Dude, you saved my backup camera and trunk light. A quick view of the last few minutes of your video was all I needed to validate my opinion that I had a short in my wring when my camera stopped working. I stripped the wire loom and electricians tape back and sure enough of the 8 or so wires all but two of them were either exposed or completely broken. Thirty minutes later I had added about 4 inches of wire, rewrapped them and everything was working perfectly once again. Thanks for the tip, and here's hoping you have a great 2019.
This was literally my problem. Had the dealer fixed it the first time. They just soldered the wires back together. This time I had another wire break. Went to Frys and bought a reel of wire, connectors, and electrical tape. 10 minutes and 5 bucks later, it's fixed.
Well, checked my wires and guess what??? Same shit. My wires were jacked up too. This should be a factory recall since it can potentially cause an electrical fire.

Thank you very much for this video. I recently purchased a used 2015 mustang ecoboost convertible premium (My first time ever in my life owning my first Ford vehicle. I've always loved the mustangs. The s550 design is impressive all the way around). Had it for three weeks now. Today my backup camera didn't work. I will definitely attempt to fix this on my own. Its seems fairly simple. I hope for my stang its just that simple fix, as it was for yours. Thank you so much again for this video.
I had the same problem, checked my harness, wires were all good, fuse was all good, so I was confused on what could be wrong. I saw a video of someone changing their camera settings from normal to delayed and I haven’t had a problem since
Lots of people have that factory issue FORD made a bad doo doo .. first camera and 3rd brake light then gas pump. now slow moving passenger window 👿 never buying Ford again
Bought my Vert yesterday and was already pissed about the rear view cam but THANK YOU !! Can’t stress that enough!! They told me $600 bucks for a few wires that I can easily go get for a few bucks and spend five minutes twisting
If your loom is already jacked/cut up then splice in about 6” of wire and create more slack in the loom. Ford created the same type of problem with the early Focus station wagons.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. This is my second problem coming from that wiring loom. Dealer just fixed my third brake light, the camera started acting up. This is probably an R&D issue with convertibles.
Mine says camera unavailable, contact dealer, but if I open the trunk it works, I already checked the wiring and everything looks good, any other suggestions?

Check the wires first I thought it was the camera at first and I bought it never used it still brand new in the box so I switch the camera and same didn’t work so I check were the wire went and yes the wires were split fix them and camera started working so I recommend to check those wires first 👍

After camera is fixed why would am/fm radio just put out static? Is antenna wire in the same harness?

Change the camera if everything else is good
You ever have a screen go white radio plays but screen stays white

Wow maybe when they install your amp the disconnect the wire that goes to your sensor maybe you wanna go back and let them know
