It's time to say welcome to the first long-term test motorcycle in our fleet: the 2020 BMW F900XR. It was unveiled by BMW at the EICMA in November 2019, and just arrived to the dealer networks. This is just the first video about this bike. And it's one of our favourite parts: the Unboxing. First ride coming soon.

Finally! What took BMW so long. This is on my short list for my next bike, and I value your assessment.
Love the enthusiasm!!! Keep er lit
How can you find unboxing a bike soooo enjoyable but it is! Great vid as always. Keep up the fantastic work
You say you love your job!! I LOVE YOUR JOB!! 😂 cheers from 🇨🇦
ohhhhh maaaaan I am so happy for you, you will have lo of fun, congrats!!!!!!
This was a cracking video man! This unboxing video makes you appreciate the bike more I think. Regardless of the bike. Super looking forward to seeing how this bike goes in your view ;)
great video as always guys. i ve seen all your videos so far. maybe a long term progress similar to how MCN is doing their long term catch ups will be very nice to see (including the first service, some of the things that might not work as they should in the process, etc). looking forward to see your next videos :)
Look forward to your review,thks.
Good job guys, you work hard and I hope you succeed with this channel. All you need to do is improve on interacting with your fans.
Sweet Ride Brother!!!!!! 👍🏼 😎 🌎
Congratulations ride safe👍
Have fun on that bike!
Nice idea the unboxing. I hope you enjoy the bike, it seems very funny.
amazing content
Great watch, lucky boy.
Lucky guys!
So Tracer 900 GT or new BMW F900 RX which one is better money for the value.
What's the top speed of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear up to red line (but not past)?
Almost could feel the smell! My suggestion is to compare it with the Multistrada 950. Have fun with it!
And with the Tracer 900. It will happen.
Nice vid! Can't wait to see what you think. They had one at my local dealer in CA and it's soooo comfy. BMW did a great job on the ergos IMO. Price they had was $12,700 USD which seems reasonable for the package
Cool guys 🏍😎👍
I’m very very interested in this bike, so I’m so glad to see you have it as a long term ride. It seems like the guided ride for the international launch was kept to slower speeds, so I’m curious to see a roll on from 100kmh to 160kmh, as well as handling in faster twisties. Maybe a short tour with a pillion as well and their perspective. Thanks guys, you continue to make great stuff!
Congratulations
Looking forward to A detailed comparo with Tiger 900..
Love your videos.. Lots n lots of Love from India!!
Feeling the love snorting the new bike and manual. 😆
Coolest. Video. Ever.
nice video
I might use one of those on my next European bike tour so very interested to hear your thoughts
Compared with Yamaha Tracer 900 GT, which one is better for average users with few years riding experience? Appreciate if you can do a group test (F900XR, Tracer 900 GT and Tiger 900 Pro GT) or give your opinion on that. You could give me a big help for I am seriously to get one of these middleweight sport touring bikes. Please note I don’t do off road riding.
Hi, good to see your new bike. However in many bikes you have reviewed what about triumph tiger 900 product. I confused whether bmw GS or Tiger 900 to buy. Please advise. Cheers
Any idea as to short rider, 5ft’9? Want to move away from my monster to this but fear the height
At 13.52 you can see how far the bike leans when on the side stand. I wonder how difficult it is to get to off the stand if it’s on a slope!
Hello guys, i did a test ride last week end i found a problem with the Front fork and It Is diving top much and It Is not adjustable... What do vu think of that issue? Thanx bye 😁
20th Century Rider hello. We found this problem on the F850GS, but this one seems to have a good set-up. Still have to ride this one, but after the ride at the international media launch, it felt just ok.
Bubble wrap is so much fun
He must be very annoying at Christmas, LOL.
Would love to hear comparison to 1000xr, as it's these 2 that I'm choosing from
im very love this type of revie. Take v strom 1050 plz )))
No heated seats??
is this one the lowered?
Cool 😎
What is your inside leg measurement please, as a reference?
Hi guys ! Was that the standard high ?
I really think that i would be really interested in a future F900 GS with 17-19 inches spoked tubeless wheels. BMW should do it next year to replace the “kind of boring” F750 GS.
I hear great things about the 2020 BMW F900XR. However, most prefer the "naked" F900R version.
Did I miss the price of this bike? Where are you planning to ride this one, Cristian? Thanks for the video guys.
Mişto :)
This is a not GS, so we excepting a nice mounting tarmac curves, best views and most of all your opinion about deferences between new S1000XR
Got it.
I think I like the base colour the most :) Not a lot bikes have silver wheels. Love the looks of this bike!
Me too, planing to add a black-tinted windscreen. Cristian
@@DriveMagRiders jes please! And in the future some good open exhaust
Hope you are going to trick it up with panniers and top box and see how it handles the extra weight .
