I just run Toronto half marathon last Sunday, finished at 1:34:17. I did have a slight fever going in, but I am still miles/years away from running a sub 3 marathon. Congratulations on your sub 3 marathon! What an achievement!
The guys all crowding around you with 1km to go gave me chills. To have that love and support is priceless and I felt like I was there with you in that moment. Congratulations Mo, you're a Champion!!
"If you set yourself a goal, and it's too big, then just grow into the person who can achieve that goal " . Love it, just what I needed to hear in my journey ❤ congratulations, that was amazing!
This gave me the chills! A sub 3 hour marathon is a massive acievement on its own, but to do it surrounded by such loving and supportive people is the greatest prize.
Don't mind admitting that what i just watched made me shed tears of joy! For a bunch of people that I do not know, the running channel crew continue to inspire and motivate ordinary people like me to keep pushing. Thank you Mo.
Read your comment before watching it and thought “okay easy” but damn… When he read that time out loud and the entire crew erupted into cheers I shed a tear as well 😢
Yup I cried too! Seeing how much support and love you had along the way was truly inspiring and beautiful to watch! Hearing you say how your Mom said she was proud and how you were holding it in, ahhh instant tears! Congratulations Mo! I’ve been waiting for this video to see how it went! You should be so proud as we are for you!!!!
Pretty much all quick distance runners have similar sticky builds, so to be able to run a sub 3 hour marathon while carrying some serious chest and bicep muscles around with you the whole time is a phenomenal feat of athleticism! Great job Mo, you've completed running!
The extra amount of energy you get feom having a team feels absolutely great to watch. Being a lone runner is good, but I definitely think I could go further with a team. Unfortunately, I just can't afford it. My training hours are all over the place. I've a sub 1:20 half marathon runner. Thinking about running my first ultra this coming year. Let's gooooo! That was inspiring.
Incredible work Mo!!! Your race time is a huge accomplishment, but I was moved by the love of your friends and family. How wonderful it is to have so much love and support around you while you achieve your goal. It's a reflection of who you are and you should be proud, both of your race and of the community supporting you!!!
I’m not crying 😭 This is why we love running ❤ This is why running is the most amazing community to be part of! Celebrating others achieving their goals and helping dreams come true. Well done Mo! 🤗
OMG, I'm crying watching this, the amount of support you have, your friends, family, its absolutely amazing to see. Fantastic running, Mo!! Amazing 🎉🏃♂️❤ x
Crying watching this just like I knew I would. I ran my first marathon this past Sunday and it was such an epic experience. I cannot wait to keep working hard and shave whatever time off my body will allow. You are such a light and inspiration Mo. We all love you SO MUCH! Well done! Congratulations!!!!
I’m training for my first marathon and aiming to go sub 4. A very different goal than sub 3 but this whole training series is a lot of my inspiration for going sub 4. It’s a long ways off but I’ll be ready.
Don't dismiss a sub 4 hour marathon, it's a hefty goal, andit's going to be tough. You will need to train hard. Remember that just finishing a marathon is something that only a tiny little fraction of the people in the world has done.
That was really emotional to watch! Congratulations on reaching your goal! This channel has been so inspiring to me. I´m running my second half marathon this Sunday, aiming for sub 2:00 (ran 2:08 last September). Also running my first marathon in 4 months.
Just cried my bloody eyes out! I ran London, my first ever marathon, a few weeks back and watching your vid just brought back all the memories, there really is nothing like crossing that finish line and having your support system cheering you through a rough patch. Well done Mo you smashed it x
I felt all the feels for you Mo. We all did. As a running community, we all feel it when people we watch and support do well. Well done from us all- the most brilliant achievement! 👏🏻 xx
I have a tear in my eye from seeing you being so happy and hugging everyone and your mom. I thought the same thing that your mother said: you should be proud of yourself regardless of the time. You are apparently a wonderful person and you have worked so hard. It is inspiring. Congrats on you being you and on your achievement.
