I use slick connect and univalve, I would never go back to the old ways, before I had the slick connect my connectors were popping off 5 times a day or getting caught on stuff, it's a true quality product, never again do I have to tape a valve to my pole again hell no 🤣🤣🤣 and as for the univalve, switch on when you pull the hose out, yes it does occasionally, only for a second.
    Hope this helps lads 👌

I use slick connect best thing for controlling water off and on by far . I do have to say when things are new all great till everything gets older then you get the problems . Leaking this and that . Just glad I'm not on the ladder anymore 😎

All looks very posh and expensive... But where do you keep your ladders for going over gates.Climbing on flat roofs.
How about when the hose gets snagged on Rose bushes, plant pots, and everything else thats on customers patios. The uni valve will be on off on off.. Or squirting water all over that birds face.! 😋

So I'd like to have the hose reel but was told that my van insurance is void if I leave the doors open and anything happens. Any remedies?

Either van ports or if you want to use a powered house real you can use the HD security guides from water works. This allows you to have water with van doors shut and locked, HD security guides cost about £150ish and this is without fitting and van ports are around £100ish. Hope this helps you Peter!

Just think what you would have got from the pretty blonde, if you'd had an Extreme pole 😉

Gimmicky gadgets you don't need if your set up & work right. I have mounted reel on top of tank frame side opening door not rear doors like in vid only to get caught between. As for that conector, you hold the shut off tap when you walk with the hose around. Rarely do I get caught on anything .....wheelie bins if anything.
The feed hose from the pole is left connected and gets wound on my reel so no kinks or a bundled mess.
The only time saving thing I see in that vid is the van.......could do with a new one.

Not sure which one of these products are gimmicks? Each one will give you a saving in one area or more, water, time, energy....reminds me when someone once said ‘I haven’t got time to use a computer, I’ve got all these invoices to write’.

You must be in sales. I don't see anything there with any worthwhile advantage. In fact in certain areas less so. I'd be surprised if any window cleaner worked like that, or not got the common sense to make life easier for themselves. Having said that, I still see some with 100 foot hose reels on the pavement.
By the time your man has uncoiled his neatly wound feed line and connected everything up, I'm down the drive approaching my first window. Water saving, tap at the hip works just fine. Energy ...well you got me there..but my manual wind does have 3 gears...depending on my mood and make me smile with every wind to think I've saved 400 quid on a motorized one.
Nice talking to ya...must go now.. got invoices to e-mail !

Kel On Tour I’ll be honest mate, the electric reels and the uni valve are very good. The slick connects aren’t great though and the internal hose connectors are personal preference.
