- Crafted out of 440C stainless steel, the 11 inch Walther P99 Tactical Knife is truly a versatile defensive tool. The 5-1/2 inch spear-point razor and false edged blade is partially serrated on one side and promises quick and decisive action with a bite. Sure-grip rubber Kraton handle provides maximum control and the wide steel guard adds essential protection during thrusts. Comes with the popular Walther ballistic nylon sheath rigged for boot, belt or shoulder harness carrying options.
I have now owned 2 such knives. Excellent quality. It is sharp out of the box, but it has the potential of being razor sharp if put to a ceramic rod. Also when using the shoulder rig , put the end with the pants clip on the metal belt clip, and switch the shoulder loop to the Velcro attachment. With the inverted draw, it is much smoother. Grip the handle, while using free hand to detach Velcro and draw down.
I bought one and liked it so much I sold my Applegate Fairbairn Boker because this served the same purpose and I used the proceeds to buy my first of s dozen Tops knives
Heavy duty, well made, excellent edge can be put on it. It's a very nice knife for $27.00. It's balanced, and i'd match it up with the Boker Model which is $200+.
I have one of these, dont get worked up over 440 steel or made in China, Taiwan etc. it is made to jam in between ribs or other soft fleshy bits. solid and value for money.

yes, you can use it as throwing knife. i do that too, i bought it just for that. it is well balanced and the handle can´t broke.
I just picked up a couple at Big 5 sporting goods on a sale at $15 each. I can't believe they sell a knife this good for that cheap. The shoulder harness carry option is a wee bit undersized for me, but excellent considering the price. If you are used to brands like Cold Steel, Gerber, or Kershaw, you will not call these "sharp", but for the price and build quality, no complaints, even if I have to pay to have them professionally sharpened.
I like mine and the top back edge even was sharpen , it's worth every penny you payed for it and more although I paid a little less they are very high quality budget versions of the fight dagger by called the

A really good knife made of good old 440 steel. However the sheath/shoulder holster are all together totally useless. The Whole concept/assembly is cumbersome and does not fit any normal adult. The Velcro securing strap of plastic will fail!. I still can recommend this Walter P99, but found an all leather sheath on German ebay that fits perfectly, made of several layers of 3mm leather. For me, his makes all the difference.
even if the products are made in Taiwan or China, the factory uses the manufacturers quality. The only reason they are made in such countries is because of the cheap working hands! σωστός;;;
ok??? sorry, but i do think it's kind of a downer to have a knife with Taiwan on it :P and i was always told not to buy knives made in those countries
440 steel is so damm hard its almost impossible to sharpen it . But its a good looking knife but i won't buy it because of the ugly text on the blade