"If you set yourself a goal, and it's too big, then just grow into the person who can achieve that goal " amazing words and massive congrats, Mo, what an extraordinary effort and what an inspiration....it almost 6am here in Australia, I'm in the final leg of half marathon training and about to head off for a long run, this was exactly the boost I needed to get me out of the door, we all have the people we want to become inside of us and its all about putting in the work to get there. thankyou so much for sharing this for us ❤
Honestly sat here all teary again because what a freaking day that was, and what a stunning video you've all produced for it. Was genuinely still really stressed out reliving that last bit, especially with Mo's commentary added! You're a legend dude :)
If you set yourself a goal that is too big, then just grow into that person you need to be to achieve that goal!!! my new mantra!!! This video really hit me. I loved it. Thank you Mo and TRC
Рік тому+4
Mo, you are a true inspiration. I got back into running less than a year ago and I'm hoping to run a second marathon in 42 years. I plan to periodically go back and watch your training videos as well as this one. Good job! If you had only one piece of advice to give, what would it be?
Cried my eyes out. Mo, I’m so damn proud. I live in MK. I run Campbell park. I know that hill at the end is a killer after that kind of distance. But you did it. You absolutely smashed it. Can’t wait to see what you do next!
Thank you to the Running Channel & to Mo for sharing your experiences with us. Your videos got me through the pandemic & kept me motivated to train for the Comrades Marathon. I don't even know any of you but I cried watching this. There's no better feeling than working hard and crossing the finish line of a marathon with an achieved goal. Even better when you have so much support around you. Thank you to your support team & mum for being such awesome humans! Well done on an achievement most of us only dream of👏👏👏 sending love to you all from South Africa 🇿🇦
Not quite a sub 3 marathon but I've got my first half marathon in 3 weeks and seeing this series and video has been inspirational. Congrats on joining the sub 3 marathon club, you smashed it!
Was tearing up at the end with your crew leading you through the last km and then all the loved ones supporting you at the finishing line (and cheering throughout). Congratulations and thank you for letting people from around the world be part of your experience and joy!
It’s 5.30am here in Aus, it’s cold and wet and I was seriously struggling motivating myself to get out the door for my long run this morning. I’m 10 weeks into my training block for my first marathon and this has fired me up so much, congrats Mo, and thanks Running Channel team!!
Well done Mo! I managed to run my first ultra last weekend and what you said at the end "If you set yourself a goal and it’s too big then just grow into that person you need to be to achieve that goal" resonates so much with what I went through since setting myself what seemed to be an impossible goal at the beginning. Hope you're enjoying some rest now!
Amazing effort Mo! Your supporters were incredible, you could feel the love through the screen, what an epic atmosphere to cross the line in. Well done 💪🏼
Great job, Mo!! Absolutely loved the asides from your friends and fans! With 1K to go, and all your pacers just encouraging and encouraging you, I was smiling and crying and dang! it was a beautiful moment-can only image how it felt in real time!!
That was so moving, the love, support and connection is what is the most wonderful part of running. Mo thank you for sharing your struggles, your training and your victory! The end with your mom was so special!
Awesome video, and the way people supporting is so much proof that humanity still exist, great run Mo, congratulations and it really is a progress need to be remarked.
Just lovely. Mo, you deserved your success, you have such dedication and integrity. And what strong advice, grow into the person you want to be to achieve your goals. Well done. Your mother is rightly proud.
Kudos Mo. Mega running! Appreciated all your cheer squad and sorry for getting in the way of the camera bike! I faded big style in the last 3rd, but delighted for you hitting your goal and living your best life! Blessings
Mo, congrats. I literally just applauded you while watching you reveal your finishing time. And when you mentioned your mom meeting you at the finish, it brought back vivid memories of the only time my parents ever saw me run a marathon when I spied them at about 26 miles in a sea of people downtown at the 1996 Los Angeles Marathon. Feeling inspired again.
Mo, you are an inspiration to us all. Your effort and this video will provide the impetus for so many runners who have been too afraid to set their own bold goals. Great job.
Mo, I loved hearing your thoughts throughout the race, and seeing the massive celebration at the finish! I completed my first marathon this morning and I can relate to everything you said. Though I didn't have a squad of people cheering me on in person, I had my entire family cheering me on through encouraging texts and my husband was my rock during the moments where I too was questioning my ability to finish in one piece. Well done, Mo, that was phenomenal and you should be so incredibly proud!!
