- Onboard a 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Black Ray. Motorcycle POV ride through a backroad. This is part of Royal Enfield's 648cc modern classics range, alongside the Continental GT 650 cafe racer. I'm running the stock exhaust, with its classic motorcycle note. Pure motorcycle ASMR, best enjoyed with headphones.

Thanks. It's not too bad, at least in the summer. This'll be the first winter with it 😆. At the moment I give it a proper wash about once a month. In the winter, you have to wash it more often to get the salt out (otherwise it'll rust the bike away).

Very good video. I'm thinking about getting a Continental GT. But I still don't understand the difference between these bikes.
Very little apart from ride position, tank shape and handlebars
Interceptor has a more casual riding position while the continental gt has a more committed riding position. And the tank shape is different but that's about it

Under the skin they're pretty much the same. I'd say the Interceptor is a lot more forgiving for longer rides and difference sizes of riders. I test rode the Conti before the Interceptor and found my knees couldn't fit into the tuck of the tank. So the corner of it was just digging into my knees. Because I couldn't tuck my knees in properly, I had a lot more weight on my wrists (which were starting to feel it after 45 mins).
If you are considering the Continent GT, I'd say make sure to test ride it before you buy. That's an absolute must imo. If you can test ride the Interceptor as well then it would really highlight the difference.
As far as body positioning on the bike, think of it like this. For the Conti, you ankles will be pushed back behind your hip, for the Interceptor, it'll be infront of your hip. And you won't be leaning onto the handlebar as much with the Interceptor.

@@UnspokenMoto i just got myself an Interceptor 650 in Sunset Strip color. Thought about changing the exhaust to a louder ones. Guess stock is not so bad anyway in this video.
