- Beat the META returns! We are trying to win in every single Gr.3 and Gr.4 car when it isn't the strongest car! Rules are as follows;
- First race is starting with no qualification time.
- Victory must be with at least 1 A+ driver
- No LIMIT on Races

What is Beat the META?
META means the Best Strategy so in Racing generally it means picking the best car... Sometimes it's a combination of Best Car for the Best Strategy. In this series we take a car which isn't the best (Not in the top 10 of the leaderboards) and we take on the best cars in an attempt to BEAT the META!
The point of the series is to show you don't always have to pick what everyone else picks to have fun!

Yeah this is why I like the Suzuki Gr cars, both require short shifting to perform optimally so it's basically ingrained into your mind haha

Group 4 always provides entertaining races. Not as fast as group 3 but more interesting with more than half the cars being viable choices. Relying more on car physics than aerodynamics produces some close racing as we just saw in the video.

I'm just thankful to finally see the Gr. 4 cars get some love! 😁 I think you start from scratch with Beat the Meta for this class, I would love to see this!
I agree starting over is the right choice. The game's been through a lot of changes. Not just BoP, but also physics and tyre wear models. Those changes combined are so big they basically invalidate all previous results.
I'm going to vote for the Megane Trophy, ofcourse. 🙂
Momoz managed to be mostly clean throughout that battle which from all accounts is somewhat unusual to say the least, but I think you were being generous with your appraisal of their driving on the approach to 130R, they were very much pushing you off imo, they turned in towards you in a very deliberate move, obviously not enough to cause a crash, but enough that it forced you into a compromised position with dirty tyres on the outside, which gave them the advantage in 130R and thus the rest of the lap
It was really good up until that point, but then as it got close to the end they could feel the pressure and started pushing at the limits of what I'd consider fair
Momoz is clearly a very good driver, but they ruin it with a reputation for dirty driving and imo they proved that reputation is well earned in this race
I agree, it looked like a calculated move, not an accident. He knew exactly what to do to get the win.

Honda NSX Gr4 has my vote. I've been having good races with it on Suzuka, can keep up with Supra's.

Hi guys, alot asking this. So here goes: Go to home garage and look at your cars MAX power points(what rpm's) Now go to your setting screen and look at the power graph. You will see a huge drop of in power above the max power point, Now go to a test session and check your front nose cam and gauges you'll see Polyphony hasn't set them up properly!!!. DO NOT REV PAST THE MAX POWER POINT. -Baz aka bazzerca.

I've been using the M4 quite a lot recently but oh my gosh, it's so slow for me :( I don't know why but it doesn't have the pace. Such a shame because I wanted to choose BMW with my alt account
yeah i think you should redo all gr4 cars from scrach the bop has changed loads in a year and no longer a stright 4wd fest as it once was there pretty ballanced. how ballanced we dont know till the car profiles come up and so on. anyway i think you should try the GTR it was once a meta car a while ago before mazda and audi domonated be good to see where these are nowadays

I always see the Gr4. M4 as a bit of a "meh" car, it's neither amazing nor poop, just "meh"
How do you know if you should rev out a car or not?
I'll do a video on it soon, but critically when I'm looking I do time trial and see if the time goes up or down on the straight as a final test.

It's the nurburgring 24hour car where it does have a road car interior still. So they're not wrong at all.
@@neblolthecarnerd I think you're way off. The car that raced in 2019 was a full race car. FIA rated cage and no road car interior. It looks stupid and lazy by PD. I could accept it in GT Sport, because it was a gift. But, it should have been corrected in GT7. Pure lazy. But, keep making excuses
@@racer14glr91 that's the gt4 car. The car we have in game is not a gt4 car. It's one of the modified road class nurburgring cars (I think the classes are called VT1, VT2, etc)
@@neblolthecarnerd those classes exist. But, the regulations wouldn't/don't allow full interiors, 3 point seatbelts, airbags, etc. Please stop making excuses for PD. The original gift car on GT Sport was the "Supra GT4 race car". It, like 97% of GTS, carried over.