Wow, that was emotional! You are incredible Mo, well done, I was there cheering on someone else, but I did see you too and cheered you too!! Your mum is spot on, look at all that love you inspired.
Been waiting for this video for a long time! Couldn't held back the tears just like many others I think. Your a real inspiration for me Mo! Seeing you put in the hard work with ups and downs during the training periode makes me believe I can do the same. Running my own sub 3 race in October and being apprehensive about it being a realistic goal made me question myself. But your saying " If you set yourself a goal, and it's too big, then just grow into the person who can achieve that goal" made me realize that even when I don't achieve the sub 3 this October I have grown as a person that's worth more than what time is on the clock at the finish line. Keep on doing what you're doing, you're a amazing host, runner and above all an amazing person.
That was just a goosebumps video. Mo. What a guy. Clearly all his supporters present physically thought so too. And that hug with Mum after. I’m so inspired
Sitting here with tears in my eyes, and felt it so much. Thank you so much for the inspiration and indsigts! I myself am training towards my first ever marathon in march 2025, and I’m looking towards a target of sub 4 hours. It feels impossible, but I can also see that it’s reachable with the time still left to practice. So yeah, your video motivates so so much. Thanks Mo, and a huge congratulations on the result! 🙏
Fantastic Mo what great support and team work, Im 66 and took up running 3 years ago, my ambition is to run a marathon eventually .....dont know if ive left it too late 😊 You are an inspiration I shed a tear as you crossed the finish line and I dont even know you good luck in the future Mo.... Your the man...
That was a genuinely beautiful video 🥹All the love and support from your running crew, family and friends had me in tears. Well done on your time Mo! That was fantastic! All your hard work paid off. We’re all so proud of you. Katherine Switzer said “If you ever feel like giving up on human nature, watch a marathon” and after watching your marathon and London, I now totally understand ❤️
AWESOME JOB MO! Seeing you and your Mom there, brought tears to my eyes. Finishing and accomplishing such a goal, says a lot about you and all that you can do, well done!
You made me cry while I was on the train. Congratulations Mo, this was amazing and what you said at the end really touched my heart, definitely my new motto, thanks for that!!! My first running shoes were under armour and I loved them so much that I've bought the same model ever since now for my week days training, now this video gives me the confident to stick to under armour and choose them for my long distance runs (currently I use Nike for long runs). Also thanks to TRC for the content!!!!!!
Thank you Mo; just the motivation I needed. That was the most honest, raw depiction of the marathon struggle I have ever seen. Massive congratulations on your achievement. Your race was a real Run to Inspire 👏👏👏
What a beautiful thing! Add me to the list of those who cried, and cheered you on , out loud for that last KM. Truly inspiring Mo , thank you, this video will be watched many times to shut my excuses up! GREAT JOB
Yes Mo! As someone hoping to shave 20 mins off my marathon time to achieve sub3 its inspiring to see you showcase how far you can get with hard work, dedication and determination
Mo, been following you ever since you joined the TRC team. Love your energy and you have been an inspiration for me to do my first marathon and I hit all my targets. I believe you will hit your target. Get In There Mo👊🏿💯👊🏿💯
I'm not crying you're crying!!! The MK Marathon was my first marathon in 2017. (not quite as quick as Mo of course) Thanks, Mo so inspiring. Also your team was so inspiring as well. Loved it.
I’ve been waiting and waiting for this vlog to drop!! Mo, you’re incredible, Well Done 👏👏👏. I think everyone watching this has acknowledged the love and support you have from friends and family , it really shines through and is so warming and inspiring.
Got to say one of the best videos on the channel to date. I felt jubilation at the end there for Mo. Well done mate. Amazing inspiration. I’ve got my first race on Sunday. I’ve set a goal of 50 minutes it’s a 10k. When I signed up I had run 1 sub hour 10k at 59:47. I’ve been training hard for the last few months and really keen to see what I can do.
Congratulations, Mo. An inspiring film of grit and the power of the love and support of those close to you. If Ted Lasso did marathons, they’d look like this.
