The story alone earned a thumbs up
Would be cool to make bird houses using that style. I could imagine what people think about seeing little coffins around the yard.
Steve, I have to say...I am a wanna' be wood-worker and I absolutely love your presentations...[you really should find an agent]! Either you have a natural gift or you have a really great coach. In either case, your videos continue to get increasingly better! You have a wonderful sense of humor and I actually look forward to your new additions; whether I try them or not, you are great! I would definitely like to have a beer with you when next I am in the San Fransisco area!
I feel cheated. All that setup for the joke and it didn't end in a Micro Jig plug?
Awesome stuff! I've been a closet watcher of your videos for years! Just saw your pitch for Suppable and the wife was on me like white on rice "You better pay him!" So from a military woodworker in South Korea my thanks for all the great stuff you put out there for us!
Last year my wife and I stopped off in SF for 3 days was freezing after driving up the coast to Vegas we went back to SF was Great Weather love every minute of it even with the cold weather can not wait to return the sence of humor is very specail to SF it comes out in all your Vids
Oh Steve dont ever change my friend. You really brighten my days.
Best regards
David
I like the rustic imperfect look of pallet projects. Sinister. Thanks for not making the story too scary! :-)
Oh, I am so makin' this tomorrow. I have two pallets my landlord left in the yard from re-doing the roof last weekend. Thanks, Steve!!
The background music just gets better and better. Cool coffin btw.
Hello Steve Ramsey, I'm from Brazil and every video I see I am convinced that your own words to believe that wood is for everyone I also believe, learn a lot and that's what we need creativity. thank you
شكرا!
Thumbs up for the scrap wood. I love the stuff, especially when I can get it for free. Awesome project by the way.
Again, you will be the best grandpa ever!!!
50 thousand comedians out of work, and here comes steve
I love this story, whenever I come back to watch some old Halloween videos from you I always watch that part too, the presentation is so good and even though I know the end it just gets me laughing every time :)
what a cool idea. I have plenty of pallet wood that would be perfect for this. Thank you, Steve, for another great video. Oh, the story of Mr. Jackson had me going at first.
He got better!
Excellent story.
Great execution. You're a born storyteller.
I will make a bigger coffin and give it to my mother-in-law. Thanks for the idea!
I just made that coffin for my wife. It was a fun project thanks for sharing.
Turned out cool. I liked the simplicity of it.
Steve ,I am from china ,there are lots of your fans

Steve Ramsey your a great man, I have a computer in garage and will see your vids for my projects.. I just wanna say thanks.
Steve Mr. TheNormndee person couldn't have said it any better. Always looking forward to your videos, and if im in your area someday I to would drink a beer with you. Heck I'll even let my wife buy...lol
Ok. So I'm left in suspense. Did he have anything for his cough? :)
Cool project. And I liked the dub step.
FYI... remove the hinges, glue everything together, cut a round hole in front or back... voila... you have a guitar body. love the project. looks great!
Yes, every year. Here's my first one from 2009: watch?v=scI0RWtLH7w
That is my favorite Halloween story now.
The fact that the links still work years later is just amazing, thanks you.
Neat project! If you ever have the pattern paper stuck to the wood, wipe it with a bit of mineral spirits and it will lift right off. It will weaken the spray adhesive too and make it easier to sand off ;-)
Nice little project Steve. Liked the music also. I'm over here tripping out with your story and in suspense when coffin was sliding from top of hill down to building and then the end quote LOL. Tooooo funny. Thanks for that =P have a good weekend!
great story lol, i actually live in san francisco so it made the story even better
Steve, you are a fair-dinkum nut-case so, why do I enjoy your stuff so much?
This would make a great novelty container for a geocache. I'm picturing it out in the bush beside a scale sized tombstone.. :D Thanks for the idea.
My son loved your story!
Oh dear,,, what nightmares this makes me see,,, "spooky" perhaps? Thanks for the videos and good night.
That story was hilarious nice vid
Thanks for the inspiration,I've just had to make a coffin shaped tool box,and it looks very like yours. Thanks again, keep up the great work !!! :)
No, just joking. I love Steve, I'm just trying to have fun and say I think he is funny with a halloween spirit!
Also noticed that you are at 131,000 subs. Two months ago you were at 100,000 impressive. nice work.

