, and the MGS call sound was super helpful as a way to know who was talking in which call (as with the other QoL things you and the editors did!) GGs and would love to see another game similar to this again!
"Who do we trust to use the lifeline" is a CRAZY wrinkle to this variant, wow. Edit: Not me taking until the 58 minute mark to realize that there are four hunters PLUS a traitor, rather than four hunters INCLUDING a traitor. 🤦♂️
All I have to say is: Henryyyyyyyyy?!?!?! 🤨 Oh, and thanks for having me this series only gets better and better! The format inspired such entertaining conversation as well. GGs all around !
I think y'all should have either 0, 1, or 2 traitors but it's not revealed how many there are. So you could be being suspicious of nothing, or it could be vital to get the first vote right.
Letting fire free through a mound and claw, or literally flat out refusing to help strategize with or lying about your location to teammates, and henry's getting sussed for speaking quietly lol
The editing in this video was so high-production. The moments where we see the Hunter's screens moving across in tandem with their position on the map, and the little audio notifications letting us viewers know someone is nearby and which direction they are was very helpful and immersive. Editor popped off. The hunters predicted some of Fire's tricks very well, love to see it. Feels like every game there's a new creative mindgame he has to try. Massive kudos to everyone involved in this.
the video somehow being longer than usual when the speedrunner is supposed to have help is pretty funny to me- (no shade to the helper btw) Edit : OH NO that ending is sooo sad ! I was really into the plan of sneaking THK under their eyes, it would have been so neat !
Could we see a game where You are a hunter, Fire? A change of pace where we hear your expertise on speedrun strats and ideas to locate and stop others?
@@fireb0rn would love to see a 1 speedrunner vs X hunted kind of format where the hunted share objectives collected and have 1 life each and only 1 of them has to beat the game before you kill them all off.
@@Cer83rus🤔🤔🤔 In order for that to work, it seems like the solo hunter would need a major advantage. Something like all movement unlocked from the rip, or five minute lifelines, or Kingsoul, or something. Four speedrunners divide and conquering to get spells while getting C Dash, or all three Dreamers at once would be nightmarish for the Hunter. But fully stocked Hunter starting in the Birthplace and coming from the depths of the Abyss to hunt the runners sounds *wild* and I would like to see that 😂
Imagine a game where the hunters had constant access to your in game audio, and you had to work around the easier tracking while also using it to confuse the hunters
Too overpowered I think, turn off like walking sounds definitely though, cause the difference between city and deepnest and green path walking sounds are VERY noticeable, with that exception though, it could work I think
[SPOILERS] Nooooo, poor Fire. 😭 It was such a clever play, too! But also, Fire's Knight talking to the Tiny Council of Amoogus at the end is so heckin' funny looking, I love it. 🤏 The Teenie Weenies shall decide your fate. (...or you'll accidentally get yourself killed.)
i think its really funny how fire turned this into a kind of new videogame with new features, sandbox changes, nerfs etc. theres a lot of effort going into this and its noticable
As soon as I saw the jelly projectile stuck to the wall and you dashing left I literally screamed. Damn... this could've been SO cool if you succeeded!
Yeah but he was being stressed out from all the sus he's getting. It's a bit hard to decide to when and when not to call him out cause if he calls out a little to late and someone's near that's another sus if they see fire ending the boss when it was just called out. Not to mention having to fight him with others, when he hit him twice that's definitely scary on his side too.
I can feel Henry's pain only being suspected cause he "missed" mic checks even though he didn't miss them. It also doesn't help that like half the mic checks were in the middle of someone else talking. Meanwhile others that did some more suspicious actions weren't scrutinized other than Cron.
i adored this episode. totally engrossed the entire time, rewinding a little and pausing to read all the text. speedrunner v hunter has already been my favourite thing to watch on youtube for months, but this traitor element is such a genius twist that it elevates the format yet again. and as always the production value and clarity is amazing. henry was awesome. thanks for everyone's hard work! ❤
Lowkey I do think Cron was the most sus for a lot of that. A-mound, resting grounds, city and sanctum stuff... plus, I don't think the optimal strategy is confiding your location. It seems to do more harm than good.
