Thanks for some great useful info on these dreadful discrete component FX laden Vox guitars. Klemt made some early onboard FX stuff too, and it is just as bad or worse. I usually replace a lot of the old passive stuff and get it done once done right. Bruel & Kjaer's audio test equipment was stacked and layered boards much like the Vox stuff only multiple layers. It's great test gear, once you get it refurbished.

Re: the 'Ferro Sonic" pickups on these guitars - what are their typical DC resistance readings? And are these pickups comparable to sound wise? thanks
