The LokoHelp is an electromechanical gait trainer, based on the "end effector" principle. The mechanical support for stance and swing leg phase takes place on the feet as the last element of the kinematic chain. The patient should not be moved passively, but he should actively participate as possible. Knee and hip extension should ideally be controlled at possibility by the patient himself.
LokoHelp is an easy to learn therapy device that offers intensive training while being time efficient. Requiring only a short preparation time, a patient has longer duration of treatment while offering the therapist has more freedom to focus on patient’s treatment.
