This is the best walk through of a car I have ever watched. You truly went through every aspect of the the car (without talking about stupid stuff that no one cares about) and you showed me everything I wanted to see. And you don't have an annoying voice. Keep it up dude!
+Lucas Downen Thanks Lucas! Please share if you can.
MikesCarInfo Does it have drawers below the seats?
I love my 2015 VW Eos. I always dreamed of having a convertible, and this one is the best. Will probably never replace it
Do you still have it if so any problems?
I have a 2008 Model in Midnight Blue..i have to say it is a dream to drive ,very comfortable not to mention the 2.0 TDI diesel engine, hard top convertible with built in Sunroof ,so you can drive your car in any season you wish to..
I would highly recommend this gorgeous vehicle to anybody wants a sports car with heaps of luxury features, you will Love it
I totally agree with that, even if rains, because is a Hard Top Convertible, so it's more resistance than a Soft Top Convertible (the bad thing is less trunk space) or if you need total trunk space because you gonna travel or go to the supermarket but wants to feel the aire have Sunroof, and with the Windows down
I have a 2014 with the TSI gasoline engine, the little beast takes off like a bandit. I was not aware that they were avaliable with a TDI. How does the Diesel model accelerate? I'm not totally inexperienced with the TDI's as I have owned two 2013 Diesel Beetles. They couldn't accelerate like the gasoline models, but once at speed they could increase rapidly. All in all, I like my Eos.
This is my dream car! A wonderful 4 passengers Hard Top Convertible with Sunroof, and one Cup Holder for each one. Besides a very economic fuel engine consume
I absolutely adore this car
I was really amazed the first time I sat in one of these. So cool how they implement a sunroof and hardtop convertible in one car
Am quite sure that the hardtop convertible idea was taken from the Ford Thunderbird '62, '63, '66.models.
I wish more cars were made with this feature. Non ever were. I want a sportier car but with this roof.
i love this car... when the roof is closed it looks like a normal car.. nobody will ever even think about stealing it or touching it.. and when u ride it u can open the roof and it will look cool !
Same here. I love that it does not look like a convertible. People are always surprised when the top comes down, especially when the sun roof is up and you put the rood down. Such a cool car!!
@@tracymoring9560 this guy knows nothing about the car and is awkward. I could school him and show how my passion is better than this awkward tutorial
That's what I love about Hard Top Convertibles! With Soft Top Convertibles somebody can break it with a knife and goodbye, with Hard Top Convertibles are more resistance, and looks like a normal coupe
@@vwood2112 so go and make your own video then, and if you don't like it don't watch it... Some people just want to make bad critics 🙄
That's a nice looking car. I have to say Volkswagen has really stepped up their game. So have you lol u liked the intro. Great work man.
excellent and very informative video better than my sales guy gave me a few days ago. These cars are so nice and I have wanted one for years , but hard to get and price does not drop. The video you ran was the best i have seen on you tube and i have to say better than the dealership I bought my 2015 executive from a few days ago. thankfully I had done research over the years on these cars and knew about them.
Aww yeah.. Mike stepping his game up with 4k! That's what I'm talking about. I didn't even know VW had a convertible lmao.
The center console also folds out and is an armrest! I love my 2012 Volkswagen Eos Lux 🙏
I love my Volkswagen Eos, smooth comfortable and quiet
Thanks for this overview. Very helpful.
Thank you... Please share this video if you can :)
I'm in the market for a used car and saw one of these on road recently. Didn't know what it was so decided to do some research. Great overview/walkaround of this car, thanks. This looks almost perfect for what I want. The only negative thing that I can see is how much trunk space is lost with the top down. A soft top would not take up all that space but then it isn't as quiet or weather tight as this retractable hardtop. One of the other cars I'm looking at is the 3rd generation (NC) Mazda MX-5. It comes with either a traditional soft top or a retractable hardtop. The retractable hardtop does not take up any trunk space when folded, which is an amazing engineering feat in my eyes. And, although rare, it is available as a manual, which would be my preference. Choices, choices.
Unless you are dealing with a removable top (like a jeep wrangler), you will always have a small trunk with a convertible. I can fit two pieces of lugguage comfortably and pull the compartment cover down so I can use the convertible with no issues.
Very nice car.
Very informative.
This was a very nice introduction to the 2015 Volkswagen Eos. Well executed and thorough. Nice looking automobile, the only thing I didn't like about the car was the brown color.
