Bought mine a couple of months ago. People please be careful if you buy one. Check that roof mechanism (try is at least 3-4 times before you purchase the car) if the owner lets you. If he doesn't, just simply run away :))). If he doesn't let you on rainy days or winter that's understandable. Most important to check is the sunroof which is expensive to repair. The kit costs arround 300 dollars/ but to install it's the same price (total 600$). The sunroof engine aswell (150-200$). Also check the hydraulic pump for rust because that is extremely expensive ( also check for leaks ) rust won't be an issue if it doesn't leak (most EOS's have rust on that pump). And also check the soft close mechanism on the boot because that malfunctions and it won't close the trunk. Check the roof flaps if they close and open properly (if they don't.... the string that holds them is loosen or the mechanism is dead which is cheap to repair 40-50$ a flap and also easy to install). Check when you're in the car in the back if the textile that is covering the roof mechanism in the back glass (where the defroster lines are). In conclusion just check these and what the video tells you. And also do some maintanance on the roof once a year which is arround 150-180$, that will help the mechanism alot (cleans all the pieces and parts). Hope what i've said helps (happy Eos hunting guys :D )

I have a 2008 eos with 190k miles. I’ve done all the maintenance it runs so smooth. Pro-tip; clean and maintain the rubber gaskets for your roof. It will greatly help. I do it every couple weeks in the summer and do the maintenance. It’s a great car if you take care of it.

I love my 2011 model baby! So much fun to drive and no issues apart of the regular maintenance, driving for 4th year by now. Don't want to think about the day when I will need to sell it!

My father wants to buy one as a secondary family car for fun and for me to drive around but my main concern is the reliability of it. I also dont like the red color of the one he wants but i bet i could make it look good with different tires. Besides those 2 reasons, it seems like a solid car

If you treat it right it’ll run forever I had a 2008 with 197k and teenage me blew it up, keep up with the maintenance you got a solid car

@@maui5441 finally got it and its kinda busted looks wise from the previous owner or 2. Our mechanic did some work on the engine before hand but other than that, its a solid car. Just doing some maintenance on the rubber seals and other small things like a new window motor and radio. It has 160k miles on it!

@Kostadin Pavlov still running smooth at 174k miles! Havnt dones any work to make it look nice visually, but the engine has had no issue besides a cam position sensor that ill replace soon. I had to replace the window motor since it tangled up and snapped, and im trying to figure out how to stop water from leaking in through the hard top canopy. Old age issues but i love it

Getting an oil and filter change at 40000 mile intervals is not good advice to give to people. I would change every 6-10000 miles.

He's talking about the transmission. Its a dual-clutch transmission which has a 40,000 mile service interval and includes a fluid exchange.
