Thanks for another great review! Really enjoying your content. Well produced, funny and right on target. One of my new favorite channels. Keep it up! You’re awesome.
I never accepted the "adventure" modifier on the first XR nor this one (like you) either. Adventure to me means: dirt-ability (no), wind protection (no), gear capacity (maybe), fuel range (no). As a sports tourer looks like a lot of fun but like you also, wouldn't buy with my own money. Great review.
Great review and funny. Well done! Since I own a F900XR I'm biased, but I do agree with almost everything that has been said in this review. My height is 1.82m and yes, the footpegs are a little bit too high up also for my taste, considering that one needs a lot of lean angle in corners in order to scratch the asphalt. BMW could have lowered the pegs 1.5 - 2cm and it would have been fine. Other than that I added a riser to have a more upright riding position and to bring the handlebar closer to me. I also changed the sport windshield with a larger aftermarket windshield. Both changes are a must if you go on longer tours and freeways. I have done over 5k of miles on all types of roads on this bike and those two mods made a big improvment. My XR has all the electronics that are available for safety and convenience and I must say, I love it. That is also the reason that I choose the XR over the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT, which does not offer the same features the F900XR. There will be a situation where you will need a little help from the state-of-the-art safety features this bikes offers. Although Teh Tracer's engine is notably more responsive and sportier than the BMW's.
That was a very good review. You covered all the areas I want to know about including night riding. Many other channels forget about that part of riding.
Very much enjoyed your unbiased review of the 900XR. It would be really interesting to see a review of the Tracer GT since these two bikes seem to be targeting the same market segment.
You make some pretty damn good content. Just found your channel but definitely worth a sub. Don't think BMW are actually selling this as an off roader. You can have an adventure on tarmac too 🤣
Thank goodness you bloomed out of your cocoon....hope to see more outdoors stuff, thanks for the review , nice bike ... I'll stay with my 1250GS, but nice bike.
Greetings from Bulgaria! Good review, fun and informative at the same time! Good idea about including the night ride. It confirms my decision of not specking my bike with the cornering lights.
Nice review! I haven't ridden the new F900s, but I have sat on them on a BMW dealership. Both bikes felt top-heavy, compared to the S1000RR, S1000R, and R1250R.
Luv u Jay! BMW was kind enough to give me bikes pretty much from the beginning, but I really didn’t have the time. The 900XR video was about 40 hours of work compared to the 6 hours of a normal episode. This year however i’ve planned things so I can do a LOT more bike reviews.
With scrambler tires like Pirelli MT60RS, the F900XR would be great on gravel & light dirt roads. If BMW reduce their price, i could be tempted to replace my CB500X next year. My budget is more limited because of Covid19, so maybe i will wait for the futur improved V-Strom 650/700 XT in 2021.
Really good review of the 900 XR,great job🤙🏼 sad that you didn’t tested the model with the bigger screen.i was curious to know the wind protection but hey I will just have to test ride it myself👏🏻
Oh man what a funny great review loved it, riding one this morning :) been looking forward to it, this could be the bike to replace my 02 VFR!...a bigger screen is available ;)
nice video, is this motorcycle suitable for daily use? in city as highway and on weekend touring, what is your advice. when I choose between Yamaha Tracer 900 or BMW s1000XR model 2015?? anyway I enjoy these reviews
First of all like your review's, Thanks for that. We would really like to see a comparison head to head between the XR900, The new Tracer mt 09 and the Ducati Multistrada 950S. That would be something to see..
Ok, so I finally could watch this review. What I don't understand is why you ask in a previous post for questions we have for this bike. None of this was included in the video.
Hi ! Thanks for the videos. Concerning ergonomics and a comfortable upright posture, what BMW bike would you recommend for a 1.84 kg 110kg guys ? Also, would the Yamaha 9GT be a best option? Thank you.
Thanks for your test - lots of useful information. Have you tried the bike with a top difusor in the windscreen.? Can you please inform what holder system you have for your iphone.
I just bought one, then I saw your video recommending it. It's now for sale.......... Just kidding mate. Your review helped formulate an opinion on this bike. It's great to get a variety of opinions from GP riders to wobblers at the other end of the spectrum...... like yourself.... 😉
@@LongWayHome 12 months on and no regrets. SCProject pipe sure makes it sound very "unBMW".... Dunlop mutants give me sealed and unsealed road options. Even handled some single track and creek crossings. It's slow steering, but the stability trade off is worth it. No reliability issues, except it needs a battery tender if left for more than a few weeks at a time. Unlike my Kawasaki's which start first time every time regardless of duration. Definitely opt for the comfort seat. Or get the stock one rebuilt. At 5' 11", it's very comfortable. Only real criticism is dealer service related, not bike related.
Si senzatia generala a fost ca motocicleta nu are cuplu, deloc. nimic sub 5000 si peste 5000 nu acelereaza ca si cum are 105 cai.
Salut. Am xr2022 si este o motocicleta fantástica. Nu inteleg unde sunt problemele , merge super . Multa tecnologíe , si foarte cómoda. BMW xr 900 ,Tracer 9 si Triumph Tiger 900 sunt cele mai bune in opinia mea in categoría asta de CC..
Very interesting review and final words about would you buy one with your own money. In this regard I think it is over priced for what it is, compared to let's say the Yamaha Tracer.
I think adventure sport suit the motorcycle beacuse it has adventure motocycle ergonomics. Sport Touring i think is more like the kawasaki h2 sx beacuse it has sport motorcycle ergonomics.
I’m 1.95m (6 foot 5) with long legs. You say this is not a good bike for tall people, but I also heard the saddle comes in different heigths. If I get it at maximum height, would it be enough?
There was a couple of seconds image of the fuel filler cap (but sadly no mention). In our summary that the big is not quite large enough, I assume it’s dimensions are smaller than the 1000xr?
Hey, Mr. Long Way Home. If you ever happen to drop the bike to the right side... That phone will fly to the ground. Ask me how I know. That XR is a good looking machine. With roads like that, you're tempting me to pay you a visit someday.
What phone mount are you using in the nav dock and does the charging work without any extra wiring? I've tried a few and so far none of them are charging like they should. Just picked up my F900XR last week and trying to sort this out.
Anything else about the 900XR you would like to know?
passenger comfort ,tank mileage, short enough for 5,7" height folks? top box setup?
does it wheelie?
Can you make a comparison between the f900xr and the f750gs? Being both road oriented touring bikes think it could be a fair comparison.
How does it compare to Versys650 and Versys1000?
What’s the engine like compared to the 790 duke parallel twin?
closed track and kilometers per day - awsome
Oh nice review, going to test ride one👍
“Captain America” reviews a sport touring BMW, now that’s big news indeed. 👍🏼 😎 🇺🇸 🌎
Thanks for another great review! Really enjoying your content. Well produced, funny and right on target. One of my new favorite channels. Keep it up! You’re awesome.
No Scott! You’re awesome! :) or “breathtaking” as Keanu would say.
Better review than most of channels out there 👌🏻👍🏻

