Thanks for this video! I've been dealing with intermittent issues for a while now. I'll be taking a peek at my wiring as you've shown. Keep being awesome!
My '18 F150 camera stopped working, i took the tailgate panel off and sprayed cleaner in the camera harness weather pack, but it looked clean, and then looking elsewhere i noticed the wires are completely severed right here, like here in video. I thought vandalism, but maybe this is common?
Yikes. Maybe it’s just you and me! Probably slim chance for a rock/debris to get to the wires, but since there are at least 2 of us, I’d say it needs better protection.
It’s the channel locks for loosening the battery clamp for me chief!
Thanks for the video but why didnt you unclip it and then solder
i had the same issue last year i removed the clips completely and hardwire together using Solder Seal Wire connectors and Heat Shrink Tubing

Thx for the video had the same problem I just took the old wire from the clip and put some new wire there and soldered it
Why wouldn't you unplug it to work on it easier?
FYI, New camera from Ford is $620 CDN, CHECKING wiring job one

I have this same problem. Do you have to disconnect the battery ? Great vid
Flux is your friend . . .
Disconnect the plug to make it easier to repair
One Purple is power
Good to know, thanks! The repair has worked so far. No more issues since I originally posted this.
