In this video, I demonstrate how to copy and paste channel strip settings, only plugins, and only sends from one channel over to another, or to multiple! This is a huge timesaver for me when mixing! I’ve been following you for a very long time. And I do believe this maybe the greatest time saver. And headache solvers you’ve ever shown me. I must be an idiot, because I’ve tried to figure out a way to do this function to no avail. Thanks again for all you do. And the knowledge you share. You’re my Logic Hero….
Hey Josh, I have a question on using busses that I haven't found answered in your vids yet, which is this: I get that a Summing Stack can be used as a submix bus. However, when I'm doing a static mix, I like to leave the faders at zero for as long as possible and since Logic Pro doesn't provide volume trim knobs (grrr) I've added the gain plugin on the individual audio channel strips in my mixing template, and I use those at first. Then when I've nearly finished my static mix and am happy with the relative levels, but need to bring everything down to avoid clipping, I like to grab all the individual channel faders and bring them down. That still leaves the submix bus faders (Drums, Keys, Guitars, BGV etc) at zero, and I'll use them mixing past the static mix phase. When I've got the mixer open, it's a PIA to CMD+click each channel in order to lower the faders all at once, because the Summing Stack channel strips are showing as well and I don't want to highlight those. I thought that highlighting only "Audio" and "Inst" in the upper right section of the Mixer (un-selecting Aux, Bus) would show just my individual channels strips, but it doesn't hide the Summing Stacks (which I've been thinking of as busses). I'd like to keep using summing stacks, but maybe I need to think about setting up old school style busses for submixes instead...? Thanks a ton
I don't know if I'm happier to learn about this feature, or to see a pro using the same long plugin chain on multiple tracks. I do that and can't help but think I'm doing it wrong.
Not exactly. You could bypass the sends you don't want to copy. Then copy the channel strip. Then paste only the sends, and it will copy all sends, but keep the bypass. Although it's fairly easy to remove sends on multiple tracks. Just select all the tracks where you want to remove the send, click on the send and select "no send". It will remove that send on all selected tracks.
Hey!! Thank you for your help please save meeeee I accidentally deleted my presets for my audio tune and I can’t mix it back !!! How do I copy a recordings presets so I can hear it threw my mic ? If you could help I would cry thank you so much!
but is there a way to paste the plugins and keep the plugins that are already on the track? pasting automatically removes any plugins that were already on the track :(

super helpful!
Is there a way to copy just 1 bus send if you have 2 bus sends in the channel? . Actually Yesterday I was trying to do it and I couldn't find the way.

🤯 this is awesome! I always drag and drop each plugin 🤦♂️
Awesome
Gracias 👍🎹

Now i feel like a dummy for option-dragging for so long🤦♂️
