@@shadowbandit3975 That's the joke, because in reality competence is not enough. Reliance on someone with so little to lose means they can easily leave you in the lurch. It's more important to have someone good enough who has a proven track record than having a star who shows up late or worse makes others look bad. This is why companies hire consultants, as they can take the blame for the mistakes of others.

I can't speak 100% for the public sector, but from working with private companies the usual routine is as follows:
Get employed to preform task A.
      Preform task A.
If task A is preformed within the timeframe, task B gets added on top of the original workload.
If task B is preformed within the timeframe, task C gets added etc etc.
You get the idea. You are not hired for your expertice, but to preform a task. If you are found to be adept at this, the manager will just keep piling on more work.
In contrast I've heard from friends that government employment is much more relaxed in this regard. You work your scheduled hours and preform the scheduled tasks. If you finish early you can take it easy for the rest of the shift (again, this is only what I've been told).

Every book being published right now about crypto currencies is telling us that blockchain is simplistic and nothing but a simple set of code. Not transformational.

The only people who think that aid can write a competent and concise piece of writing are people who can't write and don't read unless forced. To everyone in-industry it's painfully obvious and embarassing for people trying to pass off these alphabetti spaghetti articles and essays as informed and judiciously written pieces.
When the ai finally masters perspective and tense it might start to fool people but it can't even manage that consistently yet.
Atop all that... Writing isn't a chore to be avoided. If you believe it is, you don't understand it.

@@bartandaelus359 It's probably like that for the 1% of english user that master the language. I hate to say this but chatgpt probably write with better grammar and more coherent content than most people can. And remember this is just the beginning. AI is like a new born baby and get better all the time at their task. Just like chess, and go, AI will one day be better at any single task than any human. It has already given more accurate diagnosis for patient than the average doctor.