First time someone spoke about heat and front dive, thank you so much
I suspect this model is going to be a sales success for BMW.Thks.

@manfredhettenkofer282 I also have a F900XF…what screen did you replace the sport screen with and do you like it? I am 1.78M.
Thanks from the States!
Beautiful motorbike. Easy to ride and very efficient. Stick on the roads and country side.
A comparison with Tiger 900 GT is highly anticipated !
This is the best review of this bike that I have seen. You told me how it works in various scenarios. Great job!
That was a very good review. You covered all the areas I want to know about including night riding. Many other channels forget about that part of riding.

Nice review, you've pointed out exactly what a buyer needs to know before he decides to buy it. Greetings!
Great review! I’ve never actually seen a road paved by babies but I’ll keep looking!
Nice review! I haven't ridden the new F900s, but I have sat on them on a BMW dealership. Both bikes felt top-heavy, compared to the S1000RR, S1000R, and R1250R.
As always, I enjoyed this video, especially your sense of humor!
You are the best, there's just no other way to describe your work! 🙂
So now that you’re at 20k subs, companies are lending you their bikes. Great work bro. I was with you at 2k subs. From 🇰🇪

I like bigger hooter. Torque is king. The keyless ride and the TFT is civilized. I now have another use for cruise. Itch itch. Great review.
Best review of the F900XR I've seen...
“…a lot of kilograms over normal.” 🤣🤣🤣 Hilarious! Great review.
Great review! 👍🏻 Good to see you out of the garage and on the road! 😁
Informative and entertaining. Thank you for that. Keep up the great videos.
Salut, urmaresc de mult canalul,nu m-as fi gandit ca sunteti din Romania. Tineti-o tot asa! 👍
From another Scott L i look forward to a Friday night to see what you have posted. Keep up the great work
My schedule's been hectic for the past couple of weeks. Still trying to get 3 videos per week out, but you're getting something tonight :D
Some crazy camera angles going on there ... great review 👍🏼