Yes, that's our plan.
You received it directly from BMW or from a dealer? Never seen a journalist unbox their bike before. Who checks it before you get it?
Directly from BMW. They are checking it after the unboxing, and then it s ours
"give it to me". yes master.
You could leave it running in closed garage for a bit longer :), beautiful bike
Never seen any unboxing video like this before hahaha but I test rode it for a good 30 minutes, sounds amazing but speed capped at road limit of 90 sadly. Curious to know how it goes at fast speed. Sadly the small tank is the biggest disappointment for now.
Im riding 85-90% on asphalt & 10-15% on gravel roads & light dirt roads: should i buy this F900XR or a Tiger 900 GT ? If i put on the F900 XR : Pirelli Corsa scrambler tires MT60RS : maybe it could do the job.
Didn't try the Tiger yet - it will happen soon. But I wouldn't take the F900XR in off-road. Not even gravel and light dirt roads. Of course, you can do it, but it's no fun with those wheels and suspension.
DriveMag Riders : Thanks for your reply & opinion; its very appreciated.
@@DriveMagRiders what would be the limitation for riding on gravel as regards the suspension and wheels in your opinion?
In many countries you come across gravel/unmade roads in the course of ones travels. I don't quite understand the need for a 'specialised' dual purpose bike like an very tall, very heavy GS/GSA to handle such basic, everyday unmade roads.
Here in Australia, many own the GS/GSA, but don't actually take them off road, due expensive repairs if you inevitably drop it (which you will) and the difficulties in managing the weight solo in difficult true off road riding.
So, if one only rides mainly on bitumen, and for small distances on gravel roads (say to a campsite), I would hope the F900XR would be capable of at least that, if ridden slowly and with due caution.
Would value your opinion on this, as a gravel road is still a road, just as a wet road is still a road - neither would constitute 'off road' riding, and I would hope a decent road bike would be able to cope with most road conditions - potholes, rain, gravel, corrugations, snow, - but not true offload - as in deep mud, clay, sand, forest trails for which one does need a more specialised machine and tyres to manage the conditions more easily.
Having said that, I love your videos and look forwards to reading your further thoughts with the long term test of this very interesting new model from BMW :-)
funny how the profile so similar to the old f800st.
hopefully this one is a lot better bike though.
Please tell me, where is the pre-navigation mount?
I didn't need one. If asking me, the standard navigation is useless these days. I prefer a good smartphone mount.
If choosing to buy it, it's most likely mounted on the handlebar - a similar mount to the F850GS. But I'll ask about this thing.
@@DriveMagRiders Im asking because by ordering the "Touring-packet" you become cruise control and navi-mount. But you have only cruise control. How that?
@@sv7017 You can select those options separately as well
@@Gerymx Yeah, thank you. Didn't notice available single options.
Is this the low seat version?
No. Standard seat.
what is the height of the guy in yellow???
He said it... 1,74cm
surely one of you know a woman to take for a ride so we can see passenger accommodations and comfort.
Waaaiiit for it............. There it is the Patreon sales pitch!!! Ughhhh!!! Love your video's , and really looking forward to your assessment of the bike. But that sales pitch every other UA-cam channel is pitching gets old fast. Thanks.
Is all the F900XR made in Germany?
Not all. The engine is made in China alongside Loncin. The bike is put together in Berlin.
@@DriveMagRiders that's fine. No matter where it made as long as it follow the factory quality procedures it will be a brilliant bike
@@xcg1234 That's my opinion, too. The F850GS came out two years ago, it has the same engine, and it's everything fine. Btw, I like this one more than the F850.
Wheelies i want wheelies and how much attention this bike gains 😋😋🤤🤤🤤 i want it to be compared with tiger 900 gt in terms of acceleration and top speed
I've seen d bike in showroom in abudhabi it's look great the only thing u need to consider is the engine made in Wuhan China
5:18 :)) busted
Visit Saudi Arabia Please, it is a wonderful and beautiful country and its people are wonderful
literally every balkan people : Ditch the manual, i'm gonna unbox it and figure it out on the move. :D :D
If you don't have enough time to test bike send it to me.i have enough time 😁
Keep that in mind. :D
Compare it to the Nuda 900R
Not too organized. And running the bike in a small closed garage? Huh? Great bike tho!
This china engine?
My silly young grandkids watch stupid videos of toys they want being opened and . . . er, wait a second.
Ypu only get one there are two of you you need another is that the only color

I wish 900xr had boxer.......
This one is surpsiningly good, too .
bit of jealousy, wish me could have it too..thumbsup to u guys
I hope you do a better job of reviewing it then your mate did at the launch. He looked and sounded completely underwhelmed.
He was sleepy, or smth.. He really enjoyed the bike. :)
Good! Keep it up! Would you like to be UA-cam friends? :]
Look like a naked bike..
