The most important thing is your happiness and well-being, but if you manage to have time and desire for the course, I think many of us will very happy, as other courses on the internet are far from your quality. I wish you all the best professionally and personally. You're a very sweet teacher and many of us spent many hours following your routines. she makes it look so easy this is really astonishing. I have a question. How important is flexibiity? i am not very flexible, i cannot put the straddle as wide as she does it in the video, not even near to her straddle split.

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  4 роки тому

      Hiya, flexibility is a huge help. If your hamstrings are tight you need to kick harder and make sure you round your back even more because your body will want to compensate by sticking the chest out. I see many people in my classes mastering the kick up with limited mobility. For a btter straddle you may like this: Straddle stretches

    hello good morning .. first thank you for this video and the time you dedicate to us all. It is a good level and I like the challenge, I am very interested in continuing and being able to give continuity to the practice. today I started and it really is not easy. my two arms are not equal is easier on one side than on the other, and I can only reach up to support the five fingers to one side ..... how long will it take me? I hope I can achieve it before Christmas.
    I really like your technique and your way of teaching, you have it clear oo siiiii ...
    greetings and good day ... abrasoles

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  6 років тому +1

      Hi Alexander, thank you. That sounds great. Yes it is quite challenging. It's normal that one arm is stronger than the other. Give yourself a bit more time then until Christmas. I usually tell people who want to learn a one arm handstand that 6 months up to a year is a realistic time frame. Keep working and it will pay off.

    • @terjeoseberg990
      @terjeoseberg990 6 років тому

      Were you able to do it by Christmas? I'd say you should exercise your weaker arm/hand until it's the same strength as the stronger one.

    hi natalie, i have problem with balance keeping straddle form during shifting weight, I feel like my core/ lower back was not strong enough to catch it because i tend to fall backward. However, I trained my lower back/core daily and i have to admit it is strong already, still dont know how to balance handstand with straddle form (my feeling was like my hip always way to far that keeps me falling while personally cannot pull it back during balance). It weirdly feels much different from normal handstand while I can control my stomach towards spine

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  3 роки тому +1

      My guess is that your straddle flexibility is not great, so your legs are too piked (too much to the front) and to compensate you need to bumb the hips quite far back.

    Hi Miss Natalie. Your video is fantastic !!!.Btw Idk if i'm asking too much, but can you plz make a video about how to have a better toe point in handstand ? My toe point is still pretty bad when in inversion position. If u do i thank you very much :D

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  6 років тому +1

      Hi Edgar, thank you very much! Interesting! Yes I will try to make one :) toe pointing is indeed not unimportant for body awareness.

    Hello Nat, I really appreciate you for providing this vid.
    However, my torso keep rotating as soon as I shift body weight and take off my supporting hand. Any advice on this?? I have no idea what is problem.

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  5 років тому +1

      Hello, the rotation is a common problem, be patient it may take while to fix.
      Mainly you need more strength in your oblique abdominals.
      Depending on which direction you twist you can imaging that your hip and the opposite shoulder of the side you are twisting towards are connected, pulling together accros your front.

    hey, thanks for the tutorial. I have a question . You really have to be able to do splits to master the handstand one arm ? Because i cant do Split:/

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  5 років тому +1

      Hello Mohanad,
      No you don't have to do splits, you can also hold the one arm handstand with your legs in a V-shape or with your legs together.
      One arm handstands in a straddle is just one way of doing it.
      But I would recommend that you work on lower body mobility nonetheless, because it is useful and important for most physical tasks.
      Best wishes

    You need to be very strong for the one arm handstand ? You need push ups or something like that ? :)

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  6 років тому +2

      You need to have a good upper body strength and doing pushups is very useful. But it is the most important to actually practice the handstand shape and get a good technique. Cause you can see Im not exactly a hulk either ;) If you want to get super strong check my 7 seven week handstand course on Vimeo, it is very challenging and takes you through all the basics of handstand practice.