This is the perfect bike for India 😍
Great review, with the usual humor. Keep it up!
Great review man. You should do motorcycle reviews more often. I would love to hear your observations about Yamaha T7 and KTM 390 ADV.
Yes I agree and compare with the BMW 900XR
@@peterstimpfle9424 ? Not in the same category
Excellent review , great format .
Really enjoyed this review ‘ I’ve ridden one recently and loved it but I agree with the size thing, it’s a bit toy like for a taller rider... 👍
Good stuff love humour!
Great review !
Really good review of the 900 XR,great job🤙🏼 sad that you didn’t tested the model with the bigger screen.i was curious to know the wind protection but hey I will just have to test ride it myself👏🏻
Heck of a great review . . . well done!
Oh man what a funny great review loved it, riding one this morning :) been looking forward to it, this could be the bike to replace my 02 VFR!...a bigger screen is available ;)
Thanks for the review! Also, kudos for your good English! As a feedback, the background music was a bit distracting to me. Cheers!
A real review- thanks.
Its me or the exhaust pipes going out of engines of BMW F750GS, F850GS & F900XR are rusting so fast in just a few months!?!?
Awesome review my friend.
Great job, Dude!
Able to get out and ride finally? Great review!
Good audio while your riding in the video!
Really cool review
Can you compare 900XR with Triumph 900GT Pro. Sitting position, handling, accelaration and electronic and quickshifter? Thanks.
nice video, is this motorcycle suitable for daily use? in city as highway and on weekend touring, what is your advice. when I choose between Yamaha Tracer 900 or BMW s1000XR model 2015?? anyway I enjoy these reviews
18L fuel tank would have been better. I hope BMW brings it out asap along with adjustable front forks.
First of all like your review's, Thanks for that.
We would really like to see a comparison head to head between the XR900, The new Tracer mt 09 and the Ducati Multistrada 950S.
That would be something to see..
Super test ride finally a man who speaks the truth not all the normal bullshit thank you
Nice review 👍🏼
Good review thank you
How does it compare against Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro
Brilliant to see you out of the hutch! Nice bike but would I buy one! No. I'd buy a tenere and spend the difference on fuel etc. Good review bro.
Very useful review.
Nice review of the bike 🙏
14:37 Imagine a pillion how cramped would be. It has max 20 cm in the back. We wouldn’t want to much comfort for the passenger.
Lol all in his head. :) I LOVE it, thank you
That would be a great power plant for a GSA
Touring option to get seat heights, option is not available in Thailand . I must buy the comfort seat
I think I'll choose V-Strom 1050 before this 900 XR...
Ok, so I finally could watch this review.
What I don't understand is why you ask in a previous post for questions we have for this bike.
None of this was included in the video.
Because I totally forgot about it....
@@LongWayHome At least honest and answered.
Hello, if I may ask, what do you think about the ride comfort (suspension), wind protection and turning circle compared to a GS? Thanks in advance.
Yes hi seat ; and bars back for sure
Hi, Great info, anyway can u share about tiger 900 pro review. Much appreciated to hear from u . Cheers
And bike is like 'please take 1000xr,you are to big for me' 😁
Hi ! Thanks for the videos. Concerning ergonomics and a comfortable upright posture, what BMW bike would you recommend for a 1.84 kg 110kg guys ? Also, would the Yamaha 9GT be a best option? Thank you.
Great job. Only question, you mentioned it was not for taller riders.
What would you consider the upper limit?
Thanks for your test - lots of useful information.
Have you tried the bike with a top difusor in the windscreen.?
Can you please inform what holder system you have for your iphone.
Offroad? I would call that a normal gravelroad! Offroad doesn’t mean non paved road, offroad means no road!
Thanks
Baie dankie :D
Fuel economy.? Small tank worries me. Very hard seat too for more than short days journeys?
I just bought one, then I saw your video recommending it. It's now for sale..........
Just kidding mate. Your review helped formulate an opinion on this bike. It's great to get a variety of opinions from GP riders to wobblers at the other end of the spectrum...... like yourself.... 😉

Was Dave your pillion rider? Didn't hear him complain about the seat at lease
Do you think tracer 900 would be more comfortable for taller riders?
What about the luxury seat, is that higher?
Looking at familiar places i visited suddenly i realized you are from Romania! lol.

If it had shaft drive I'd be interested. I'm 5'8 ideal height or too tall. Can Dave handle chain to shaft drive conversions?

Hey Hugh. Of course. S1000XR for the big boys coming up next.
Thanks. Great review btw, first Episode I have seen of yours outside the garage...!
Watch my Adventure playlist. It’s great.

Nah, literally, just dropped it.
finally you left home..... :p btw I am 178 and I feel I am too short for this bike
Pillion comforts, luggage, top box?
Good machine! Very very very small pillion . Thats why I prefered the ducati 950. And also for the engine. And the look. Brakes. Sound…
Why do the XR graphics look more like X2 on the red version?
It doesn't look like there is much difference between this and the F900R in wind protection!
Non adjustable forks on a bike priced so high?
What phone mount are you using in the nav dock and does the charging work without any extra wiring? I've tried a few and so far none of them are charging like they should. Just picked up my F900XR last week and trying to sort this out.
Great review but how many miles can you get out of a tank of petrol?
Ideal conditions (no head wind, light load, highway riding) 350 km (220 miles)