The most genuine sus, for sure. Henry mainly caught sus due to being talked over in mic checks. 1 or 2 incidents outside of that, biggest one being the quick death to fire at watchers. But that would've been far less instrumental if he wasn't incorrectly called out for missing like 5 mic checks.
In fairness to Cron, a lot of the plays Henry made were about calling out which places were guarded or safe, which he'd only know because of who's located where. But there IS a downside to keeping that hidden, for sure, as you can't confirm amongst the group that all the important spots are safe. So it's a bit of "which risky strategy do you want to take?" Which I think makes the format a strong one, since many strategies are viable. Would love to see more of these.
i loooove the idea of hunters being paranoid of each other-enables you to make them fairly strong but still breaks up their coordination. would be interested to see how the dynamic would work if you told the hunters that there was a traitor but there actually wasn't one!
Fire and the Hunters have access to all (allowed) charms from the start, but must lock in their build from the start. No two players may use the same charm, but Fire has first pick. Hunters share unlocks (Mask/Vessel, movement, permitted spells and upgrades, notches, stags and nail techniques) with each other rather than being tied to Fire’s progression. Hunters gain access to more of their Charm Build as they gain enough notches to allow it. The idea is for the hunters to try to decide between hunting Fire, or pursue progression to increase their overall power, or splitting players up to try to keep pressure on fire while also maintaining some momentum on progression… possibly even tasking one Hunter to go with a progression oriented PvE build that offers little for the PvP against Fire. For the hunters, start off with three masks with the first two mask upgrades requiring 6 shards each while the third requires the usual 4, allowing them to max out at 6. The idea is if the Hunters can keep Fire slowed down or deter him from progression for long enough, the hunters would be able to catch up or even exceed him in power… that Fire is as much worried about them accumulating more power while he isn’t in contact with them as they are of him accumulating power whenever they don’t know where he is.
I like this. The Hunters would also know Fire's build (and the fact that he has a very limited selection means he'll _have_ to go for them), so that would actually give them more places to specifically guard- potentially spreading them out, but potentially intercepting Fire more.
I loved this game because it really allowed the personalities of all the hunters to shine which was awesome! Would love to see another game with a traitor in the future
Loving the editing on this one; seeing the viewpoint of hunters move around the screen based on where they are relative to you was really cool and resulted in some comedy here and there. Seeing you getting chased, and then suddenly seeing a second feed literally drop in as the chaser beefs a jump was REALLY funny.
Awesome game! Social deduction tip for the hunters: after the first formal vote, oat and phia were totally clear. Because cron had two votes on him (henry, kinder), so if either oat or phia were the traitor, they could bandwagon vote to remove a hunter and help fire. so when they voted no on cron, they were confirmed good and should have been trusted for the rest of the game!
I love the feeling of realizing that a content creator you love also loves some of the same games you do. I lost my mind when I heard the Ace Attorney Edgeworth music! great work as always, can't wait to see more!
The editing deserves a ton of kudos on this one, the MGS call sounds, the hunter frames moving with the characters, all of it is very good! I wasn't sure what was up with the red speakers for a while though, tad confused
This might be my favorite match yet! Good tension, clever tricks, and plenty of solid gameplay, along with a very fun gimmick. Small note, I liked how the video displays the names and skins of whoever's talking during the first minute. It can be a bit tricky learning the names, voices, and skins of each hunter, and it's nice that it's addressed considering how much this particular match relies on knowing who's who.
Henry wasn't being suss at all. I think the mic check thing needs to be a limited resource. It was a bit irritating for that to be the default to find a traitor.
This was by far the most enjoyable manhunt video because this format makes the discussion part from the hunters so much more interesting, would love to see this format again 🙏🏻
honestly out of following what was happening in video i'd say henry was probably my least sus outside of what i actually knew so i'm surprised he was sus the entire time
This was SUPER good! I'd love to see more of this style, it was super intense and fun to watch. Everyone did so good! Sad ending, but that's okay. I definitely am down for long vids of this, it was crazy fun the entire watch. Edit: also thanks for doing the charity donation, I feel like no one is talking about it for fear of getting flagged which is super fucked up.