Absolutely loved watching the love of your family and friends have for you Mo. I'm training for 3 hour marathon and know how hard the training is let alone putting it all together on race day. 💪💪💪
I love this video! To do anything great we need to choose a goal that's important to us and make the necessary changes to our life to make those dreams a reality. We then need a great team of people to help and inspire us to greatness. Never losing sight of the goal. Huge congratulations Mo and your team. This video is extremely inspirational to me as I'm living it right now and preparing for my 4th Half Marathon in Melbourne on October 2023 at the age of 60. I'm working towards my first Marathon in 2024. Just paying my dues as I started running 3 years ago. It made my eyes well up at the beauty of a determined runner and his team, all working towards and achieving a magnificent goal. It's something very special that no one can take away from you. Well done Mo. You and your team are an inspiration.
Congratulations Mo! 🎉 You are truly inspiring and training through Ramadan as well. We as members of the extended TRC family are incredibly proud of your achievements.
Congratulations Mo, on reaching your goal! This is so inspiring! Even though I will probably never run a sub-3 hour marathon, this reminds me to never give up and always try to be the best version of myself! ❤
Can't believe I would be wiping my tears off, tears of joy and flood of emotions indeed, the journey you have been taking, with all those adorable friends, your supporting crew, is super duper strong and motivational. The connection and love bonding got to me. even a stranger who doesn't know your personalities and stories, can feel it wholeheartedly and truthfully. Appreciate your passion to the sport and to the people around you. You must be such a nice genuine human being bringing so much good vibes and energy. Well done on this incredible achievement, Sub-3 is definitely a massive milestone to hit, which many runners dream of doing one day, hopefully I will get there soon with consistency, grit and determination. You are amazing Mo!!! Keep it up, and once again, Congratulations!!!
Great job Mo! You are a great inspiration for me. After many years as a gym rat with very little cardio, I started running about 18 months ago. Seeing that you, with quite a bit of muscle on the upper body as well, can reach such a great goal gives me hope too.
Wow. Mo, you absolute legend. That was amazing to watch and I cried tears of pride for you. The support you had was just so wonderful. You inspire me (I’ll never be able to run like you but your tenacity is something we can all learn lessons from )
Such a fantastic effort, and wonderful to see your village out there supporting you. Thankyou so much for sharing the journey. We need a short of the quote about growing into the person you need to be to achieve your goal, so we can send that message around the world!
That was incredible Mo and so was the suoport from the pacer team and your cheer squad! So happy for you -we've all seen the journey you have made with this and the work you have put in and so it's great to see you get your reward!
Huge congratulations Mo! I know that feeling of making your mum really proud as had something similar when i cross the line at my first half marathon last week in bham. Also TRC great production and storytelling on this video guys.
Congratulations Mo. I was a little bit further behind you (04:20:03) and gutted I didn’t get to see you or the rest of TRC crew there on the day. Great to have the video to remind me of the day.
Oh my gosh, Mo and the entire RC crew are amazing! I've been following his journey towards this huge goal and I'm so thrilled for him that he acheived success! As someone else mentioned in the comments, for a bunch of people I don't know and in all likelyhood will never meet, I'm pretty invested in them.
Amazing run Mo. listened to the podcast as well and loved seeing the video afterward. Great to see so many people surround you. Life is better with friends.
Oh my goodness, that was the most emotional video I've seen in a long time. A massive well done to you and, of course, your team. You must be so proud! That last canal bridge is savage, trust me, I know! I hope you enjoyed the course and MK. A city I'm proud to call home x
What a fantastic and emotional video - Well done Mo! Huge inspiration and I have loved following all the training videos. Absolutely let out a cheer when I saw the final time 🎉
What a run Mo! I ran my first marathon in Rotterdam this year and i can say you guys are really inspiring! Be proud en enjoy this feeling for as long as possible! 💪🏻
I so need Mo's crew at my next race 🤣 Incredible! I'm in my 50's and my Mum telling me she's proud is always the highlight of a race weekend. She doesn't care about the time either. Well done Mo, you absolutely smashed it. Also I'm definitely not crying, it's just onions or something.
Watching this as I eat my breakfast and crying into my cereal 😭 so inspiring, so proud, Mo is amazing and seeing this kind representation from our community in the running space means so much 🫶🏽❤️
Wow! You are a very lucky man to have so many wonderful friends and family out there supporting you. Congrats on achieving your time goal! But you would've been a winner either way!
