Michelle, you are such a lovely, positive, young woman. It's no surprise that you are such a social butterfly and are friends with so many people! I love that you take us along to all of these fab events and I'm a bit envious that you have such great access to so many of these well loved vendors and their products. I live 7 hours north of NYC and our area is severely lacking in events and even fabric stores. So for quality products, I tend to order most of them from English companies. But I did notice one of your friends wearing the beautiful Soliflore dress by Maison Fauve in their stunning fabric. I just found this company and am about to use the same fabric for their Cicadella blouse. Fabulous video. Thanks so much!

I was so pleased to take you along 😁 yes I suppose with the UK being quite small it is easier to reach these sort of events, let’s hope something comes nearer your way at some point 🤞 yes the soliflore dress is beautiful Cara and the ladies running the stand were wearing it and it looked amazing in the different fabrics 🤩 x
Online, if I see something I like it goes into my basket. Then I edit it down substantially. Those cat buttons were cute.

Great insight into what looked to be a wonderful day ! Hoping to go the Harrogate show in November so great to get a bit of preview of what to expect. Loved the boys sew too catwalk - what great fun ! Loved your purchases and look forward to seeing them made up.

Me too. I loved the video thanks Michelle.😊 It did make me feel lacking in sewing pals though. England seems to be a social hub for sewing - no doubt thanks to the GBSB. We are still waiting on access to Season 8 here in Australia on Britbox😯.

Great video Michelle. You had a lovely trip. Have a look at the itch to stitch cardigan as it will suit that last fabric. It can be cropped or longer but looks like a little jacket when it’s made up. I didn’t put buttonholes on mine but you can😊

Great video Michelle.! So happy to see the boys sew too catwalk. Would’ve loved to see some of the garments up close….what a variety of styles. 🤩. I haven’t been to a “local” show in quite some time but I don’t think ours here in the US compare to what you have there. Looks like so much fun was had by all .
The catwalk show was my least favourite part of the show but that was pretty much down to the sheer loud noise!
Yes the catwalk was great, I wish the walkway was longer to see them more too. It was so packed around the catwalk which was so nice to see and for us to appreciate men’s wear x

Ah thank you! Yeah I need a batwing jumper and I love that the itch to stitch one has the shoulder panel optional detail as well 😁

It was so lovely to meet you! I’m sorry if I interrupted your chat at the time, but I just had to say hello! It really was a fab day, wasn’t it? I was very restrained (only two fabrics, two sets of buttons, two packs of needles, two patterns and a pack of elastic!) but it would’ve been so easy to get more carried away. And I even forgot to get some labels!
Wonderful video as always (although it was a shock to see just how pink my hair looks on screen 😂) and already looking forward to the next one xx

I am so so jealous of all you lucky ladies who get to go to all the wonderful fabric shows. I know of nowhere in the United States that have them. What was the shop that had all the cute animals to sew?
Hi Christine- if you google the Original Sewing & Quilt expo there are quite a few events for next year- mostly along eastern US GA, FL, OH,LA, TX,VA,MI. I don’t think they’d compare to the shows in the UK but still have a variety of classes and vendors. Good luck.
Ah yes we are very lucky here in the UK as everything is only ever a few hours travel away. I hope you have something near you at some point 🤞 x

HI michelle noticed you where wearing the vienne dress you looked very nice in it did you have to change your size at all i am making it but i find its turning out quite big i went by my bust size just wondered what you thought about the sizing x
I went with my bust size and I found it to fit nicely on the bodice, however I prefer the look with a belt to cinch in the waist slightly as I left my elastic quite loose, the sleeve head was also a little tricky so take your time on that x

Thanks for sharing Michelle, I went on the Sunday which was quieter on the whole. It was the first time that we had to use public transport as there wasn’t a coach trip organised near us which was a shame. 🍓🧶💙🌈
