I thought I couldn't love him any more...til I watched this. This is a treasure to be able to have this sit with a legend.
Hell to the yeah sweetie! Love this he is just so sweet it melts you. He reminds me of a goofy brother at times grew up with 3. Stevie is a treasure.
I’m 31 years old and this man one of those musicians that I wish I could have went to see in concert before he died.
Listening to him speak makes me feel like he could've been my best friend, I certainly could have been his. He really is a wealth of knowledge for his craft. What a blessing he still is, just having the ability to listen to him speak all these years later ~ kimie
Stevie was not a mean drunk 😆
Love hearing his insights on Billy Gibbons and ZZ Top. God bless him!
Great sense of humor!! I'm laughing so hard!! Soooo nice to hear him, always. SRV's music lifts me above this chaotic world.
I would give 20 years of my life just to be able to sit down and talk with him over good Texas cooking.
I'd give 20 years of my life to see him do/say/play ... anything!
Texas was a country
before it became a
state.
Most people don't know that.If you are from there
or living there you'd have to experience it.
💗
Me too definitely
The patience of Job. He was a kind soul!
A legend that left us way to soon, but Stevie’s influence from Albert King and Stevie’s music lives on. Music never dies it just goes on.
Well said...
Such a gentlemen!!
For a moment... forget the fact that he played the way he did.
He was so much fun! I'm about as inebriated tonight as he was here.
Not sloshy...just comfortable.
And now I'll go watch him play.
So glad they kept filming through all the takes 🖤🖤
He was such a tremendous loss, the older I get the more I feel that. The city of Austin is also a loss that is difficult to deal with.
Amen, lived there for 15 years through the 90’s and part of the 2000’s. My Daughter lives there now. It is nothing like it used to be. Loss is a good word for its description.
A true blues guitar hero and my favourite of all time. Rest in peace Stevie Ray Vaughan, a truly great man and he will forever be missed and remembered as the greatest.
I was lucky to meet him when he played the Channel club in Boston. He had to sign a Strat for a contest winner. It was an amazing night to witness the greatest guitarist in history. My opinion of course.
In my opinion he played those Hendrix songs better than Hendrix himself.
SRV is probably one of the very few musicians that nobody has a bad thing to say about him
Thank you for posting this. SRV, we miss you.
RIP, Brother.
These interviews are priceless. Thanks! For the upload. Stevie was a character for sure. What you see, is what you get.
Stevie cracking me at the end here!... Loved his sense of humor!.. Bet he was awesome to party with !!!😆.. Awesomeness
Myanna's Magic he’s was miserable...stuck in a cycle of cocaine and booze. He got sober...
He was an alcoholic and an addict. So, the fact that you want to "party" with him, is in poor taste. Have some class.
He Was HIGHER Than SHIT Here....But Thank God He FINALLY Got Help, Got Clean & Sober & STAYED CLEAN & SOBER TILL HE LEFT US AUG 27, 1990!! I KNOW The Struggle, Stevie...YOU WON THE WAR, Sweet Man!!😘 Miss & Love You Still!!💕 Soul💞Soul!!
Sober or drunk, I bet he’d still be a great time just to hang with
Wow..Stevie Ray Vaughan being Stevie.hahahaha..I just laugh along with him..what else can you do..Stevie is SENSATIONAL any way he decides to do a interview..hahaha
Yup, agree. Cant judge humility, grace, sweetness, kind heart, and brilliance. Hes in heaven, for sure. RIP SRV. crying for our loss...😭
This is freakin awesome~!
6:17 He's right! Stevie was big and impossible to ignore!
Miss ya!🎸💚🎸💚
GREAT Comment! I Agree 💯Percent! I Miss Stevie Terribly - Still....I Hope He Knows How Much We ALL Do! Soul💞Soul, Stevie😘
man hes such a goof ball its halarious
Sober or not This guy is an legend☺ Rip
Stevie Is ALSO A Legend BECAUSE He Got SOBER - Permanantly! Fuckin' A, Stevie!✊...Seventeen Years & STILL Going!😉 S💞S!
Feel like I’m related to this man. Not sure if it was the alcohol or his genuine soul personality but he’s got that innocent humor that I love!
WHAT About Stevie & His Alcohol Use Could Possibly Make You Feel "Related"...??😳🧐🤔 He Was Horribly Addicted To It & To Various Drugs For The Majority Of His Short Life - Almost Dying Because Of Those Addictions & Severe Substance Abuse While On Tour In Germany In September Of 1986 - But He Was Still Able To Get Into Treatment For These Addictions, Get Clean & Sober & Rework His Whole Lifestyle To Remain That Way...& When He Was Tragically Killed In A Helicopter Crash In August Of 1990 - HE WAS CLEAN & SOBER!! Stevie Did Have A Very Sweet, Childlike Innocence & Humor About Him ....& He Was The Sweetest Person On The Planet! Not Too Bad On Guitar, Either!☺️ ➡️➡️Check Out Stevies' Whole Story - Just As He Told It, Just Months Before He Died - It Was Recorded - To Be Shared - @ One Of His AA Meetings In Early 1990 & Is Available On You Tube!
what an interesting study for a body language expert! He's such a sensitive, gracious and lovely 100% MALE. And just LOOK at those huge, powerful, muscular hands!
