I just love your husband in the background! I made the beef udon noodles and my husband couldn’t stop saying “sooooo good”! Thank you from Texas for sharing these yummy and quick recipes. 😊
Wow! Thank you for all the Udon recipes! I will definitely try to make some of these soon! Also, thank you for the trivia/info tidbits from your husband. He is entertaining. It's nice to have him involved in your videos!
I’ve been eating strength noodles without knowing the name for a long time. It’s delicious! It is a bit strongly flavored, but since there are few ingredients, you need the stronger soup. I get my eggs from friends who have chicken friends, so I’m not worried about eating raw yolks at all, and they are so good. They add a creaminess and rich flavor to the noodles, so I highly recommend adding them if it is safe to do so.
Oh! That's great you can get fresh egg. Yea, eating raw egg with udon is soooo good! and very popular in Japan. I'm so glad you liked it 😊 Thank you so much for watching many of my videos!! Have a great day!
They all looks so good, I already tried many of your recipes and they all taste really good, your explanation is always simple and clear, I really want to visit Japan again the first time I visited we went to Osaka because I really wanted to see Osaka castle, they have so many restaurants there, the udon they have around there is sooo good, next time I want to visit Shibuya in Tokyo, they have so many places to see and different foods to eat, thank you very much for sharing your videos and culture with us, I love Japan ありがとうございます さやかさん

Thank you for giving so many options. Udon is such a simple dish to make, but I have only been making it one way. Now I have several ways to make it. Thanks
Thank you for sharing these recipes I can’t wait to try them. Udon is my most favorite noodle. Would you do a video on the different types of miso? I really enjoy your videos. Love from Canada 🇨🇦
LOL @ hubby waiting for his beef snack. I actually don't eat a lot of beef, but enjoy pork and chicken. And seafood as long as it's cooked I first tried udon noodles a few years ago, but found I didn't really like the texture. Then I saw all these videos of a guy going around a bunch of Japanese restaurants and saying how yummy udon was. So I tried it again. I like the dried version better than the already cooked one. I live just outside a large city and am looking forward to visiting some Asian grocery stores again once the weather improves. Our local grocery stores are improving on getting in more Asian foods, but it's better in the city to get some stuff.
Thank you for your comment! Yes, he seems really happy when I cook with beef. I hope you will try the udon again and find it delicious! I also hope to publish a new recipe for udon 😊
Sesame seeds are pretty easy to get even in a regular grocery here. They always have that and soy sauce. And we only have two types of Swiss roll, chocolate or strawberry
To answer your Husband, we also eat beef here in America but the cut is different (e.g. sirloin steak, ground beef, brisket, etc.) We also eat, chicken and it's less expensive and more popular
I love the wood/bamboo tray that you put the cold udon noodles on. I can’t find them. Do they have a name so I can search? Thank you for these delicious recipes.
Thank you so much!! About the tray, I think you can search with "bamboo tray japan". I think you can buy it from here too. amzn.to/3hEsYar You can choose either round type or square type!
I love those thick chewy udon noodles but the only time I've bought those precooked ones they tasted like plastic and playdough so I feel very reticent to try again. They don't sell the frozen kind where I live

what to use if I can't use sake or mirin?
You can skip sake, and use a little bit of sugar for mirin.
What kind of beef do you use?
It is made from thinly sliced beef thighs!
I love those thick chewy udon noodles but the only time I've bought those precooked ones they tasted like plastic and playdough so I feel very reticent to try again. They don't sell the frozen kind where I live
That's a shame... Hope you can find good udon noodles somewhere!!