ALEPH risk level: A singular explosive jellyfish. (This is a Lobotomy Corporation reference, which one of the OSTs was used here at the end lol) I wonder if Fire is gonna use Second Warning for chase, considering it's like one of the most frenetic OSTs of the game. GLORY TO PROJECT MOON AND GOD GAMER FIREBORN!
Would it be possible to make traitors have an occasional sabotage abbility? Something to affect the hunters(all the same skin, mirror the map, etc) while hunters could get maybe another lifeline or two? Would be fun seeing the traitor have more involvement and causing the hunters to more actively want to vote them out.
the routing on this one was REALLY cool, definitely the best of all the hunt vids I've watched. I super loved how you only got half the mask shards around crossroads to fake people out since you usually get all four, then got the rest from queen's station and no eyes. Sorry bout how it turned out, those damn jellyfish, they're monsters.
LMAO the nail damage! i love this so much. gg editing all the wild wacky proximity stuff because holy was this video amazing. i love the suspicious chat messages, what a nice touch. (i'd waste time and yell back at it though) henry is so bold LOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL i also would trust oat always so oat would be a good traitor LOL also 10/10 shleby cycle LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FIRE PLEAAAASE HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAH
PLEASE PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER ONE THIS WAS SO GOOD!!! The strategies for this gamemode are endless, when you rat yourself out to buy the runner more time, when you talk with the runner, it's just so interesting to watch. Maybe do 6 hunters and 2 traitors next? Also having friendly fire on could lead to epic last stand moments.
Ain’t gonna lie they were messing up so bad that Henry was a saint compared to them and the fact that the only sus on him was that he didn’t talk during a mic check was bull*$*$ since he did but they didn’t hear him.💀 Another thing how is pointing out peoples mistakes that can easily be a Traitor activity sus ? Like are we just going be quiet about someone letting fire past them ? If we want to be technical then everyone could be the traitor because „oh you lost fire ? maybe you let him go on purpose” or “fire killed you ? Perhaps you let fire kill you”. Like my man Henry was accused of bunch of things that he didn’t do and he defended them all.💀 Henry was a victim even if he was the imposter he was getting falsely accused for the stuff he didn’t commit.💀 Ether way this was Def Fire and Henry dub if it wasn’t for that unlucky jelly placement.✌🏻
@@marmotexjr for me it was more of a irony since they accused Henry of calling people out while they were calling Henry for little things it was kinda annoying.💀✌🏻
This format is so damn good, it was really enjoyable, oat saying the traitor is doing a great job, and henry replying by ty is hilarious and bold, overall henry did good, but got sussed a lil for no reason. The editing is also on point 🔥🔥
This series is just getting better and better. The ending was hilarious! Adding a traitor made for great entertainment, my favourite so far, and I'm looking forward to see what this series brings in the future. Thanks for the laughs!
Great video, but the flashbacks during the vote being black and white (thus not being able to see what colour player was in what clip) combined with the voice bubbles being covered made that section pretty hard to follow
Hey fire! Love this video series, and this spin on things was so interesting! I think the hunters got off to a strong start with their communication, but after a while it got harder and harder as more accusations got thrown around. I really like this video concept from a statistics perspective. At some point, you have to stop worrying about the traitor and start worrying about the ultimate objective: to stop fire. Ultimately, 80% of the info you’re given is true, but it’s hard to remember that when you’re sus of everything! And even then, after a while some hunters were scared to give any information at all, which doesn’t give fire info but also doesn’t give your team any info either. At the end of the day, I have no clue what strategy would come out on top. I think maybe the hunters should be buffed on this one, maybe some more lifelines? Not every 15 mins but maybe 3 would help. Keep up the amazing vids!
When coming back from talking to fire, the traitor should sometimes call out "mic check", in case they missed a callout. If they had missed one, it would be taken as a response, otherwise it would initiate one, and the hunters wouldn't notice the difference.
lmao the moment when everyone was discussing if hitting levers could throw them off only for fire to hit a lever to throw them off and they just exploded for solid 10 minutes lol
This one was pretty well put together, better than a lot of the others you've done (and most of those have been really good!). I'd like to see some minor spins on this (like having a random number or traitors from 0-5 without anyone knowing whos who) but this one was a very enjoyable watch.
