Built two GTS mini bikes. One Tillotson 263 powered and the other Predator 224. tested one of them for top speed.

ajustable coil bracket you say... now we talking this makes getting a big cam more fesable. to get power down low more adjustable

rule of thumb.....1 tooth on the front sprocket = 3 teeth on the rear.
Yes and around 6 on a 35 chain. Check out the gear ratio calculator. www.gokartsupply.com/ratios.htm
@@Black66you should go to a 35 chain because it will roll a lot more free on the bike and will have less wear on sprockets with that much speed. Love the vids!
@@CallofdutyjoeyThanks, yes agreed. That is why Mini Bike drags and Karts use 35 chain. Way less rolling resistance.
@@Black66what if you put 25 chain on a minibike? Would it break the chain because of the small size?
@@CallofdutyjoeyNot sure. I have seen some of the racing karts are running smaller chain . I'm not up on what they are runng these days.

Just a quick question for you 66 In your opinion, which is the best knock off VM carburetor for a 212 tilloson? Thanks man.
So where do you get them headers that have that shape? I know you want the ID to be as big as possible at least I do and all I see is the ones that go straight back from the side with the biggest id. I have a eccarburetors one but it's for a racekart and it hit the seat on the gts. Like it's hard to look at the pictures to see if some of these headers are going to fit or hit the back tire lol or even the side of the bike.
My MM doesnt but my Axis bike, anything over 40+ and I can feel the frame flexing and.wobbling sort.of and it feels wrong lol.
Ive never topped it out on the road but used to kiss the governor now and then on the trails😂.
I'm currently looking for a 46 tooth. to fit the 8 inch Coleman rear wheel.... I'm running a 44 tooth 41 chain on a 15 inch wheel modified on my db 30 frame with torque conveter i belive im still running a 10 tooth front. sprocket

Hey black 66, i was wondering if youd be interested in trying to see if overall wheel size yields performance gains on these minis, wouldnt a larger wheel yield a higher top end?
For every tooth fewer on the rear sprocket is attached to the rim/tire, therefore the rear wheel will turn faster (but less torque). The more teeth on the rear will produce more torque to the wheel, (lower top end speed).The sprocket on front that drives the chain is just the opposite!

Got a question about governors. Will a Honda GX 200 governor work on a Predator 212 non hemi. I want to restore this as a work engine for an aerator and need a governor.
Where did you get those throttle cable clamps?
I think I linked them in the blue GTS bike build videos. They are Azusa clamps. I got them off of Amazon .

How do i make my mini bike faster i have a 212 ghost 10t clutch with a 74t sprocket i top out at 40 im trying to go cheapest route by either buying just sprocket or clutch any suggestions?
Where’d you get that chrome fan shroud from?
I Had the stock shroud plated.
Do you think it’s possible to make a B200R move like this or even faster with your engine setup?

What app do you use to measure miles?
I use a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30 and digiHUD on the phone for top speed.

I think any bike is good. They are all fun. I have picked up plenty of bikes at yard sales or Craigslist.

Hey so I’ve been having problems with this same engine I’ve been commenting about and I was wondering if I could pay to ship it to you and you check it out for me if you have any spare time! But a little background of this guy it was perfect when I got it until I was riding with a buddy one day with no exhaust and blew the push rods through the head so I swapped the head from another 212 and then it was having a kick back issue during pull start for the longaest and I’ve opened the engine multiple times aswell as relashed the valves and it’s slightly went away but now the pull start is way stiffer and I noticed I have no compression release the little bump you should see but the cam isn’t stuck and I now I have noooo idea what to do next and now when it runs it’s sounds off like a knocking at high rpm when the chain is on but I took the chain off and it doesn’t sound like it’s knocking or ruff I can rev it until it pops also I’ve been having trouble with my mikuni carb now after I put the 10krpm flywheel off Amazon on it even though I don’t see how that can affect my carb it’s been not idling right either and I have a 120 jet in there I put a 125 and it ran worse so I went back down please man wisdom me away cause this engines driving me nuts

Black 66, That bike has the 263 correct? Dude that thing flies! My gts bike had the short bars like ur blue one. Seems like the taller ones would be alot nicer! I ended up seller it as a roller and bought 3 more other bikes instead🤣
I see now that it does have the 263👍. Quick question, any idea how many rpms that bike turns with that current motor and gear?
I didn't really look at the figures for this set up but check out this gear ratio calculator. You can figure out pretty much any set up with this. www.gokartsupply.com/ratios.htm
