I've been living in Vancouver for 4 years now and I'm considering moving to Toronto. For me, Vancouver is simply too small and relaxed and I also prefer snow over rain
I'm thinking of moving to Vancouver. Is the rain really that bad? I heard it's only for 4 months
@@lnejavi It’s sunny every day from middle of June to middle of September and then for the rest of the year there is a lot of rain. I would say most of those rainy months are okay because it doesn’t rain every day and the rain is never heavy(it’s mostly drizzling rain) but January and February are really bad. During those 2 months it can rain absolutely every day
@@Joe-cy5hm So when people do the outdoorsy nature activities in Vancouver, is it mostly concentrated in the summer? I wonder if this contributes to why people think it's hard to make friends in Vancouver. I still want to see it for myself, but I'm just curious
@@lnejavi Yes, for the most part but there are people that do stuff even in bad weather. Most people only stick to skiing/snowboarding during winter so popular summer spots like Kitsilano beach or English bay are completely empty during that time

I moved to Toronto from Vancouver this year, Toronto is just much better than Vancouver in many many ways.
Sad part is Toronto home price is the same as Vancouver, some area even pricier than Van.

This will be me hopefully in a few years, I visited and while it does not have majestic mountains or ocean, all the things Toronto offers as well as the bigger/better/ festivals and events that Toronto offers as well as other amazing places in the GTA like Clifton hill which seems like an ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of Toronto once or twice a year. And yeah while homes are just as expensive, it it well worth the price and fulfilment to one day own in Toronto as well as fully enjoy what the city has to offer.

Both Toronto and Vancouver offer vibrant art scenes. Toronto boasts 32,000 artists and arts workers, with 1 in every 50 workers being a professional artist. Vancouver's arts community is thriving too, but I don't know specific numbers. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Good luck!

I'm from Toronto and my mom, my sister and my brother have all lived in Vancouver at one point in their lives for years and they really enjoyed their time there but ultimately ended moving back but I also want to experience living out west once in my life

Do you love the city, or do you love nature? To really appreciate Vancouver, you really have to love water sports, hiking, skiing, etc. If you hate all that stuff, go to Toronto. The city life in Vancouver is okay.. but if you're not taking advantage of the outdoors there, the city will get lame after a year.
the best city to live in is where you are the most content. toronto and vancouver are apples and oranges and they are both great.

I arrived a few days ago in Vancouver. I make a year work and trevel. My plan was to stay in Vancouver but it’s sooo expensive even a flat share l. So I Google where to live instead. I need a “city live” cuz that’s how I grew up 😅
On the Internet I saw Toronto is way more worth it or Calgary. So i looked on Craigslist and saw many good flats for a acceptable price in Toronto.

I've visited Hamilton for a music festival a few weeks ago and plan to attend another music/art fest there in 2 weeks - Hamilton is buzzing!
