Foreigner in it's prime with the original members...unreal! I've heard this song 100 times and have never noticed how much Gagliardi's bass drives this song. It's very busy in the backround.
Like you I have heard this many hundreds of times, over many decades, without fully appreciating what a monster JAM this is. So much funk. Love love love this live version!
Those power ballads in no way represented the Foreigner that I absolutely fell in love with when they released their self-titled debut album during my senior year of high school. To this day it's still one of my all-time favorite albums as it has so many great tunes. The three hits were Feel Like the First Time, Cold as Ice, and Long Long Way From Home but it also had other great songs such as Starrider, Headknocker, Damage Is Done, At War With the World, I Need You,etc. You need to make it a point to sit down one day and listen to it in it's entirety. It's a classic!
Did you notice how good Lou was at chewing gum while singing? lmao Read Lou's autobiography, "Juke Box Hero: My Five Decades in Rock 'N' Roll." Good read.
Lou Gramm's voice is second to none and Mick Jones' tone influenced me so much when i was a kid. It made wanna play electric guitar. particularly this album.
Legendary right there .... I have seen them many times in concert and it's always a good rockin show. The original lineup off the first album is one of the greatest of all time. Check out the Baby's also from the same frame of time ... they put out some killer music aslo.
Cheesy?! I feel personally attacked! 🤣😂 OMG, I LOVED the 80s so much (although Foreigner started in the 70s for me - yeah, I just skewed your demographic. 😉) Imagine being a 14/15 year old, having this song played at every party and by every garage band you followed. It was pretty fun. I followed Lou Gramm after he split from Foreigner and am a huge fan. Loved this reaction. ❤
Foreigner was a great band. I believe they're still touring today. (with some different members) How about their live version of my favorite Foreigner song - "Feels Like the First Time".
**FUN FACT** The song "Funky Cold Medina", by Tone-Loc, uses the Groove from "Hot Blooded" as the Main Riff! He Also uses Van Halen's "Jaimie's Cryin'" in his song "Wild Thing"!
Their “Foreigner Live” album from (I think) 1980 is ridiculously awesome. One of the greatest live albums ever. That was their peak. The version of shot Blooded on that album is 100x better than this. They improved, and were way more aggressive. Check it out.
I absolutely love the way Lou holds the high note on Damage is Done on that Live CD. Yeah, I've heard Lou sound waaay better than he does on this video. I've heard him sound way better than he does on their Live at Deer Creek concert video as well.
Just saw them last night in concert here in Rapid City. They were awesome. No original members left but you couldn’t tell. They sounded just as good and rocked just as hard.
I'm 50 and I'm sad that you didn't get to hear this when it was new. Fun fact: they are still touring and making music. The original lead singer couldn't sing anymore and he hand picked his replacement. Your vids are cool.
Lou had NOTHING to do with picking Kelly as his replacement. In fact, if you've seen interviews with Lou it's clear he's not particularly fond of him for obvious reasons. The only new music the new lineup has released was the CD named Can't Slow Down and it's rather pedestrian and soft, IMO. I'm not a hater as I saw the new lineup a handful of times between '05-'07 when Jason Bonham was on drums and Mick was onstage for every single minute of every show. Instrumentalist Tom Gimbel is no longer with the band now which is a big loss since his replacement doesn't even play sax which is totally unacceptable when it comes to Foreigner's catalog. I'm sad to see my all-time favorite band ride into the sunset without a single original member onstage. IMO, they shouldn't be touring if Mick can't be onstage for the entire show. It's nothing but a money-grab now.
@@hondaphan4172 Huh...that's news to me. I actually got that information watching an interview contemporary to them choosing the new singer. Looks like Lou and Mick's relationship took a dump over the last 8 years or so, maybe Lou can actually talk about it now. But, I agree. I went to see Yes shortly after Squire's death and there was noone left on stage from the original band and I just left. Gave the shirt to my then 20 year old daughter.
This show was at the rainbow in Hollywood ca. in 78, I was there, lived on the sunset strip 77-80 and I've seen them all.
Look, that is real Rock! REALLY

Love it! Check out "Head Knocker" by Foreigner if ya get a chance...it a banger
In his prime, Lou Gramm was as good as anybody.
Truth
Came to say this. Left satisfied.
Dude had some serious pipes.
Yes he was great voice.
There was nothing cheesy about this Travis it's simply called real talent brother so we need Them G to bring us more Foreigner. Great reaction!
Lou Gramm's voice is second to none and Mick Jones' tone influenced me so much when i was a kid. It made wanna play electric guitar. particularly this album.
Lou is unstoppable here!
Im getting tired of leaving comets you 2 are killing it as always my fingers are getting tied you 2 rock

I remember when this came out about 1977/78. It was a catchy tune back then.
This song, So Cold as Ice, Waiting for a Girl like You, Foreigner and other great seventies bands, memories as teenager those years coming back ....
Love this one. I love cheese 80s love songs also.
Spot-on about Lou Graham's singing. I saw Foreigner in 1984 in St Louis MO. they played hit after hit, awesome show.
Ребята! Спасибо за форейгнер и за ваши комменты старых групп.Вы классные! Я подписана на вас.
Foreigner were never "cheesy." They were Legit until Lou Gramm left the band.
Used to roller skate fast backwards to this song one of my favorites.
SQ, you look beautiful as always! Great song and great reaction!

Some different members? The whole line up is different these days sorry to say..
There are no original members now.
Hey 80s love tunes can be found with a band kingdom come not reacted to much YET! GOOD BAND CHECK THEM OUT!
Is Lou CHEWING GUM in between singing lyrics???
Lou is the man

Killer voice
You should listen to Heartlands I loved her first
I dig watching you guys...you really seem to appreciate all the facets of musicianship, and your funny as hell too....keep it coming...🤘
Do they check if you're "Hot blooded" before a concert during covid??? lol
Europe , Ready or Not ... forget the cheese , this is how they rock too.
Much like REO Speedwagon, Foreigner was a rock band. Look at the dates on the cheese. Make sure you stay before those dates and you can't go wrong.
All Right Now
this song just reminds me of the Tacoma FD show intro
Bones!
The lead guitarist, Mick Jones, is award winning producer Mark Ronsons stepfather
Mick also produced VH's OU812 and Billy Joel's Stormfront. He also wrote the song Dreamer for Ozzy in '01.

Has a certain blue haired singing goddess been in quarantine to long? Lol I love you guys.
You guys have to react to

Hi ! When Mylène Farmer please ? 😁
Just saw them last night in concert here in Rapid City. They were awesome. No original members left but you couldn’t tell. They sounded just as good and rocked just as hard.
Wasn't Mick Jones there? Original and founding member and lead guitarist. I saw them in 2019 and he was there !
@@markhaus2830 no he wasn’t. If he was he was backstage
It's a 1978 not 80s

I'm comparingf Maiden to this melodic musicit just does not add up to me....somehow give me Maiden anyday, but it is nice.
