- I find myself saying a particular phrase over and over in this review..."I really enjoyed this shoe." And I did. When it comes to max cushion running shoes on the market today, this is definitely a top 3 in my book and many others'. I'll give you my review of the Triumph 17 now that I have retired them and moved on, but rest assured I'll be returning to Saucony's PWRRUN+ I have grown to love.
Though Saucony has released the new Triumph 18, you'll find that not much has changed. It's a more trimmed down version, but major elements, including the PWRRUN+ remains the same. I do really like the new colorways.
You can find the Triumph 17 for $89 right now and possibly even less.
Specifications of Triumph 17:

Offset 8 mm (33.5/25.5)
Weight: Men 10.7 oz (305g), Women 9.2 oz (261g)

Still look good at 500miles
Hi Michael - Thanks for the comment. I don't recommend running past 500 miles in any shoe. It's recommended to not run more than 300-400 miles in any shoe, though I broke that rule with these. I definitely don't suggest pushing these past 500. I do however use these as a casual shoe from time to time still.
Hey dude, are you going to buy the triumph 18? I hear it it is more breathable hence less hot, although it is a little bit more heavy
Hi TaM0 - Thanks for the comment. I'm not planning on buying the 18, though I do like the new "mutant" colors. I think the next road shoe for me will be the Freedom 3. Same PWRRUN+ midsole with a lighter more breathable upper.
@@runslowtorunfast6528 thanks for the feedback I will gladly take a look on it
@@runslowtorunfast6528 could you let us know when you first try the freedom 3, and if so when are you looking to do it?
Thanks for your time
@@pureEron1994 Absolutely!
Do you think this would be a good shoe for somone that has patellar tendonitis or bad knees??
I think it could be. Saucony generally inserts a slight bit of stability to help and that may alleviate some knee pain. Unfortunately, I do not know enough about patellar tendonitis to make a solid recommendation for you. I'd recommend heading to a local running store to see if you can try some on and do a quick jog on the treadmill if they have one. I could see this being a good shoe for you though!
Run Slow to Run Fast thank you so much man your really helpful!
