    That's a beautiful C6 Z06! Those Grand Sports hash marks almost threw my Corvette senses off for a second or two. 🙂

      Thank you. So, mine is the Ron Fellows edition and embossed in the hash marks is the Canadian flag and information about Ron’s C6 American Le Mans championships. This is #300 of the 399 production run.

    Can you leave the car on the dolly’s? And if so what if you only put them in the back wheels?

    What size are the auto dollies your purchased? The 12" or 16" width? I am looking for a set for my C6 as well. Thanks for this video, it was very helpful.

      It’s technically 15 3/4” wide - but rounded to 16 inches.

      To get it moving can be a bit tricky - especially if the wheels on the dolly aren’t lined up. It’s definitely a lot easier with two people, but one person can manage.

    Do you think you could spin a car around with these? I wanted to move a car sideways in my garage? Thanks for the information, probably gonna scoop some up either way

    • @YourHomeGarage
      @YourHomeGarage  2 роки тому +2

      You can spin a car 360 degrees on these. The casters swivel for easy movement. Though I wouldn’t recommend two people to help move the vehicle into position when there is a lot of movement involved.

      @@YourHomeGarage Why would you not recommend two people? So you'd recommend 3 people then?

      Sorry, that was a typo in my previous response - that should be “I would recommend two people” not “wouldn’t”.

  • @brianalphonso7466

    I'm guessing these come handy only if one is not able to reposition by starting the vehicle. Am I right?

    • @YourHomeGarage
      @YourHomeGarage  3 роки тому

      A non-starting vehicle is definitely an application as you can move it out of the way when you’re not working on it. Along with those that store a vehicle for a period of time and push it into a corner that is different to drive into.

    Any idea if these will work on a rougher surface? I'm trying to move a project out of the way and under my awning so I can finish her without getting any more bylaw complaints...the ground is a little bumpier than concrete though as it's older asphalt.

    • @YourHomeGarage
      @YourHomeGarage  11 місяців тому

      I wouldn’t recommend it for asphalt - I think it may sink depending on the temperature. Have you looked into renting a Automotive Power Pusher?

    • @jacoblami1731

      @@YourHomeGarage Won't help in this case since I'm dealing with drivetrain issues leaving the front 2 wheels locked on an AWD car.
      (fixing the front driveline would be the "project" for this project car)
      If I had a way to allow the front to roll freely the bumpers covers are quick release so I could easily nudge it with my ATV but so far everything I've tried gets hung up because the castor wheels aren't up to the task

      @@jacoblami1731 This might be a crazy thought! I just looked for steel sheets which Home Depot has in 2’x4’ lengths. With a few of these, you can place your car on the dolly’s, then roll each tire onto its own sheet. You’ll need two sheets for each tire so you can stagger from one sheet to the next. At least this allows you to move the car 4’ at a time before rolling onto a new sheet. This way the casters won’t get stuck on a rock or in a rut. Just trying to think of a creative way for your situation.

    Can you leave your car on the dollys for extended period of time?

    • @YourHomeGarage
      @YourHomeGarage  Рік тому +1

      Absolutely - roll a project car into the corner to be worked on in the future or a seasonal car pushed out of the way until the weather breaks. Whatever the reason, they are meant to be used for extended periods.

  • @leadman4273
    @leadman4273 2 роки тому +1

    These dollys are worthless. The plastic wheels are too small. They should be large rubber wheels. Difficult to impossible to move a car even with the wheels in the direction of the push. Been there done that.

    Those dollies are cheap garbage.. you have a 55k car and $100 dollies lol? The tires are way too wide for those skinny little dollies dude. Those bolts/nuts are jabbing right into the tire the whole winter. Not good for a 300+ tire.