I love every aspect of this series, not just Fire and the hunters, but the mods, the editing, and the constant innovation! It'd be really easy for me to lose track of what's happening and get confused, like I did to some degree on the earliest episodes, but the editing has done a great job keeping me up to speed on everything that's going on (and the BGM is on point as well). It could make sense to call it a working formula as it is and just pump them out, but continuously trying new ideas, even if some of them don't work entirely as intended, is very respectable and keeps things fresh. Not only that, but the commitment to keeping it authentic and showing failed runs has meant I'm always excited while watching and wondering what would happen in every moment. My thanks to the whole team!
@@robertomachin8914Speedrun technique, fire was actually the person who discovered it like 3 years ago iirc. Theres a very small gap between the hitbox of the laser and the crystal crawler, which you can sneak through with a precise jump
Everyone needed their ears checked! XD Henry did legitimately, really well aside from some blunders that weren't his fault. And then the latter where it's some of his fault. Soft spoken solidarity!
I knew trying to pretend fighting monomon was pushing it. At least being near archives entrance would have bee enough. Such a fun run, the traitor added such a good suspense factor, would love to see another like this again
Really loved this one. I feel like as y'all have continued to balance things out that it started making each video a little more generic by reducing the amount of plays you as a runner could do. By adding a traitor in a 5 hunter situation, it made it feel more fun in allowing opportunities to outplay the hunters like (redacted spoiler ;p). I love it when you can do plays such as getting Mantis Claw first or going for Wings or other things that the hunters just won't expect. It seems like it naturally becomes more difficult to do those plays as the game drags on (or rather they're unnecessary after a point so hunters have no need to react to them), so it's cool when the opportunity is taken. I also really like this take on putting traitors into Hollow Knight instead of the P5 one y'all did forever ago. I really hope y'all do more Runner vs Hunters + Traitor games in the future. Also donate to the fundraiser everyone!
I'M LAUGHING SO HARD I FUCKING CAN'T BREATHE THATS HOW IT ENDS?! THE BIG BRAIN PLAYS WERE GOING TO BE SO IMMENSE AND HE DIES FOR HITTING THE JELLYFISH I CAN'T
I think making the sounds be proximity based would also be logical, a large proximity tho like "in city of tears you hear a lever" and it only shows to people who were in city of tears at the time.
Gotta love the way Henry got sussed hard for just not being loud enough during mic checks😂 it reminded me so much of early day among us content on UA-cam. Covid was one hell of a time, eh boys?

Excited to see what the change might be! I love the series where it’s at, but switching things up could be fun.
Maybe it could instead of removing the player on an incorrect vote just like reduce their masks by 3?
Concept for a future iteration: they're all secretly traitors but think there's only one. They won if they figure it out before you beat HK.
(Realy good series btw i am impressed by the amount of ideas how to change things up and the work that has to go into setting these up and editing them)
Hollow Knight social experiment; tell everyone there is a traitor among them when there actually isn't, then let paranoia do the rest
Nah Bros a menace

@@small_artist8218 the getaway was great
Okay, Magic the Noah
@@small_artist8218 Third option for even more chaos: hunters individually decide at the start of the game whether they want to stick to their role, or be a traitor. Basically randomizing the entire premise AND forcing Fire himself to be suspicious of anyone he crosses, needing to figure out if they're friend or foe.
I think its funny henry got sussed so hard for missing mic checks even though he talked for all of them, signalled by the discord indicator. He just wasnt loud enough
I KNOW THIS MADE ME SO UPSET. We didn’t have discord bubbles on the program we were using :(

It's genuinely so extremely frustrating the *sheer amount* of times Henry very audibly called out mic checks and was just not heard lmfao
alsl the video context where mic checks were utterly irrelevant. only like 20s worth of time when he was talking to fire

It says Kronk when a lever is hit, 10/10 feature, keep it. (Shame about the lack of “pull the lever” or “WRONG LEVERRRRRR” dialogue though)
This is so funny because I didn't even think about the character reference and only thought of it as an onomatopoeia for the lever sound. 😂
it's a hysterically stealthy reference, isn't it?! (i caught it immediately because i'm just that cool but i did marvel at that for a minute)
Its also the name for the speedrun where you smash every lever in the game. Called Kronk%
@ Ha! That’s something I didn’t know, great name.

