I have an airtag on all my vehicles, and removed the speaker from all of them. Only issue is with it is that it still be be located if they use "precision finding" on the iPhone, it will get them within a few inches of where the tag is at. It will also alert an iPhone (and I think Android has it as well) that an unknown tracking device is moving with them, so they will know there is one with them.
Have a family member in So CA who can't keep a bike, scooter or motorcycle in their possession no matter what. Sending them this link. On another note it's interesting with everywhere @viajarMOTO has been in this world you've not had theft problems. At least not that I'm aware of?
That’s terrible about your San Diego family member. I would recommend a service based GPS tracker for a place like that. The AirTag’s questionable tracking is not ideal. As far as having anything stolen - We had a folding trawl that was taken from one of our bags while in Tunisia. Hopefully they needed it more than we did. That was the only issue in 3.5 years in Europe.
I have them on the car, caravan, motorbike and dog,, and no problems at all. I get notified within minutes. Maybe a problem with your internet or system
@@pjetenere1 I get notifications when I leave the location of an AirTag but I don’t get the same notifications when the AirTag is moved from my location.
MONIMOTO for the win.