I Bet Stevie Would LOVE This Comment!
this is such a wonderful piece...I just LOVE Stevie Ray!
We ate all so prod of him! We love him, we part to his music and we teach our kids about him and his music. 🎸❤️
The Lone Star Cafe ain’t too bad either. Yum!
"Errrthang in the state of Texas in BIG" 😂😂😂
She is allowing him to embarrass himself. I loved him. Still do. Greatest guitarist ever, giving homage to everyone that came before him.
Love and miss you forever. SRV 💙
Best Smile 😄
Oooh boy, was he ever lit by this point in the interview.
So real and legit with the belch! God Love ya SRV!!
lot's of people concerning themselves about Stevie being high, I say this SO-WHAT, that's his business...don't put expectations on your heros, they are doing what they feel like, and do not need you critic or approval.
And our heroes are only just perfectly human like us. They trip, slip and fall all the time just like anyone else. God bless Stevie Ray Vaughn and the short time we had with the man, cherish it forever.
SRV FOREVER, FOREVER SRV.
i concur... no one seems to give a crap that he died SOBER... that's a champion...RIP SRV
Personally anyone who can criticize are people who have zero clue on what it's like to constantly be under a microscope. Always having to perform and give 100 percent. Almost like they are never allowed to have bad days either. There's nothing glamorous about fame. It's constant stress. Drugs are what most of those famous people turn to so they can get numb from those pressures. This man was a gift to us. He gave us what he was put on this earth to give us. We had the pleasure of listening to his craft and his voice through his guitar. Don't fault him for his vices. Praise him for his success. He could of been a victim to drugs but instead he was a conquerer of them. He died Sober in a helicopter crash. Like many others taken too soon from us. Now sit back and enjoy every damn thing this man made legendary just being transparent with you . Even his demons.
I agree with you 100% guess what through all the years of music being made almost everyone has been under the influence, how do you think some people get inspired? I'm not saying hey get high to get shit done I'm saying people need to worry about themselves instead of trying to give someone a bad rep!!!
Nobody's perfect accept maybe his playing was!
thunmbs up 699...SRV you are SO FINE !...thanks so much for all Thee AMAZING MUSIC and shows...R.I.P.
My Brotha Stevie Miss ya 🎶🎶🎶☮️🎸
What a classic, getting a little smashed there, love you Stevie wherever you are and miss you horribly.
Stevie was A God amongst men, I hope I see him on the other side
I'm so sorry I didn't get to see or meet Stevie Ray ...always a fan...never knew what a great person and kind soul that he was until seeing the old interviews.
Miss you Stevie.
wish i could have seen him live :(
Howdy folks, Did see him twice in 84 85. Mind blowing at 19 yrs. Was already playing myself for a few years. Was,into the blues and then he blue the lid off and schooled a lot of people...but a true heart for the music and musicians
5:32 This mans is "honking" at cars
BAHAHAHAA I HAD ONLY HEARD STEVIE CURSE ONE TIME BEFORE THAT WAS FUNNY 😂😂😂😂
The man was damn funny.😀
So sad he's gone
I know he would’ve been great to meet and get to know him! I certainly would’ve liked to meet him!
Stevie is a music God.
He was a kind man.

@@sebfreshnckf3504 thank you very much ! l will make a video if l finish them ,you are right they are tough but so beautiful 😍
@@harmandalap8265 ive been playing his stuff for years, let me know if you need any tips, hints or secrets to get his sounds
I bet he would’ve been so interesting to talk to! I would’ve asked a million questions, and I think he would’ve been nice enough to give good answers to them!
I saw him twice. Once when he was still partying. And after he quit. Belive me.you could tell the difference.it still makes me sad after he got his shit together. He gets killed in a pointless helicopter crash.
OMG I miss HIM❣️
Stevie Ray Vaughan is who he is..these interviewers knows that maybe..cant be proven that Stevie might be under the influence..but..they dont seem to care and neither do I..r you with me? A legend..RIP Stevie
TEXAS Sound is REAL y’all! Lez go!!
quest'intervista è fantastica! Lui è fantastico! Chi se ne frega se non era sobrio o magari altro.. quest'intervista è vera.. lo mostra com'era in quel periodo... e non credo che lui si aspettasse che finisse sulla rete nella sua interezza. i don't care about how he was i still love him and his great music.