That's the moment you full commit to referring to all hunters as traitors, including yourself, the whole game.
That ending was so tragic, faking the Uumuu fight was such a big brain play. Already really appreciate the icons showing who is talking. Makes it easier to know who's who and what's going on for all these people I don't know.
The editing in this video was so high-production. The moments where we see the Hunter's screens moving across in tandem with their position on the map, and the little audio notifications letting us viewers know someone is nearby and which direction they are was very helpful and immersive. 1:13:08 That is the smartest thing ever to sow distrust. Making it look like you came from the other way omg
1:08:55 he should've waited at least like 20 seconds to call that out lmao
Room transitions and action notifications really spice up the action here… can’t wait to see the video!
@@riluna3695 No you're right, there is a trade-off there. But I was surprised Cron did that without discussion of it beforehand.
def the most entertaining variant you've done yet! hope you do another one like this in future
Having a traitor makes this so much more interesting! It adds a layer of intrigue to the chase.
i loooove the idea of hunters being paranoid of each other-enables you to make them fairly strong but still breaks up their coordination. would be interested to see how the dynamic would work if you told the hunters that there was a traitor but there actually wasn't one!
You'd need a caveat around Kingsoul though, otherwise the hunters will be significantly underpowered.
Oh man, do the hunters ever have a hard time tracking your health! Many "he's at 1HP" or "He's low!" when you're at like 3+ hahaha
CoD Players would be proud
Henry was a fantastic traitor, lol, the fact that they actually called him out super early but were joking, not knowing they were correct, lol

Made for a very dangerous gambit.
If they had missed one, it would be taken as a response, otherwise it would initiate one, and the hunters wouldn't notice the difference.
lmao the moment when everyone was discussing if hitting levers could throw them off only for fire to hit a lever to throw them off and they just exploded for solid 10 minutes lol
shoutout to the goat that suggested katana zero music like holy shit i was NOT expecting that to make my day
This one was pretty well put together, better than a lot of the others you've done (and most of those have been really good!). I'd like to see some minor spins on this (like having a random number or traitors from 0-5 without anyone knowing whos who) but this one was a very enjoyable watch.
1:11:42 1st trumpet activated my sleeper agent mode😭
About to say the same thing. Edit: Meant about the song not being a sleeper agent. Lob Corp is a fun game to watch and play
I was sat back doing something else and immediately leant forwards and started paying attention after hearing it
GLORY TO PROJECT MOON
GLORY TO PROJECT MOON
Truly peak
58:35 The fabled God Pixel?!
yeah, I was wondering what was that?
@@robertomachin8914 That must've been one hell of a pixel.
@@robertomachin8914fire has a youtube short explaing how that happens if you are curious
@@robertomachin8914Speedrun technique, fire was actually the person who discovered it like 3 years ago iirc. Theres a very small gap between the hitbox of the laser and the crystal crawler, which you can sneak through with a precise jump
Everyone needed their ears checked! XD
Henry did legitimately, really well aside from some blunders that weren't his fault.
Unexpected ending, but love this format nonethless
Also, love the new sound effect for the post-edit comments
I think making the sounds be proximity based would also be logical, a large proximity tho like "in city of tears you hear a lever" and it only shows to people who were in city of tears at the time.
I was so hyped for fire's plan to fake fight Uumuu... And then he accidentally dies 😭😂
Gotta love the way Henry got sussed hard for just not being loud enough during mic checks😂 it reminded me so much of early day among us content on UA-cam. Covid was one hell of a time, eh boys?
All that to lose to a jellyfish LMAO... Henry was doing very well imo. I think you had a very real chance of winning without him being sus'd out.
1:11:48 the first trumpet from lobotomy corporation will not go unnoticed
@@semodemo0159 Of course it won't. It called me over.
