I just bought it off my unc a d those breaks are deadly they try to stop last week. But u just pressed on them a little bit today scared the ish out of me. I can say I'd like more power but first gotta find the parts
@HobartsReviews For some reason caroma went and pulled a switch on the display for both the P1 and P2 scooters as they no longer come equipped with the display shown in this video. I recently misplaced my keys for my caroma P1 scooter and have to order a replacement set as a result.
I'm 5' 4" so I doubt the adjustable suspension seat would have much use to me. I'm elderly in my early 70s so shock absorbing features would be useful to me. I would use it for neighborhood driving on side streets no main highway travel except to cross over. Would this be recommend for me? The price is right.
Yeah for sure. It's small and easy to ride. You can put the seat real low for you. The acceleration is not to fast and top speed is not too fast. Perfect for neighborhoods! Don't forget to use my link to buy 😉
I'm a little over 200lbs and this would work except for the steep driveway. They may have put out a more powerful model since I made this video. Are you looking for something like this or to stand up or what? There's lots of options. I got lots of videos on a bunch of different stuff.
@@HobartsReviews Thank you for responding. I just returned a 800w iX3 stand up scooter for two reasons: I had to push it up my steep dirt driveway, and two, once while going down-the tires locked up as if I instantaneously and aggressively put on both brakes. Obviously it sent me flying forward across the dirt and gravel. I'm an experienced biker from way back and I know what road rash is, which this demonstrated not-so-nicely. Due to my experience I'm a little cautious about another stand up unit, but still willing to try. Anyway, since I'm not getting any younger I'm open to just about anything that would work within (financial) reason.
Hey looks like this is the 350 watt motor version. The name of the listing is the same for all versions but the pictures tell you what size motor it is. The 500 watt (800peak) motor is a bit more and then they have a 1200 watt for even more
You're incorrect. This is the 500 w version with the 800 w peak. The other version is 750 w motor with 1200 Peak. The peak doesn't make any difference. It's just a way for them to market it and make it sound like it's more powerful. So they have a 500 w version and a 750w version? That's it. This one is the 500 w version.
Mechanical disc brakes on scooters and bikes have a tendency for the caliper to loosen in its mount. This is about the fifth time I have seen it on electtric bikes. A good ride safety protocol would include ALWAYS CHECKING THE CALIPERS FOR TIGHT MOUNTING BEFORE RIDING. It only takes a few seconds and few tugs on the mounting screws (usually with an allen wrench.

What scooter would you recommend for weather such as rain or snow to ride in, I know it’s not a preferable thing but as my only form of transportation I got no options. Plus what one would have solid tires?
That's a tough one. Not sure if any are recommended in rain or snow but look for one with off road tires which will have more grip in the rain and snow. Also don't push it too hard and you should be fine. But I don't recommend it.. haha

Can anyone tell me what size replacement brake pads are needed for a Caroma Peak 819W Electric Scooter with Seat, 14" Tire Electric Scooters for Adults, 48V Battery? Caroma has NO Customer Service number for help. Very disappointing.
Do we have to sit on it with balance, I mean, I don't know how to ride a bike, so do I have to learn first, or would this bike be auto adjustable? I purchased it
Yes but it’s way easier to ride a scooter than a bike ! I cannot ride a bike but have always done fairly well with scooters. Being seated is also easier to balance
Shipping was fine. Box came undamaged and the bike was secured inside with foam and other dunnage. I'm 5'11 and with the adjustable seat version I was okay. There was still a little bit more seat height that I could add so it should be okay for your son. I would stay away from the fixed seat seat version though because that seat is much lower than the adjustable seat. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any more questions!
Chargeable? Of course. How else would you ride it? Yes the battery is in the deck and you charge it on the side of the deck where the charge port is. 👍

Talk to them ,tell them about the throttle, they'll have the seller contact you and the seller will send youba new one. Apparently it's not rare for this to happen. Uncommon ,but not rare. They offer a 12 month warranty too, just for buying the product. So ,you should be good to get a new one if the scooter was bought recently.