I suggest you write a book consists of your ideas and concerate on the tricks you do. Iam sure it will be the best selling woodworking book.

Hey Steve! Happy Halloween from Sunny South Africa (where we are not really into Halloween at all, but we at least get the concept).
Oh bloody hell - I have wanted to compliment you on your videos a while back, but this specific coffin/coughin' video of yours now has me recovering from laughing so hard, I got coffee down the wrong hole.
Man - you're good. You are the man! I enjoy your videos tremendously. Not only because you make it fun, but humorous as well! Have a good one Steve!
Here to watch all the Halloween videos, awesome stuff
the chop saw aka the best invention.

jesus alvarez this should have more likes by now
Framed picture of The Hass in the background, lol too funny
Hey Steve... great viddie,
You keep getting better and better. lol
Love the mood lighting...
cheers, Barry.
Thanks. I'm going to do it with my kids today.
HA! good story. best part is that living in SF, all of that was accurate.
Steve be dub-steppin.
Oh, Steve! Missed opportunity, dude! Should have called this episode "Woodworking for Post Mortems"
This project is perfect to add some "animation". What about putting a plastic skeleton inside the coffin and adding some mechanism to rise it when opening the cover?
You can also make this a jewelry box by cutting out some slots and attaching them inside the box
Awesome video. One of my favorite times of year
It blends well with the power tools...
That would be fun to have in my room just so i can spook my parents a bit :D
Fun project, Good story. Keep up the good work. Greetings from Norway
For adult candy, i.e. wine bottles, it would also work as a gift case for a halloween party.
Perfect idea for a candy bowl!
THAT SCARY STORY WAS HALLARIOUS SO TELLING THAT TO MY FREINDS!!!!
Cool story. Cool project. Thanks Steve
This is definitely on my to do list
Nice video, love the story to start it out.
Thanks for the video Steve. Good work. My nephew and his friends rely enjoy his cajon, Thanks for the video on that. I wonder if you might ever build a boat? Perhaps a canoe.
Eric
Use a blow torch to evenly heat the whole thing and then dunk one side (not hinge side, but half the hinge with it in the middle) into ice water to cause uneven cooling and it will deform. Mechanical bending will probably make it look visibly deformed, but that may not be a big deal either.
Perfectly timed seasonal project. Somehow I'm seeing a wooden turkey for Thanksgiving! LOL!
Woodworking needs more bass drops!
Great job Steve keep up the awesome work
It's not the cough that carries you off, but the coffin they carry you of in.
Great story, great coffin! Happy Halloween, Steve :)
If I remember right, for real coffins in the past and today are attached on the inside of the coffin to make it look more uniform.
dat bass ! and that joke ! ouff ! :)
You had me hook, line and sinker all the way to the end of that story. I almost started looking it up in the Chronicle archives. LOL! Your project reminded me of the song Trou Macacq by the Squirrel Nut Zippers. I reckon Mr. Jackson took his pine box ride, huh?
Love the project - very cool, but I had to watch the vid with a friend, 'cuz I wuz skeeered!
I'm from San Francisco, the story made me laugh
I showed this to my wife & she went nuts, she's having me make one once I get my workshop setup
Stay close to the facts. I learned that from Reservoir Dogs.

aww man, this just made my day... the wife wants one for treats on halloween... then it will hold all my art supplies/paint brushes.
DUDE ! david hasselhoff in the background ! XD

Ikr

Best business to be in: selling sweatshirts to SF tourists who don't realize how cold the City is in the summer!