I like the VR6 version, was thinking about getting an Eos but 6 cylinder one, had a MK4 R32 but lost it 😢 to a flood!
thinking about the 2016 model year as a first car
Cool mike
If they still made the Eos and it was on the MQB platform, and had all the tech updates, I probably would have bought it instead of my 2018 Golf GTI Autobahn. Convertibles are sick
you live in sc too?
lol this car has some cool ass features. Never seen a convertible have a sunroof before
And you won't see one again for now since the Eos is no longer in production...
What is the cost plz tell
get one while you still can
Having mine delivered next monday😆
Sure I want one of there, but the bad thing is than here in Spain isn't very often to see
What is the cost plz tell anyone
I absolutely love this car...my only comment is that the GPS lacks a traffic feed and there is no rear camera on the trim I bought (Komfort). I don't know if they are on the higher trim but since this was a closeout, the Komfort trim was all that was left for the 2015 model at my dealership.
BTW...since my last post, I added a backup camera from NAV-TV. They had one that installs on the Eos so that it functions as if it came factory installed. As for the no GPS traffic integration, I can live without it since many times, the service was not accurate or providing prompt information (at least in other cars I had owned that had it).
The seating is not leather on the Komfort trim. Its Leatherette...and the steering wheel is not Leatherette, it's leather...
Does this have a rear camera?
Not the Komfort trim, which was my car (the same one reviewed here), but I had one installed from NAV-TV which functions as if it was factory installed...but since it is June 2016, there are no more new Eos models left.
The levels just above the Komfort level have them.
Can u sit a person in the middle back seat?
No...this is a four seater car
Zip around town and be al awsome😀
@ Eric Terrin - My point was, that may be a very nice, and good, car...but they are not the same TYPE of car in any way shape or form. So your point is mute. VW owns 27 companies (to include Porche) most people aren't even aware of and are a top of the line company as well. I like Volvo, its good, but again, different car completely. Hope your father enjoys his car to the max!! Let EOS owners enjoy theirs. #GreatCarForTheMoneyAndMore
Some people do, just like some people are more in the Off-Road Lines, and maybe you don't like them, the fact than you don't like Convertibles doesn't mean than others can't
I have a VW Eos , and I would not recommend you leave it outside in winter as the seals on the roof are not all that good , the seals do require regular (at least three times a year) cleaning and lubricating otherwise your roof will leak like a sieve filling the trunk and passenger footwells with water .
As I garage the car, having the dealership do the seals every 15,000 miles has worked fine for me (so far).
I had one that was not a problem, even in winter. I always used the special lubricant that you can purchase from a dealership or directly from VW, that I put on it every time I washed it. Just a little something I had to remember to do. It was worth it though. Love the car.
He can't see the intercooler? It's right in front of him
+Tom Hemmer That is usually when I overlook stuff when it is right in front of our face... can you point it out for me?
+MikesCarInfo Yeah, open the hood, the radiator is across the front. To your right, driver's left is another smaller radiator with some air slots in the cowling in front of it. It backs up the rad. That's it. an intercooler is nothing more than a small radiator that the hot , compressed air from the turbo passes through to cool it before it goes to the intake manifold. It's worth some horsepower
+Tom Hemmer Thanks for the info Tom!
+MikesCarInfo Glad to help. I love my 07, I don't know why VW never advertised the Eos. Every where I go people tell me that they really like it and they never knew that VW made anything like it.
More women tend to purchase this car...my husband didn't even want to purchase mine. Same engine as the GTI.
'' it leaks ''.....NUFF SAID !!!!!
Leaks what?
If you are referring to the roof, you are responsible for ensuring that the seals are lubricated periodically so they don't dry out. That is the case with all convertibles, including soft tops. Mine is done annually and I've not had any issues in the 7.5 years of ownership. There are videos on UA-cam that will show you how to do this if you don't wish VW to handle that for you. They can also clear the rain holes so they is no water backup.
they should've brought the Golf cabrio, not this EOS which is too expensive :(
EOS is the only hard top convertible IN THE WORLD, with a working sunroof. Such a cool car. and the engine is not the same as the Cabrio. Much better engine speed and performance...

Drinking game - every time he says something is "pretty cool", take a shot. You'll be sh*t-faced within 3 minutes.
I love this car too but you're not vdub
You dont know about vw for anything. A joke. You dont know anything about the brand
I make videos about cars not brands.
What is the cost plz tell anyone
When it was new, the 2015 Komfort trim was $31,999.
