Is it the Pearson's or Spearman's version needed as they have different ways to find the degrees of freedom. Are students expected to calculate the degrees of freedom for the coefficient correlation as in the Collins textbook it is not explained at all. Thanks
if spearmans rank of correlaiton coefficient measures associaiton rather than correlaiton between two variables, why write null hypotheis with correlation, shoudlnt it be association, that's what we do in maths a level!
This makes much more sense now, thank you!
You're welcome 😊
amazing summary of stats skills in bio
So useful! Thank you!!
Thanks for the comment :) Glad you found it helpful.
Thank you this video was very informative!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
thank you, it was useful 😃
😁😁 glad it helped

For AQA df is just number of pairs for spearmans
Thank you!
Hi, Unfortunately I can't reach your notes. Could u kindly send the link you mentioned in the video?
Hey, they are at missestruch.co.uk
This is so helpful thank you, however, the link doesn't seem to work
Thank you! I've updated the link 😊
@@MissEstruchBiology Hi miss, it still says error for me :(
missestruch.co.uk/
in the exam would we be expected to use equation
Hello,
No, you wouldn't be asked to calculate the statistic, just to analyse and conclude what it shows you.
Thank you, very informative
I hope they're helpful for you 😊
Amazing video, keep it up
thank you
thanks, also great for Marine science :)
Ah so glad! You're welcome!!!
Hi miss Estruch, which statistical tests will be on AQA biology paper 1?
Hello
any of the 3 could come up on any paper ( correlation coefficient, t test or chi squared)
@@MissEstruchBiology oh okayy thanks x
do we need to know the difference between pearsons and spearmans for aqa ?
No, as you don't have to do the calculation in the exam
@@MissEstruchBiology okay thank you
