I was trying to create this tactic myself too because I was obsessed with the Kroos role where he drops in to the left of the centre back pairing. I tried keeping the attacking midfielders wider as Inverted wingers but you're right, they are very much central players.
if you make them ap's they arent gonna get the goal output though... i would be more interested in how he gets that kroos role halfback to drop on the left side and not straight back between the cbs
Would love to see Rangnick implement this tactic to the England NT. Trent playing in a Kroos role. Foden, Bellingham and Palmer in those roles behind the striker. Saka providing width on the left (like Mittelstadt/Raum. Idk how realistic it would be though.
Damn was hoping you’d test this in the league with some teams. Everyone been doing euro test & it’s too easy , doesn’t give a clear idea of how good it is
Absolutely gorgeous work. Thanks. I want to see the smaller or underdog teams' tactics from you. Such as Romania,Slovakia,Slovenia and my country Turkey. All of them doing great i think and they played against tough teams ann did suprises esspecially romania and slovakia.
How are you able to tell which positions will suit players and where they play at? And I noticed that you checked their traits, but what do you look for? And thanks for the lovely video mate🙏🏾
Brilliant video I will be building my next long term save with this tactical identity with Red bull inspired recruitment , Great Work as per by the goat 🙌
I have noticed that this is a very intense tactic, much more similar to a gegenpressing tactic, but in the matches vs Scotland, Hungary and Spain, Germany ended up with more possession and more than 500 passes each game. My point being that the positions of the players are accurate as they can be in the game, but the tactic should be more possession oriented than gegenpressing, what tweaks can we use to make this tactic more possession based than gegenpressing?
@RDFTactics how does it work that the kroos role halfback is dropping on the left side of the cbs and not in the middle of them? Great video i have been searching for this one!
fm24 added positional play so if hes the left sided DM, he will drop to left CB in build up, if ur not seeing this than either ur not on PC or ur still on fm23, this info was given months b4 release
RDF I Really need your help! Please please please help me as soon as possible my save is dying. How I like to play is when I move teams I like to replicate IRL styles such as this one. Or even historical ones such as Jose’s inter team. However sometimes it won’t work with a certain team. What would you say the best and most effective way to find out what playing style will suit your team best is?
Go into squad view.. add a column that shows player type, jot down your core players type and then build a tactic or find a tactic that uses roles that fit those player types. Example, PHYSICAL players are best suited to roles that don't require playmaking duties so use roles like Winger ect. Intelligent players do well in roles like playmaking roles or roles like raumdeuters
you always try to play at your team strengths. So it's really important to know which attributes are the most important for the style of football you wanna play, for example for gegenpressing attributes such as work rate, stamina, aggression, natural fitness become super important. Sorry to jump in, felt like I knew this one lol
After watching the first Germany game, I bought the best left back in my save for 117M 😭 (i had every other position coming from a 3-2-4-1) but I never really enjoyed my recreation of the Naglesmann tactic, SO YOU DON'T KNOW HOW AMAZING THIS IS FOR ME! But would it still work if I change the 'DM' to 'DLP' and the 2 'AM''s to 'AP'? Those are the natural roles for the best players in my squad.
Amazing video as always. Guys Do you think I can use Alex Scott for the AM on support role? He has the traits likes ball played into feet. Comes deep to get ball. Tries killer balls often. Runs with the ball through center often.
It’s just how I read it in English. Similar to Bruno Fernandes, nobody actually says “Fernange” - I feel unauthentic when trying to pronounce properly. Almost like I’m trying to make a joke of it haha

I love your videos RDF. Your ability to deconstruct the real life tactics and to rebuild them in the game is just amazing and truly one of a kind. You deserve every like🫶🏻
@@peppythepivot Maybe yeah they are overrated. But.... Kane, Bellingham, Palmer, Foden, Saka All had 20+ goals last season. Rice, Arnold, Walker Maybe they're overrated or the coach is shite
In this video, I showed many clips Havertz running in behind. I mentioned in the analysis “Havertz is versatile. Drops deep, goes wide and breaks defence line”. I then showed two clips of Germany playing the ball over the top to Havertz running in behind the defence line. That’s not what a False 9 will do. He won’t be versatile, he only wants to drop. CF does all.
@@nicnePencin and how do you pronounce Bruno Fernandes? because I’m sure you’d pronounce it Fer-nan-des and not Fer-nange. I’m pretty sure you’d pronounce many names wrong. It’s life.
