To answer your question from Gary’s stream about there being other Aegons. King Jaehaerys had an older brother, Aegon the Uncrowned, he and his dragon Quicksilver were killed by Maegor the Cruel and Balerion
Also Jaehaerys' first child was also named Aegon but he died 3 days after being born because Alysanne was attacked in Jonquil's pool and she blamed his death on that attack.
In my mind Harrenhal belongs to the Old Gods, who favour the Children and the weirwood. It's cursed because the gods have their own ideas. The weirwood and the presence of the God's Eye nearby makes it essentially the capitol castle of the weirwood network to me. There is a clear magical presence there. When Bloodraven moved North of the wall and took the place of the Three Eyed Crow he has access I think he became the embodiment of the weirwood network. The same will happen with Bran in the main story. That's why I buy he'll be the king at the end of the story, only he'll rule from Harrenhal.
I think Rhaenys meant that Otto wouldn't have sent a single Kingsguard in disguise as his brother. In season 1 Otto wanted the lord commander to take a team of men. He's never liked the Daemon approach of a single person acting on his own. Otto prefers for plans to be thoroughly.. well, planned. Or she could just be wrong lol. If she thinks better of Otto that may well explain her hesitation to burn the Greens alive
If this show's lesson is that women couldn't stop the hot tempers of men I'm down, but then I want the show runners to define the term men. If Aegon announces he's now Lady Agnis does that's suddenly negate the theme?
Good episode except for the end. Not a deal breaker but I would have preferred the conversation come when the war was in full swing. More impact and more natural/organic. As for the reason she finally gets off her ass, there was already plenty of them. As for Daemon I was very encouraged by the Director’s words. She (the same one that Directed 8 last year) was establishing Daemon’s motivations with Matt Smith. It was totally from his POV. She was totally sympathetic and her stated reasons were spot on, imo. I also enjoy watching all the Green supporters who are borderline obsessed wail about how they’re giving Daemon a conscience. It’s ridiculous but hilarious
It’s a woke show about the lesbian love story of Rhaenyra with Mysaria and Alicent. You might wanna cover that. They also ruined Daemon by making him a crybaby who does disgusting sht to his mom
So, I am rewatching the original Star Trek series, and there is erotic tension everywhere! And it's not just the sexy outfits. But they don't hurt. And in HOTD I am getting none of that tension. Zero! Also, there are major girl boss vibes! it could still go either way but I am not optimistic. Gary promised us a show where the women are utterly horrible! Which would have been fun. So far, it's not the show that Gary promised us! #justsayin'
Why did Viserys marry Alicent Hightower? He didn't have to. The king can fuvk whoever he wants. When his son was born why is there any question of who leads next? If he didn't marry Alicent, Rhaenyra would have claim to the throne but as soon as they're married and there's a son, the son IS THE HEIR. WHY DID VISERYS MARRY ALICENT HIGHTOWER?!? I'm beginning to think George R.R. Martin is a terrible writer bordering on totally incompetent. It's been 4739 days since A Dance With Dragons was released and I think that's where the series will end.
