@@davidellinsworth3299 I’ve read the same but I’m not sure if it’s true. Tim has played with so many great musicians over the years and has toured with Pink Floyd as well as Roger Waters. I’ve also read that David appreciated Tims work and just wanted to let him have his moments on the tour by letting him take one of the “non emotional” solos. I have seen PF 3 times and once on this particular tour. I've seen hundreds of shows but the PF one's are the best of the bunch with the Pulse tour taking the cake. Once in a lifetime is right!
And here´s another one that´s perfect for the two of you: "David Gilmour - Coming Back to Life (In Concert)" - please look exactly for this version, Gilmour acoustic, girl-choir behind him. Sensation.
You were talking about the money, David said in an interview once that after all the crew & everyone was paid they barely broke even. He said “we made a little, but it was never about the money anyway, and I’ll end up donating my share.. so that’s that”
Lovey lovey reaction guys!!! Especially from you Dominica!! I can see this gave you uplifting energy listening to the magical gymnastics of our beloved friend Dave Gilmour’s tonsils and fingers!!! Not to mention the breathtaking genius lighting!!! Please please please react to “Coming back to life” at Pompeii!!! Please guys!!
I love every one of your Pink Floyd reactions! You two are a treat to watch, especially in how you interact with each other. Keep them coming! I have a feeling the song in question at the end of the video is Money. I could be wrong, it's just the sense I get.
It's so much fun seeing your reactions to PF. I love how you've gotten more into them with each song you listen to. I'm a huge fan and also have a song that I'm not crazy about. I wonder if it's the same as yours 🙂

Oh, love your reactions to the greatest band of all time. I can't wait to see you react to the live 1987 version of "On the turning away". You two have that enormous capacity to let yourselves free, to allow music to take you were it was meant to be. How you bare your soul and connect the way very few can. I'm looking forward to that day.
I waslucky enough to see them at this venue on the Pulse tour, half way back up on the left hand side, truly amazing, and then as a surprise to me again the next night, this time right in the middle 3rd row from the front, my god what an experience, every song took the breath away, people sat open mouthed and stunned by what they were experiencing, and DSOTM in its entirity too, best night ever!!
Dave is a fixed wing pilot and Nick is a rotary wing pilot (helicopter). Nick,s recorded doing the aircraft check flow in the middle part of the song. Nice reaction as always 😊.
All the supporting musicians for Pulse (and Pink Floyd's previous tours) are top notch, and Tim Renwick's solo is just one example. Pulse is the crowning achievement in live concerts, and this is coming from a live Genesis fan. It doesn't get better than this. That doesn't mean their previous live shows are not good--The Delicate Sound of Thunder, for instance, is brilliant. But I'm loving watching you react to PF (and others too)!
Watching the Pulse concert and watching your reaction elevated my regard for Learning to Fly. As a casual listener back when this released, one who listened to music mostly on the car radio commuting to and from work, I thought it was good but not great, kind of like they mailed it in. I never paid much attention really.
I saw Pink Floyd twice on this tour and I've seen a ton of concerts since then and I've only had ONE concert that topped it and that was Roger Waters touring The Wall. The 3D image technology Waters' had was just superior, as it should be since it was years after this 1994 Pink Floyd tour. Even with that said, after almost 30 years this concert is still a technological marvel that beats almost any concert that you will see today! That just shows how advanced Pink Floyd's music and concerts were! Think about a cell phone from 1994 compared to a cell phone today, now compare this concert to a concert you may see today... Mind blowing!
You both need to listen to David's solo album "On an Island" in its entirety. As amazing as his work on all the classic Floyd albums is, this album is even better. It captures a moment in David's life when he was at his most creative, peaceful and expressive. Whether or not you react to it, you will both greatly appreciate it...trust me.
They spend like 2 million on the laser show etc. That young drummer was amazing. I've never seen so many drums. This has been my favorite band since I was 17. I spent 4 years in Europe and I never saw them in concert. Why? Why? Why? I'm kicking myself. One of my top regrets.

Dave said on his last tour that playing in these small historical places he plays better . Pompeii I think was it because of 43 yrs ago and his last tour. also the only person to play twice since 79 AD. *****
The pilot’s voice is Nick Mason making his landing approach. Both he and Dave Gilmour were learning to fly. It also signifies the end of Roger Waters involvement with the band and they are flying on with their own creativity. Hence the uplifting sense, that post-divorce relief.

For some, it wasn't enough to be introspective, it had to have that negativity too and for some, it was just a purist perspective on the band as a whole, that without Waters, Pink Floyd isn't Pink Floyd...oddly enough those same people don't seem to mind a departure of Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd and still retain their qualifications as being Pink Floyd, so their logic and reasoning is hypercritical of their position, but then people who hold to such purists thinking haven't ever been cited for their great rationale or righteousness.
Wonderful reaction, as always. You're quite right that the song can mean any kind of new start in life. Gilmour said it was partly literally about learning to fly airplanes, which he and Nick both did (Gilmour owned quite a few planes at one time, but later sold all except his favorite biplane, I think), but it was also about taking over as the leader of Pink Floyd, putting out the first album since Roger left, and directing the tours, all of which were a heavy burden and required "learning to fly". (IMO, that's one big reason why PF ended after Division Bell - the Pulse tour was nerve wracking because of the complexity and the amount of money at stake, which was more of a burden than Gilmour wanted to shoulder again. Post-Roger Waters. I loved this album when I was a teen in the late 80s. But it was just another rock album in the end, frankly, in 1987. It had a lot of rivals that year too - perhaps better ones (Hysteria? Slippery When Wet?). It was not a Pink Floyd work of art. It lacked Waters' poetry, vision, depth, texture and courage. That's why this is the greatest concert ever recorded 😊
Tim Renwick played the guitar solo on this song and was marvellous.
It's a sign of Gilmour's lack of star ego that he is happy for Tim to take the solo, he also plays the closing solo for ABITHWP2
