- Cruising through the Cairngorms, Scotland, on a 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Black Ray. This is part of Royal Enfield's 648cc modern classics range, alongside the Continental GT 650 cafe racer. I'm running the stock exhaust with it's raw, powerful and classic motorcycle note. Pure motorcycle ASMR, best enjoyed with headphones.

That's gotta be the most beautiful scenic ride I've seen in a while. I can almost feel the freshness of the air through my phone. Stopping in those charming towns, sipping a coffee in mildly chilly weather. That's life man.

Exactly. The look works really well on here with the alloys. Plus being tubeless, lots of confidence on longer road trips that it can be easily fixed.

This is hands down the most good looking bike (period). Its got just the right amount of chrome. I'm dead set on an interceptor, but I'm looking to buy a lightly used one here in Aus. As someone who is just wanting to get back into riding, I dont think I can justify buying a new one. But the look of this bike is pulling me towards it. I also think the bike would look awesome in all black with a Baker Express tank.
Great videos. Do you mind me asking what camera are you using? The filed of view looks wider than most action cams I've seen. My guess is one of the insta360s?
Thanks! Honestly, it always puts a smile on face when I take the cover off. It only gets bigger as I ride, even if it's just to the shops 😄. Royal Enfield knocked it outta the park with this one. Just the right blend of classic with subtle modern comforts. The Baker Express tank would actually be really good on here too. It's the right dash of colour. The black coating is also a bonus here over the winter, protecting from rust etc. I highly recommend this bike. When I got mine the Black Ray had just been released so none on the used market. I don't know about Australia, but here there are lots of Interceptors on the used market although still not many from the 2023 range.
Camera wise, I shoot with a DJI Osmo Action 3 (settings info in the description). It's funny you noticed about the field of view, that's one thing that always annoyed me about other videos so I specifically looked for the best one with the widest available view. The Insta360s are good too, more bulky though and I think the DJI would be better in low light as well. I think GoPro do a 'max' mod for their camera that gives it wider field of view as well.
@@UnspokenMoto Thanks for responding. I'm yet to see an Inty on road here in Australia. There are just a handful listed for sale around my area. Of course, the ray black wont be available in the used market anytime soon. I meant to say that the look of this bike is pulling me towards buying a new one. And there is the additional peace of mind of tubeless tyres.
Thanks for the camera deets too. I think using the CPL makes the colours pop in your videos. If you're colour grading them, then you're secret sauce is working well. Keep doing what you're doing. Good luck.

@@UnspokenMoto got myself a ligtly used inty with less than 2k kms on the odo. Its the black chrome one. So totally opposite to the black ray..lol. Absolutely loving it. Might get a video or two together soon.

Bro, I got Black Ray, just last year the moment it launched. I feels like a perfect bike. Have ridden it 600 KM non stop once and still loved it.

Yeah, I've seen at least one example of each 2023 model in our showrooms here. The bikes all look great and finishing is even improved. And you too! Enjoy 😉👍

I Love this model black ray. But in Brazil we did'nt received yet. I will waiting for it. I think that i will buy a meteor 350 for this current moment.
Yeah, they seem to be pretty slow to getting them out. I haven't tried the RE 350s, but from my experiences of their 650s, I'm sure it'll be a good choice. I've heard good things about the Meteor 350.

Congrats! I've ridden the Super Meteor on a test ride once before, it was really good. What spec are you going for? Almost got it instead of the Interceptor. It would be interesting to see what it's like in comparison, now that I've owned the Interceptor 650.

It's the same as the Super Meteor. The 2023 650s have the updated switchgear.

I have classic 500 2018 and planning to upgrade, what do you think bro..should i go for int or continental gt, i know both r different but i had my eyes on continental since i got my classic 500 but int black ray is just gorgeous and resembles my stealth black 500
Niice! Either of the 650s would be a very good choice. I went for the Interceptor because I'm a bit tall and planned on doing trips for multiple days. How tall are you? I test rode both and was sadly just too big the Conti. I find the Interceptor is more accommodating. If I were under 6ft and planned on using it mostly for fun/shorter trips (less than a day), I'd probably would have gone for the Continental GT tbh 😄
And that Black Ray looks even better in person! I was convinced as soon as I saw it.
@@UnspokenMoto I'm 5'9 but my inseem is long for that height, I can flat foot adv bikes when other people with my height can't.. rocker red gt or black Ray int are what I'm after rn..
Hello! Nice video. I also have my Black Ray for about 2 months. Really good bike. First of all I installed safety bars and after a few weeks touring seat from Continental GT. For more or less long rides it's much better than the stock one. Good luck!

Does the stock exhaust pop, or is it just the intake noise which is heard louder in the video.
No, it doesn't pop. It just sounds quite throaty from the overrun.
Did you have to move everything inwards to get the bar end mirrors on? Which mirrors did you choose, they look great
Not really, the bar ends that come with the mirrors take care of giving you that extra space for the mirrors. Got them from Hitchcocks Motorcycles, specifically the ones with the Interceptor 650 ends. Due to the way the bar ends of the Int/Conti are, universal bar ends don't really work well.

i have the same bike and due to the alloys that they guve for two varients it does not wobble