Have you been working on a marathon goal? Got any questions for Mo?
Yea! My first marathon on 21st may. I’ve been working on it for 6 months now so i hope it pays off but regardless of the outcome i loved the journey 😄
I was due to run my first marathon thus Sunday (14th) in Leeds. Gutted to have to pull out after a plantar fasciitis diagnosis a few weeks ago 😢
Next year i'm trying in Seville under 3 hours
Does The Running Club strava updated?
I just run Toronto half marathon last Sunday, finished at 1:34:17. I did have a slight fever going in, but I am still miles/years away from running a sub 3 marathon.
Congratulations on your sub 3 marathon! What an achievement!
The guys all crowding around you with 1km to go gave me chills. To have that love and support is priceless and I felt like I was there with you in that moment. Congratulations Mo, you're a Champion!!
"If you set yourself a goal, and it's too big, then just grow into the person who can achieve that goal " . Love it, just what I needed to hear in my journey ❤ congratulations, that was amazing!
yup. exactly what I needed to hear as well. We'll see in 9 days for my second marathon in Montreal.
This gave me the chills! A sub 3 hour marathon is a massive acievement on its own, but to do it surrounded by such loving and supportive people is the greatest prize.

Well said.

I've a sub 1:20 half marathon runner. Thinking about running my first ultra this coming year.
Let's gooooo! That was inspiring.
Where abouts are you based? We are always up for coming and cheering amazing runners on!
@@runningchannel I'm in Rio, Brazil.
"Grow into the person you need to be to achieve that goal..." Writing that one down!
Absolutely amazing! Congratulations, Mo. What an achievement 👏👏👏
What you said about your mom being proud of you brought tears to my eyes, too. Congratulations!
Incredible work Mo!!! Your race time is a huge accomplishment, but I was moved by the love of your friends and family. Fantastic running, Mo!! Amazing 🎉🏃♂️❤ x

My goal was a sub-4 at Manchester and I got 3:53:40. Sub-3 is absolutely amazing! Well done Mo, what a fantastic achievement 👏👏👏
Well done sub 4 is amazing too. I just got a 3:51 in my first marathon in April. How the hell people go sub 3 I don't know 😂

Such an inspiration, Mo! Dropping 30 minutes is no joke! I've run 3:23, and now I'm thinking sub 3:00 is a goal to work toward. Wow, just wow!
Just lovely. Mo, you deserved your success, you have such dedication and integrity.

Congratulations Mo! I shed a few tears while you were talking about your mum
Thank you guys for this. I am just starting my journey and have tears in my eyes. Thank you. This is beautiful.
Congrats Mo! Goal achieved! Loved seeing how excited and supportive your crew were - it's a great reflection of what you bring to their lives.
Belief plus support, the dedication and real grit..this is it. What an amazing group of people. Well done fella, that was awesome.
This was such an emotional watch. Seeing all the people there to support Mo to reach his goal was wonderful to see. Well done Mo! You smashed it 😄
Congratulations Mo! 🎉 You are truly inspiring and training through Ramadan as well. We as members of the extended TRC family are incredibly proud of your achievements.
Not me crying when Mo’s mom hugged him at the end. 😭😭😭 Many congrats and thanks TRC for all the inspiration!
Congrats Mo. Seem a genuinely nice guy, the love from your supporters show that too. Love the boost you get from your crew over that last 1km!
Absolutely amazing! I love seeing people push for their goals and it's icing on the cake to see you achieve it! Great job!🎉
Great job Mo! You are a great inspiration for me. After many years as a gym rat with very little cardio, I started running about 18 months ago. Seeing that you, with quite a bit of muscle on the upper body as well, can reach such a great goal gives me hope too.
What a support crew Mo that’s the way to properly celebrate I think they deserve the medal 😊 congratulations on your time you looked strong throughout
Wow. Mo, you absolute legend. That was amazing to watch and I cried tears of pride for you. The support you had was just so wonderful. You inspire me (I’ll never be able to run like you but your tenacity is something we can all learn lessons from )
Mo is such an inspiration! I’m 4 weeks out from my second half marathon and this vid gives me so much motivation 🫶