TX boys
We will carry the torch Little Stevie, rest easy
He was such a beautiful man and gorgeous man I wish he was my husband love you stevie🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
I just can't get past the size of Jimmy's Hand! No wonder he was the best player on the planet Earth ever!
6:40 LOL
I am like Stevie when I'm Sober...
I would gve anything to have been born his nxt door neighbor...lmao..😘
Why was part 4 of this great 4 part interview taken down.. don't understand it
The first take was the best, should’ve left him alone, he ain’t capable of faking, & it was making him uncomfortable that’s why he couldn’t get it right. It’s unnatural to him to fake, in case you haven’t noticed, just check his music…
he is so high
I know little about this interviewer or the show, but I wish that she had showed a little more deference to SRV.
6:31 “I like that one” “fuck it” 😂
What a cut up. Interviewers were to critical, should have let the interview NATURAL
He started to catch a buzz from the night before, but as a pro he would pep up just for the show, and walking that balance
#TresHombres
HES SO FUCKING FUNNY💀💀
Fame has its price, doesn't it?
"NO! Pfffft! I like that, fuck it!" Hahahahahaha I did like it too. Why mention "pop music" in the same sentence that talks about the great music from TX though? I know pop copies from the greatest...but in my opinion, that comment was unnecessary.
Drunk 🥴
He's drunk asf 😂😂
Hahaha ohhhh ya he is
427 cubes Just because it was said he did that on a few occasions doesn’t mean that every drink he drank had cocaine in it.
427 cubes Yes, he did sometimes dissolve cocaine into booze...I am very aware of the story btw. What I’m swaying is that there’s no proof he had cocaine in his booze every single time he drank like in this video.
@@drummer78 no one ever said he had coke in every drink.
the guys and the woman, that interviews him, knows well,he is drunk, but they go on and on and on ...and than, they put it on internet ,for money. We will find out, who it was. thank you.
The interviewer was doing her job and during the actual interview, SRV answered the questions very eloquently even if he was buzzed. Most of these clips here are spontaneous outtakes too and not the actual interview. Btw, she didn’t post this video up on UA-cam...regardless, we should be happy it is on UA-cam as the full interview shows SRV to humble, knowledge and funny.
Sweet soul. I couldn't watch to the end..watching the alcohol destroy what began as an insightful beautiful conversation ( minus the stupid questions) Why is it the creative souls must pay such a high price?
Cause they feel more things deeply, happiness but even the sad parts life
Definately under the influence here
Great interview. Wish Stevie was a bit more sober or less high. But hey, it is what it is and he was what he was. The end of a gig just coming down. Stevie Ray was the BEST blues guitar player ever. Eric Clapton said that when he was driving in London, he heard Stevie play. He said he pulled his car over and openly wept because he figured his guitar future was over.
bruceandt jj
Clapton always had a tone for drama. He said he did the same when hearing Hendrix's play. Guess they're just good musicians with different personalities.
I've always loved Eric's playing but honestly he is quite boring now. I could only dream to hear where Stevie would've gone with his playing. Our loss for sure.
Stevie Ray Vaughan has other things on his mind from all the alcohol he has consumed and this interview is just wearing his spirit down..Stevie wants pizza and get to whatever tickles his toes....Stevie is a young guy and the more alcohol he consumes..the more Stevie is trying to find ways to get out of there...This is just a game to Stevie ..
Did you know him? He said he starting drinking bc that's what musicians did. He seems like he was introvert, kinda shy, who has to pretend to be a showman. All of his playing, movements, emotions were so authentically REAL. Nothing's hidden from this amazing man. Grateful and generous. All he did was talk about the other great musicians. Love this guy. Wish I could have heard him. I still seek out Buddy Guy whenever hes here. So much love for these blues legends. Makes me cry crocodile tears when I listen to them.
He definitely threw up in his mouth
"The Country of Texas".... well this might be why SRV is dead today.
GOD FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS COMMENT!!!
@@maureendrozda9960 unfucking believeable and I thought I had seen it all. No excuse for that kind of comment. No way
My mother cried when this man died.... All these years later, I get it.
I cried too! Please tell.your Sweet Mama she's not alone ! We will also see him again in Blues Heaven ! Much Love!
I'm Still CRYING!!!
Well - YEAH! What Is Crazy Is That There Was A Big Part Of Stevie That Would Be Amazed By That! Even As Loved As He Was - The Most Genuinely HUMBLE Human I Can Think Of...! Bless🙏You, Stevie....STILL Loved...STILL Missed!❤ SOUL💞SOUL!😘
Same. I never really cared for "Blues" music. But, I love SRV. 🤷 He's the ONLY musician, whose death, broke my heart. Idk, why that is....
Me too, cried my eyes out. I saw him in concert about 10 times and he was phenomenal.
